>be me>computer science graduate>can't find a job, any job>out of savings, will be homeless soon>plan to kill myself rather than deal with that or go back in shit hometown>parents find out that's my plan>they're sad>months later>mom is more supportive than ever and staying strong but i get the feeling this strength extends to dealing with my death>dad hasn't talked to me again since, hadn't talked to me for months before that anyway, and he didn't look particularly happy to see me both times anyway>in other news, i'm still a (non khh)-v, and flatmates who are fucking are deliberately or unwittingly waging some sort of psychological warfare that i'm too autistic to even understandwhat a life to live day to day, what a nice life to live. i wonder what percentile i am in for people who would have already killed themselves by now. i think i'm pretty tough for actually waiting for shit to undeniably hit the fan such as becoming homeless and not doing it right now.

>>84890112that's part of my problem actually, i have no particular interest in computer science, but i fell for the "easiest way to get a job" meme back in the 2010s. i got a nice internship and then fucking nothing.i still program recreationally, little useful or cool things for me, and also read programming books for the fun of it, but nothing you'd need a degree for, nor anything relevant to today's market.
>>84890125like many graduates, mainly python (i'm a data monkey graduate), web shit, java, and a little bit of C because of a game i tried to make. also some APL because it spoke to my 'tism and scheme because i'm reading the wizard book and plan to do things with it.
>>84890140Maybe learn how to fix cars?
Playing with cars sounds fun, right?
>>84890165unironically would, or paramedic, or some other job that people tend to avoid for several reasons, but everything needs some money upfront to get certs.
>>84890188You don't usually need certs to do auto repair, they just give you leverage for higher pay. You can learn most of it on YouTube.
>>84890212i'll look into it anon, thanks
>>84890140>but i fell for the "easiest way to get a job" meme back in the 2010sMany such cases. Everyone who did this should honestly get a refund because they all fell for one of the biggest scams of the 21st century. I was so close to doing it myself but being mentally ill prevented me from doing it. Curse and a blessing I guess.
>>84890756i'm from a background of fucking retards so i didn't even know what the other things that existed out there even meant. i was already doing my master's when i first talked with a proper engineer for an extended length of time and learned what it is that engineers do and how to get there.
