Eiken shouldn't taunt or express being offended in combat so much. When Itami used weight jutsu on him, he might widen his eyes in shock or frown from being in a disadvantage and *think* words like the above, but he wouldn't say them out loud. He might say them during normal, no stakes, situations, but not in actual combat.

As for Kitsumoto, he works best as a stealth assassin, so he's pretty much slinking around waiting for a good moment to take out as many targets at once. It might've made sense for him to join up with Mojo for his trap but I didn't know if at this point Mojo was in the loop on his conspiracy with their Sensei so I Kitsumoto do his Inaba tasks in the shadows

Itami injures himself in the beginning because he's punching Eiken normally, throughout the fight he picks up Smashing Fist style which hardens his body like stone which allows him to damage him. I'll go back and try to make it more clear that he's using it but whenever there's something about "hardening his fist/leg" that's Smashing Fist. The meta reason on why Eiken got cleaved was because with his regeneration he could continue fighting indefinitely unless he sustained massive damage, as well as the Heaven Scroll being placed inside his body. He's also one of the few genin I could write getting split in two, and it felt like a good finish. In the narrative, Itami learns to combine his Swift Style with his Smashing Fist and Weight Control for massive damage, but I'll go back and make it clear that Itami needs some major attack to actually have any chance of beating Eiken

We could keep teleporting for the TV, but only if we don't swap the weapons. General weapons shouldn't have anything tied to skills, as any character can equip them. That also means that a lot of other effects of the TV, such as not counting as movement when close by, wouldn't make it in the general version. Another option would be to have the TV be a skill rather than a weapon, which would free up the general weapon slot, but one of the other skills would need to be removed. In a way, yes. It was just another route to get to her goal, as delusional as it may be. Non-canon stuff that better explores the character or possibilities is more valuable than a canon piece that barely kicks the story forward, in my opinion. The team will set up traps there as directed by Akaito and wait for a team to walk in. See Akaito's rentry for the ambush strat, but change it to fit Chosuke and Rinka in it, of course. Rinka should activate Angel Mode the moment we reveal ourselves to end the battle quickly to press on the ambush advantage. Being relatively close to the center, we can go there quickly after a successful ambush (if we successfully ambush).

You took no drawbacks, so you have quite a low amount of points to play around with, especially since the build is a sword/bow hybrid. Add on the Book Smarts 1: Etiquette that you really didn't need to take as everyone would just accept that Fujiwara has good etiquette if you just said so in his description even without buying that, your available points are really low.

As of now, the bow is practically decoration because almost everything, especially the perks, are invested in melee. You even got Rupture Slash, my god.

To make the hybrid work, as in, make the bow relevant, changing the perks (or at least just one) to things that benefit the bow more is the most important. Optional, but I highly recommend getting a few drawbacks, removing Rupture Slash, and only having 1 Advanced Weapon Style.

That's also a good idea, but essentially what I'm saying is that if you try to apply a strict, mechanical ruleset, it might just form a new meta or you might encounter some other new problem as a result of the ruleset not being perfect (a perfect ruleset isn't realistic after all).

So, instead of a mechanical solution, I was thinking the rule might be a more narrative one- essentially a disclaimer that no matter how absolute sounding a demon eye is, characters can and should have the ability to fight back against them, even without a demon eye of similar broken-ness. Like a promise that no matter how you build, your general power level won't change much. It'd be like locking us in at 3-4 star threat level. The explanation of how exactly that works can be left up to the anons playing it. Maybe those with more/stronger eyes have more unwieldy powers and lack proficiency. The goal was to narrow the power gap, so going for that directly instead of beating around the bush might be more effective, I guess?

Hmm... That'd make it so that 3 costs are truly useless. Making it based on sum would probably just make the power gap wider rather than more narrow. If you really wanted to approach it from that angle, you'd probably need to overhaul resistance from the start. Like maybe all demon eye users have a base resistance to all other demon eyes regardless of cost difference, but cost difference increases that resistance further. Could run into an issue of game-ifying things too much though? Not sure.

I've feel like I've talked a bunch about the actual build details for Ichika progressing through he ranks. What she'd be like in the future is pretty dependent on what happens before that, but it's safe to say that she'll be more comfortable going full tilt and have some form of ant-war sentiments. Her self-sacrificing will probably go beyond the physical to feeling the need to take on more responsibility/dirty herself for others.

Alternative version... Well, good or evil, the build itself wouldn't change much but her applications would (she'd become a lot more comfortable with the idea of brainwashing people then she currently is). Could maybe twist her desire to protect into a desire to control where she believes she knows what's best.

As for the future, what I like best is her managing to get a hold of her demon with the help of Yoji to live a relatively normal life, maybe even choosing to settle down with Hinako and try and help her control her urges.

While its a cute idea, I can't see Yoru staying with Yoji forever as a wife: If she learned anything from him, its that she needs to pass on what she learned.

An alternate version of Bobby might be one where his dad survived his fight with Death. Sun Man wouldn't have ended up so mythologized had he lived, and he would have been able to guide Bobby and help him feel less overwhelmed by the expectations to fill his father's shoes. Bobby would have also learned how to control his quirk a lot earlier, instead of running from it and what he felt it represented. The biggest likely difference would have been him never moving to Japan to attend Shiketsu.

Another alternate version might be one where he went down the villain/vigilante route, though things would have needed to have been really fucked for that to have happened. He wasn't on a great path before moving to Japan, but heroics is really in his DNA. If he did somehow go down that route, it might look like that run of Spider Man when he just murdered all his villains while he had the black suit. One where Bobby retained some sense of justice, but it was a warped one where he never pulled his punches.

The current dream of his. A sort of "bright timeline". Graduate Shiketsu, become a pro hero, marry Hailey, keep grinding at it. Would not become a powerhouse number #1 like the previous ones, but with possible Awakening (multilocation), he can get whole teams on site quickly, highlighting the teamwork advantage of the hero side. Hay's money would help him on the road to the spot, but due to the lacking power, I'd expect it to not be a fast promotion, probably about two decades after graduating Shiketsu, with some slumps on the way, and some other classmates possibly getting to the #1 first. With being less reliant on the personal power, he could probably hog the spot for a long time while he gets there, though.

Possibly tied to other options, but Hifumi getting blinded might have interesting interactions with his Quirk. Initially, it would disable it, but once he gets used to it, I think it could lead to him sort of removing the close/open eyes mechanic. The closed eyes originally was to enhance the process of building the mental image by cutting out the visual interference. With it permanently out, it could be an impetus to help overcome that. Not being able to see would be a big blow to him, especially considering he's a movie buff.

Darkest timeline. If a tragedy on a tier of his family and gf getting murdered by a Villain happened, he could go the vigilante/murderer road. Kill enough people, and he could learn to telefrag by blinking his sword into his targets. Still directed by some sort of code and not an indiscriminate Villain, but could also go anti-government if the source of the tragedy were the enforcers for example.

In this one, Hifumi's father definitely passed away, and the loss broke Hifumi quite a bit. His delinquency was much less wholesome and violent as a result. One day, ends up fucking with a wrong person, as in the Desolator, but it ends with the legend taking him under his wing (sort of like what happened with Junichi, and the mentorship offer he extended to Sally). Hifumi gets attached to him as a sort of father figure. Thanks to Desolator's tutelage, he would probably end up quite a terrifying assassin, especially if compared with the telefrag option in the style of Revenge Ronin, but here he doesn't necessarily go for the samurai aesthetics.
