https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_soccer#Rules>College soccer is played with a clock that can be stopped when signaled to by the referee for injuries, the issuing of cards, or when the referee believes a team is wasting time.>The clock is also stopped after goals until play is restarted, and the clock generally counts down from 45:00 to 0:00 in each half.
>>151011165Yeah but how are they supposed to rig a 90+8 (p)? That’s the whole point of soccer at the highest levels
I still dont know why this is considered a bad change to soccer. Bongs bitch and moan about fergie time and 'until we score' but NOOOOO MUH INTEGRITY OF THE GAME, THE REFS ARENT RIGGING IT IT WORKS JUST FINE
I agree with this rule, it makes more sense than adding 7 (which are not really 7, but AT LEAST 7) more minutes at the end of normal time. Tho the clock counting down looks gay as fuck.
>>151012505>>151013745I will admit that I wish we did this one like the Americans. It pains me because I want to be tribalistic of course but we should just stop the clock
>>151011165arsene wenger who is in charge of future football at fifa, is trialing a similar thing. although his version is a clock which stops and counts up.
>>151011165>wasting EVEN MORE of my private timeFuck off!The only way this would make sense is if the halves lasted, like, 35 minutes tops. Or better yet, the ref would shorten the game time for timewasting rather than adding extra at the end of it.Otherwise, FUCK OFF!
>>151014301>Or better yet, the ref would shorten the game time for timewasting rather than adding extra at the end of it.In case of normal ruling, that is.Whatever.
you just have two clocks, one like this and the regular one with soul. then at 45 mins the ref looks at both clocks and adds the difference between the two and they play that many minutes, ie 45+6. Problem solved
>>15101116590 minutes net playing time? That sounds very demanding. I thought net playing time would lead to 2x30 gamesIn terms of just the game itself, I am in favor of stopping the clock. You can only do it for the pros, it won’t be possible in the 10th tier for example. But in the professional leagues, it is the better idea and probably worth it. It can be mostly automatic with a chip in the ball that stops the clock once the ball leaves the pitch and as soon as the ref whistles. Just let the clock count up ffs.The one problem that remains is: they will definitely try to shove ads in there. And that’s just garbage
>>151014333During these added minutes there will be again a time difference, so that has to be added on top. And again and again and again.
>>151011165Will any of the players here turn pro? Not joking when I say I think I'd be the best defender on that Wake Forest team
>>151011165Even when I was very young I always wondered why they never just stopped the clock when play stops
>>151014849no because there not illegal invaders in europe
>>151011165actually a solid idea
>>151014746>Slurpinski triangle leading to infinite extra timeFucking KEK
>>151013745Theres more to the sport than just scoring. Im sorry americans cant understand that. Time wasting and diving are integral parts of the game.
>>151014991Zeno pls
>>151015045>you have to accept these retarded aspects of the sport that prevent people from actually playing it honestlyGenuinely retarded. There’s literally nothing stopping this from being implemented at all levels, we did it in highschool. Implementing this would cut down on the rigging via extra time that big teams get constantly.
>>151014333Anon... this already is a thing. There is actual timekeeping of all downtime, the ref doesn't make the additional time out of thin air.
>>151018553>the ref doesnt make it out of thin airLol, lmao even
>>151018553>the ref doesn't make the additional time out of thin air.LmaoIIRC they only ever had proper timekeeping during the 2022 WC but low IQ morons still complained that the added time was too much.
>>151018553>+4 stoppage time>bruno fernandes 99' (p)
