Why does Wizards usually host Pro Tours like a week or two after the corresponding set's release? It's such a short amount of time. The players haven't had too much time to really come to term with the cards yet, which could be intentional, but it also means the audience is even less familiar with the cards, and that there's a huge advantage to already established pro players with teams to grind and research with during the run up to the tournament.

I have a bit of a problem in my local game store. There's an old fart who first was introduced to me like some MTG guru. And now I know him as a sore loser who can't win unless his deck has at least five tutors and one infinite combo. He visits every card shop in the city and sometimes even in neighboring cities and buys all of the more well known and useful cards like Thran Dynamo or Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. Then he sells them to people for market price regardless of quality. Then when a homebrew power 4 deck stomps his shit he gets butthurt, or puts on a shit eating grin when people (politely) call him out on his bullshit and claims no wrong doing because he's just playing the game. I'm no Magic meta-mancer but sometimes I just want to shove his shit in. Anyone have recommendations for a player hate deck?
