I personally think the idol culture pressure is a bit excessive when it comes to vtubing, like sure maybe the idol culture stance would fit if they were purely singers and stage performers like their pioneers, but expecting that from someone who streams, plays games and just shows their humanity in various ways, policing that part of humanity seems rather dehumanizing and draining for a soul who wants to be a true friend to their fans, and to the fans who want to be seen as friends than numbers in the viewcount
