Okay so we need to have more kids in order to stop importing brown immigrants to save the Aryan race, however, we're also making people unemployed thanks to AI plus having a family is becoming a luxury and also women also only want to be with chad but Chad has too many options and can't or doesn't want to decide to settle with a bitch...
Where are we heading towards?

the goonpocalypse

It isn't about a lack of a workforce, it's about immigrants willing to get paid less and be treated as slave adjacent labor.
At least this is what I thought, but it turns out the US has a natural rate of unemployment of 4.3%, and the current rate of unemployment is 4.3%.
This means that the US economy is at close to maximum capacity job-wise.
Or in other words, without immigrants, overall economic activity will decrease due to lack of labor. Which will reduce supply and raise prices, it will also decrease the standard of living.

So what do we do?

The numbers and theory don't lie.
The people collecting and computing the numbers are a different story.

Yeah I didn't say anything against that, you damn smartypants, stop talking as if you're correcting me
>>
>>12929626
Hope the transition to an AI society isn't as tumultuous as we think it will be.

i wish we were true capitalist piges who allowed BYD & Huawei to enter the market. i think this all stems from not having a freer economy but also i just made this whole thing up in my head so trust it with all your heart

Your fortune: Outlook good

>Okay so we need to have more kids in order to stop importing brown immigrants
Workforce shortages are the main reason for government encouraging increased immigration.
>>
>>12929633
On the one hand, you're right. More competition will result in lower prices.
On the other hand, they might push domestic companies out of the market.

You're still a smartypants
>>
>>12929647
What?
>>
>>12929653
You implied citizens having more kids will stop the government from encouraging immigration.
>>
>>12929655
the average price for a new car in the US hit 50k this year

Your fortune: Better not tell you now
>>
>>12929656
I wasn't. There are multiple reasons why our overlords want us to have more kids. You are right too.
>>
>>12929658
Buying a moderately used car is way better anyway
>>
>>12929666
>we need to have more kids in order to stop importing brown immigrants
???
>>
>>12929671
Yes, by having more kids, we'll have a bigger available workforce who hopefully won't work under slavish conditions which erases the need to import brown immigrants. However, this only works if corporations play along too.
>>
>>12929674
Labor conditions are dictated by government regulation and supply and demand for labor. Why would anyone improve labor conditions when you can just import more immigrants and inflate labor supply.
>>
>>12929676
Because it's bad
>>
>>12929687
Any competitive business acts to maximize profits, which is fine, since it also maximizes efficiency.
It is up to the populace, through government, to regulate what is socially optimal.
>>
>>12929689
The government... Relying on them for anything... We're so fucked, aren't we
>>
>>12929691
Yup.
The question is whether the government enacts wide scale changes before mass automation degrades the welfare of the populace to the point where it forces their hand.
>>
>>12929692
Yeah... But I think the bread and circus have gotten way too good, no one does anything except the raging feminists on the streets
