Today is the birthday of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar
The GOAT batsman cricket has ever seen

Many here complain that there arent good indian threads so here is one
Sachin was to batting what Messi's dribbles were to football, what Ronaldinho's skills were, what the chess of Tal was, and how Ali was to Boxing
Sachin just did not bat. He did not just play cricket.
He did art.
Sachin used heavier bats yet he swung them effortlessly. Sachin's technique was perfect. He did it effortlessly. To watch Sachin play was like watching a ballerina in action, his swings were like the jumps in ballet or the madras in bharatnatyam

He did what no one could. He did things with that bat that was unimaginable. He set the standards for perfection in cricket
And he did this in an era with red balls, no drs, faulty umpire decisions, less restrictions on bowlers, and much glorious bowling age. He made batting great in the era of bowlers
He faced Shoaib Akhtar, Brett Lee, Shane Warne, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, Muttiah Muralidharan, Malinga and he triumphed over the generations of some of the greatest bowlers to exist.
He invented the upper cut and did it with so much grace and elegance

There will never be another sachin. No records, no titles , etc will ever make one a Sachin. No one will be ever as grateful, polite and soft-spoken as Tendulkar
The parallels between Messi and Sachin are very intriguing, soft spoken polite no 10s, known for being manlets, from countries mad about those sports, donning blue jerseys, losing a world cup final while being the best player, and winning it all 8 years later

Happy birthday to the batsman who was the greatest to ever do it, and did it the most beautifully
>>
That sounds based.
Happy birthday to the man.

This was probably the peak of Sachin
It was thought impossible to go for boundaries on level shots like these.
If you swung the bat you would get caught out

The Australians were bowling such balls and you are supposed to leave these balls in traditional cricket training

Only sachin could have done something like this on the spot
He came up with this on the spot

You know you did well when even the opposition smiles and appreciates
Pure art

>>
Don Bradman is the GOAT
>>
>>140333727
He played a completely different sport than that of Sachin. Viv Richards has more claims to GOAT title
>>
>>140331551
Sachin's another speciality was his deep respect for the game and how he held it above everything.
His borderline religious like devotion to cricket is attributed to by teammates and rivals alike
>>
>>140331551
But can he hit a breaking ball?
>>
sir donald bradman is the goat unfortunatley. please do not redeem this manlet, printesh. bloody basterd blaady

Bradman played a different sport
Sachin is the undisputed goat of cricket batting. No amount of whining will change that

>undisputed
Well it's not 'undisputed' if people are disputing it right here in this very thread. 99.94 lad

Was always impressed by how serene Sachin was. With other greats like Lara, Ponting, or Smith & Kohli recently, you could see them straining when they were out of form, trying to get the magic working again, scratching around for technique. Sachin could be in the middle of a dreadful run but you'd never tell by watching him. Cold as ice

Against farmers.

His mentality was his greatest gift. And he did that despite always being extremely careful with his public image. Virat does not lace his shoes

Only sachin could have done this >>140331657 against Brett Lee
>>
>>140340604
>farmers
This is cope and you know it.
Bedser, Laker, Verity, Larwood, Tate etc weren't farmers. He still averages 89 against England which nobody has ever come close too
>>
>>
tendulker was a hack and im glad he killed himself after it was leaked he was a boy lover
>>
how do you know if a cricket player is good or bad? like what are the main stats etc
>>
>>140348702
if he's white he's good
if he's brown, he's not good
>>
>>140348735
might start watching it then
>>
>>140345483
>anime

If he can do stuff like this >>140331879
>>
Sachin's ability to decode bowlers was fantastic. He somehow always managed to find the "trick" to strange action bowlers like Muralidharan, Malinga etc etc
>>
>>140331551
I stopped watching cricket after he retired. Absolutely kino career, I knew cricket was over after it ended. I've been right so far.
>>
Would it be fair to say that being a 5'5 manlet benefited Tendulkar MASSIVELY throughout his cricket career?
>>
>>140354431
whenever a manlet succeeds it's because of his height?
could it not be the skill he acquired over the thousands of hours of work he put in?
if it's because of his height why couldn't other manlets do it?
>>
>>140354431
Always an advantage to the batting partnership if they have a big height difference between them. The bowlers have to keep adjusting their lines.
Sachin would have batted a lot with Azharuddin (5'10) Dravid (5'11) Laxman (6'1) Ganguly (5'11) so a bit of help there. But it was 99% his talent.
>>
>>140354229
It was beautiful, and I am glad I could witness some of it.
Pure cricketing kino
>>
>>140348030
when was this?
>>
>>140331551
Gigantic fucking meme, just like Lara.
Dravid was better.
