Excuse me, but why are math textbooks so expensive!?!? It's like 50$ a piece for these things. Jfc bros. And before you say "pirate them online", what if I want a hard copy to read? It's so much money.
>>
$50 is literally nothing.
>>
>>16166677
But then there are taxes, and the fact that I'm going to have to buy several math textbooks over the course of my learning. This is robber, anon.
>>
>>16166678
Just use libgen, dummy.
>>
>>16166679
I already said I want a physical book to hold. But yes, I will probably just use libgen unfortuntaely. I may also go to a public library, but the books in there are gross and there's tons of homeless people and poc in there ...
>>
>>16166675
buy used, less expensive books. no ones forcing you to pay $100 for baby rudin. the best math textbook ive ever read was like $8 at a half price books. i think i bought stewart calculus for like $12 shipped from thrift books.
>>
>>16166683
in my experience, half priced books sells books for way more than "half price" but I'll have to check out thrift books, thanks anon
>>
>>16166675
Why even try? Some third worlder who never had to pay for books, and got a college degree for free, will take your job. Simple as.
>>
>>16166690
thats not the reason im studying math, so its irrelevant to me

>>
>>16166683
Those are all out of date though
>>
>>16166737
very funny, retard
>>
>>16166737
Out of date? What kind of math are you trying to learn that's new enough that you're worried about it being out of date?
>>
>>16166695
Do you have to order from a local store?
>>
>>16166747
thats a thriftbooks order, not half price books. im not sure thriftbooks has any physical locations. although i know for a fact you can walk into a half price and ask them to ship books from another store to there. i should remember that next time im on the hunt for griffiths quantum.
>>
>>16166675
because the publishers are all jewish
>>
>$50
>$100
That’s literally nothing. Some of my law school textbooks would regularly run $500 each and I’d usually need 4 or 5 per semester. You could get used, and I often would, but they’re still expensive.

Annas archive, thank me later

This, college children are a captive market and they all have daddy to pay all their bills for them so the publishers know then can charge exorbitant prices for textbooks and without negatively impacting their sales.
>>
>>16168059
Good think your dad had enough money to pay for all that, don't forget to thank him
>>
>>16168062
Excellent, do you have the lossless version?
>>
>>16168073
I actually don’t have a dad, but thanks bro
>>
>>16168075
No I got it from here sadly
>>
>>16168059
50$ adds up, just because you got ripped off at law school doesn't mean 50$ is nothing
>>
If you're female just ask your simps on onlyfans to buy the books for you.
>>
bam, back from the brink baby
>>
>>16166683

>>
>>16169333

>>

printing stuff is expensive
>>

>50$ a piece
Are you attending college in a third world country? American textbooks are hundreds of dollars each. $50 for a textbook is entirely reasonable.

Print it out at the library. You want it in hardcover? Buy a couple pieces of wood and learn how to bind books.

>>
>>16166675
50 isn't a lot for a whole textbook anon. Usually they're around 80-120.
>>
>>16166677
