easter is kind of a nothingburger holiday. like, its there, people treat it like its a major holiday like christmas or something, but nobody really does anything for it

Well inside the Church, Easter is more celebrated than Christmas. They are actually very busy this time of year. But you're probably referring to the commercial side, which case, I agree, little can compare to Christmas, but Easter is commercialised, and people do things during it.
Most notably are the mass produced chocolate eggs which many big brands such as nestle get in on. There are also typical decorations such as ribbons and bonnets. In England, Easter always occurs during school half term, and also comes with a bank holiday weekend, meaning an extra long weekend for families to take outings. There are also many events that go on, such as Easter egg hunts, painting eggs, and making cornflake buns with those little chicks in them.

I'm sure there are many Easter songs too, even if they are just Christian hymns, so that is why I made this thread
