Can you guys be serious for one sec and tell me your opinion, what would be more impressive for a single man to do:

Creating a time machine, or creating an artificial super intelligence that makes human intellect look like that of a chimp, having the strong probability to invent time travel by itself?

Time travel, since it is impossible.
Super intelligence, on the other hand, is harder to grasp. We have a hard time thinking about how a mode of cognition superior to our own would think/behave, making it very difficult to write in a satisfactory manner.
There is also the issue of AI being self improving, somewhat reducing the sense of achievement.
In summation, I believe a time machine is more impressive.

It's a tough one, but as far as the achievement of having the most affect on humanity, I would say the ASI. A time machine would make you the most famous inventor in history. The ASI would make you arguably the last human inventor in history.
