A friend and I are developing an animated series, and we’re trying to figure out what story we should tell. I’d like to hear your opinions on which version of the story would be best:

Story version 1:
This version begins in the 1980s or 1990s, with Charly and his friends playing somewhere in Sans Hill (where they live), until they stumble upon a strange place where they find a mysterious amulet.
Out of curiosity, they take it home to try to figure out what it is. Thanks to an old book, they discover that it is an amulet that will grant them a single wish, but this wish will have a consequence. Charly and Alonso want to use it, but Nat simply won’t let them because she fears the book’s warning is real.
Meanwhile, the antagonist, Bexter, has been searching for this very amulet, but has never managed to find it—until today, when they locate the amulet at Charly’s house, and that’s where Bexter heads.
When Bexter encounters Charly and his friends, they resist because Bexter wants to steal the amulet. So Charly and his friends decide to try to fight him with their bare hands, which results in their defeat.
Then Bexter takes the amulet and, in that very moment, decides to make his wish:
His wish was to turn the entire universe into one of his video games, since he had always believed that a perfect universe is one he could control and manipulate at will, causing the universe to immediately begin transforming before Charly’s eyes while Bexter mocks him.


Story version 2:
In this version, Charly and his friends buy a new game console in a strange place. Before selling it to them, the salesman warns them that the console has unimaginable power, but Charly and his friends ignore him and buy it anyway.

What happens next is that when they arrive at Charly’s house and turn on the console, it sucks Charly and his friends in, transporting them to the video game world inside the console.
