If the story happens over a long enough timespan, make use of the fact that jumps happen in limited time and break up the events so that the time/escalation feels less claustrophobic. If there's a bajillion different fully fleshed out factions/territories, do what most TTRPGs do and split the content by region/faction so the player can have a more focused moment to moment gameplay experience. It even pays dividends later when you can then do stuff like make use of jump continuity toggles or set up other things in the jumpdoc(s) that reward the player for either visiting them in a certain order if they share a chronology or allow for ease of use like those special ending options in some LoZ jumps that let you go to the next jump in the timeline for those who might otherwise be fucked over by rollchain.If that's still not convincing enough, the jumpmaker spends less effort to get the various installments out since there's less pieces to juggle for each one, and is more likely to get feedback on the separate parts because the player doesn't have to put in as much time and effort to grok the breadth of each piece's contents.

I am doing a Philoctetes Servant build for Fate Zero.He's the guy who lit Heracles' pyre and received the Hydra Bow as reward, which he later used in the Trojan war to kill Paris and a bunch of other people.On the way to the War Odysseus fucked him over and stranded him on an Island because Phil got a divinely inflicted wound which stank a lot and annoyed the others on board.After 10 years of warfare the Greeks received a prophecy that htey will only win if they retrieve the the Bow of Heracles, so Odysseus returns to the Island, expecting to get the bow from the corpse, but instead they find the living Philoctetes who survived a decade alone with a painful wound, he's initially reluctant to join them(they at the start tried to steal the bow and leave him behind), but is convinced by Heracles who appears before him as a god and tells him to join the war and that he'll be healed by Asclepius' sons if he does. They do heal him, he does kill the guy who started the war, and joins the others in hiding in the Trojan Horse before killing several named characters.How would you represent the wound part in the sheet? Like would you go for weak constitution since for a decade he had it? Or something like Battle Continuation since he survived a decade on the island despite the wound. It might have been less time then 10 years for Shisui and the Hashirama cells probably did make it easier for Danzo to cast the weaker version, but the Hashirama cells likely don't account for a full 10 years difference in chakra cost or cooldown reduction.
