Have you ever dealt with this on a personal level? What's some of the craziest cope you've ever seen or heard? Bonus points for online drama because these people often don't know each other intimately.

I'm friends with a lifelong Republican politics operative who lost his mind when Trump said Mexicans were rapists and murderers and has dedicated his entire existence to ensuring that every living organism is allowed to vote in our elections. He moved into a condo and spent the first 72 hours texting me about the Muslim neighbors who live behind him and how they cut a hole in their shared fence and a religious statue he found in the bushes on his property was stolen the next day after he put it out on display. He also texted me on Halloween to tell me that "kids" stole the candy he had out on a table outside while his back was turned for a moment.

What's a politics operative?
>>
>>85903115
Worked on campaigns. He was also a pro lifer until Trump actually did what they've been begging for for 50 years and then immediately pivoted to "akshually pro life means infinity welfare forever." Now he works for some NGO that I guess budgeted their USAID money better than others.

Why does this story sound familiar?

>Have you ever dealt with this on a personal level?
Every day of my life with my family and coworkers and everyone on this damn website that are so hostile and aggressive, but can not take a second lick of it back in return.

Every day.

I've never dealt with this IRL other than the occasional sperg out. What do the people online do to you?
>>
>>85903197
Because all Republican campaign workers are like this. It's why they lose elections after fixing everything they were elected to fix. There's nothing more for their voters to be afraid of, and they don't know what to do next.
>>
>>85903232
ngl this sounds like cope
>>
>>85903244
Cope about what? The stock market just had its worst day in 6 years, because Democrats won. Worse than when the Iran "war" started. Worse than Liberation Day. You can't actually make the case for them being the better option.
>>
>>85903254
You're were saying republicans never win elections fairly. That's legit cope no matter what party you're talking about.
>>
>>85903264
Can you quote that post because I don't remember saying or looking like that?

>What do the people online do to you?
Just last night I wrote a post, 5 lines of typing, got two anons telling TLDRing me (I saw it when I woke up, thread was archived).

Got mad.
Tired of the lazy illiteracy here.
Made a thread on /pol/ on how people on 4chan can't read or have become too dishonest/trolling over it...But I round that about to call them illiterate niggers that can't handle 3 sentences.

Of course they get uppidity and anons are telling me the canned lines of
>You stupid pseudo intellectual can't sum up your point in a few sentences
3 sentences.
3.

That's too much.
We can't shorten/dumb things down for these illiterates anymore. I'm tired of dealing with it. They've wasted everyone's times for years. I try to barely use 4chan now.

And on topic -- it's a fragile ego thing.
They think they're snarky and hurting you by TLDRing your 2-3 sentence post -- but call them an illiterate nigger and damn do their feelings get hurt. They'll definitely read insults! But not posts containing anything else.

>tl;dr boomers mad
That's just real life now. Everyone talks past each other, because they already know what they want to say and by God they're going to get it out.
>>
>>85903270
>It's why they lose elections after fixing everything they were elected to fix. There's nothing more for their voters to be afraid of, and they don't know what to do next.
Idk this while using the term 'operative' makes it sound like they were doing stuff behind the scenes.
>>
>>85903293
What do you think "behind the scenes" even means? It's not like he ever flew to Alaska to look through a phonebook for people with the same name as the incumbent to pay them to appear on the ballot with the same name.
Democrats won the election because they tricked TikTok and Instagram Reels addicts into thinking that gas has never been more expensive despite it being more expensive under both Biden and Obama. They also convinced them that data centers are just giant pots to boil ocean water. If you want me to be less of a partisan hack, you can also win elections by saying "they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats." Except that one actually had some anecdotal evidence behind it.
>>
>>85903272
That's just 4chan bro. Half the time when you read a long post it ends up being some schizo rant or something incomprehensible.

>>85903311
Wait a second. I was reading these posts between sets. I understand the sarcasm, but isn't that typical American politics? Democrats gaining majority was a certainty. It's cyclical at this point. People just vote for the other person when things suck.
>>
>>85903366
Oops, didn't mean to trip there, switching devices too much.
>>
>>85903366
None of this is really sarcastic. All of it happened. I may be writing for dramatic effect but the Alaska thing actually did happen. The victim might end up winning anyways because they have ranked choice voting and the cheater didn't win by enough to avoid a second round and the real guy is going to get the fake guy's votes.
>Democrats gaining majority was a certainty.
Yes which is why none of this really matters. But if you had something like Trump and Chuck Schumer coming out tomorrow to announce that having elections is a waste of time and money and we're just going to adopt a schedule where the Republicans get to be president for 4 years at a time but only control Congress for 2 before it flips and then the Democrats get to be president for 4 years but only control Congress for 2 before they lose it and it just goes on like this forever, everyone would say that's the most retarded thing they've ever seen. And yet that's what we do now, because no one has an attention span longer than 2 years.
Except now what they've done is given enough states to the Democrats that they can enact the popular vote compact and remain in power forever. Which is exciting because at least we don't have to care about anything anymore. It'll just get worse forever now, instead of being able to oscillate every 2 years.

Exactly, the talking over/interrupting in real life is the same thing. I literally can't communicate with humans.
I have a speech impediment that's been getting progressively worse...
I got good at typing and writing to communicate in a different matter.
4chan was a good place for me to communicate because it was all writing, no video, none of that...

But now I can't communicate in real life.
AND
I can't communicate online.

I'm just patently ignored the species and society I'm expected to contribute to and hold up.
>>
>>85903403
I hope you're wrong about the last part, but it wouldn't surprise me. It hasn't been stellar with Republicans either from my experience.

>>85903477
How old are you? I'll VC with you sometime if you'd like.
