Each piece of art is produced by some human or system. If the people are being retards and using unreasonable, impossible, and hypocritical standards (such as the need for artificial intelligence to be completely hidden), then there's no point in arguing with them or debating things unless it's known ahead of time that they can be convinced. The use of "convincing technology" is absolutely necessary (during this time of history on Earth) to ensure survival of anyone at all.
If each artwork is produced by a human, then its hypothetically possible to trace everything... humans frequently ignore their own productions or works while criticizing others. If people are lazy and inconsistent then survival becomes dependent upon statistics and guessing.
