Most men don't know how to deal with emotions because their parents told them to just suck it up, so they just stifle them, the same way they did as children. A lot of men also enforce this by getting uncomfortable, not being emotionally available for the same reasons, and feelings being considered "gay." This is what toxic masculinity actually is, if it's real. Took me forever to find friends who I could be so open with. Generally, women are more used to dealing with emotions; although, some are still terrible at dealing with them, of course (can be similar to the type of guy I described above). Wish this was more common thinking.
