I think from the start Devin decided he wanted to be more aggressive against Ryan. But I think the real issue I haven't seen talked about, is that Devin has trouble against fighters with speed. He can disarm fighters like prograis, and Kambosos and even match someone like Loma, but against fighters with true handspeed like Linares and Ryan he is just not fast enough to react. His timing isn't good enough, his flaws a little too exploitable.

You also want to stay loose as your throwing and then tighten your muscles right as you punch, so don't stiffen up too early.
