"who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?"
this is one of the biggest lies in music history. the cookie jar is there specifically for people to take cookies as they please. you make a bunch of cookies, you stuff the jar full of them, and you put it on the counter for everybody to access at any time. you don't have to ask to have a cookie. I wouldn't expect YOU, anon, to understand the complexities of my thinking here.

Your fortune: Good Luck
>>
you are burdened by the knowledge
>>
Someone who takes more than their fair share of cookies from the cookie jar is stealing.

no politics, please
>>
the neurotypical world is filled with such traps designed to sustain a constant level of anxiety
"the cookies are there for everyone. why won't you take one? are you too good for my cookies?"
"you stole a cookie from my cookie jar? without asking? how dare you"
there is no winning move, the purpose of the cookie jar is to inflict stress and guilt

Your fortune: Outlook good

What if you are in a shared public space and you leave out your cookie jar specifically for the people you know and have a note explaining it is for those people and someone still takes cookies from the cookie jar if they aren't the people you intended them for?
>>

what kind of shared space would this be outside of a home setting? cookie jars are typically in family homes. not offices or public parks. if you have a guest over it's understood that the guest also has access to the cookies, and they don't have to ask but it's polite. I'm basically a social etiquette genius that I understand this.

At work this happens often.
Treat thieves.

anon we are losing focus and you are trying to find forks in a road that isn't even paved
>>
>>13019553
you could just ASK for a cookie
>>
>>13019817
that is too humiliating a ritual
>>
the logical new world way would be to keep the cookie jar in the fridge and reheat the cookies accordingly

all for the sake of preserving freshness obviously
>>
>>13019826
this is true
in fact it's interesting
putting something in the fridge ads a psychological layer of scarcity and ownership that it otherwise wouldn't have on a kitchen counter
I will have to retire to my study and ruminate on this

hmm, if I were to eat cookies, I’d want them to be as tasty as possible considering I’m at an age where I can’t be eating a lot of sugar…
If I made said cookies and knew how much ingredients and effort were put into them, why would I just let them rot on the counter?
The only thing I ever leave on the counter anyways are avocados and bananas that need to ripe, then goes in the fridge and freezer accordingly.
Only lemons, garlic and onions are able to withstand room temperature storage.

And the only shelf stable cookie that is worth eating were Oreos, but they dont taste the same anymore…
It’s kind of like how bread doesn’t really get moldy anymore
>>
>>13019817
you dont have to ask, why do you think i put them there? the cookies are right there anyone can take them. why do you have to be so weird about everything?
>>
for the sake of conversation, you don’t ruminate over cookies in a cookie jar, you ponder over it

Ruminate implies a state of distress or worry or rage, something which a cookie should quell
