For that reason she thinks getting to know Choko would be healthy for almost anyone of the Genin who's going schizo.

He rarely leaves his domain, focusing the entirety of his work on developing its food production and industry. His advisors chastise him about overlooking the military matters, but he believes that with fair deals and frequent banquets, he can keep favourable relations with his neighbours so that there'd be no need to wage war.>PlanUnfortunately, the demon lord's invasion doesn't seem the type that can be prevented with a good roast and a discount on wheat prices. And lastly, NO, I am NOT going to open a Demon Portal to the Netherworld so I can farm demons! That would be ridiculous! >>92761154Gristletooth is no mere man, but one of the earliest experiments of the demon king in creating monsters with greater intelligence. He was however far from perfect, his deformed appearance is proof enough of that. When he learned of his creator's goals, he convinced the Demon king's daughter to join him in escaping. His escape succeeded, but managed to lose him a leg. His land is known simply as Carnival, a capital of entertainment, rare and forbidden items, monsters for hire, and black magic. He reigns as the main money-man of the whole show, ruling beside unruly demoness which technically outranks him.His intentions are simple: stop the world from being destroyed fully cause humans and humanoids are way more fun than whatever the Demon Lord has planned if he wins. It goes without saying most religions do not buy this claim at all and actively seek to burn his den of sin to the ground. His prowess with magic and disorganized legions of monsters desperate to hold onto their freedom and lives keep them at bay for now, a maze of teleporters keeping infiltrators who aren't in the know out. To put it simply: the kind of people who know enough of the dark and secret arts to find Carnival are the kind who will come to like the place, probably. With the decade of preparation he has, he will spread as much word of the Dangers of the Demon Lord as possible and attempt to earn allies that can see past his origins, looks, company.

This ancient and mysterious forest is exceedingly dangerous, and while it covers a vast area, to say he truly holds domain over it is quite the stretch. Most of Wyrmwood remains uncharted or currently inaccessible due to threats that have yet to be eliminated. However, these dangers have also fostered a thriving beast taming and adventuring economy, with many aspiring heroes and researcher traveling from across the land to make names for themselves. Many sacrifices were made to establish a foothold in the area and expand the domain into the modest barony it has since become. Witches, druids, beastfolk, and local barbarian tribes have been fully integrated into the realm, and the resulting acceptance of dark magic has led to increased pressure from the church. This plus the domain being so far outside the scope of its parent nation have fostered sizeable public unrest towards the aristocracy. As a true man of the people, Nestor has been urged by the realm's citizens to push for Wyrmwood's independence, or, if need be, to lead its revolution.

Young Lampys was but one of many illegitimate sons of the old Zef Erymanthius, raised by highland clans of both Arcaad humans and non-humans he became prominent as a warrior and fair. When Knyiaz Zef was killed on campaign in the distant south along with his four legitimate children, Lampys won the later power struggle. A decade later and the lands under him have prospered. Unlike his father, the "Boar of Psophis" is an insular figure, well loved by the locals but wholly apathetic to the struggles of the Empire. Here the rot of the hereditary nobility is apparent, incompatible with the clanships, tribes, communities, and peoples of the North-East. He has focused heavily on the needs of his domain and its export capacity, allowing a dramatic rise in the quality of life. As an individual he is of wry humour and harsh honesty. Known to mingle freely with his inhuman subjects who he views as more kin to him than 'mainline' Telosi humans of the south, while being critical of the clergy and impudent 'learned' men who oft look down on periphery people. He refuses to take a wife though he has had several children, many of whom are only half human.
>>92763502> PlanDemon King? Yea, just like the last Beastman Horde that swept in from the South East led by a 'god.' Isolated in the North East on a dry plateau, Lampys is going to be strategic in his approach and shore up defences. If it isn't trouble tracing in from the North and East, it would come from the South and West. In the form of impudent adventurers and "godly" men. Either way we'll always be ready for some sort of trouble, as we maintain a constant state of alertness, foster a sense of local identity, and work with the people. No doubt the enemy will be bested. But after? Perhaps these lands will be free from the southern yoke again. Perhaps we have to put up with them again. Beyond that? Lampys will probably invest in his book collection, probably keep rawing goblins and dwarves. Maybe pick up Falconry if time allows it.> On Psophis & the Arcaadji HighlandsProtected by old mountains, hard weather, and natural dryness, the Arcaadji Highlands are a natural endpoint for Telosi expansion with Tundra to the North and Steppes to the east. Just about any kind of non-human can be found in the complicated and dispersed populations present up in the hills here. There are only a handful of villages and only one real town, Psophis. The current Telosi town boasts the only real population of 'civilized' people, and thanks to the town's high walls the majority of the highlanders can tolerate them for the benefits they bring. While skirmishes and scuffles are frequent there is a stable peace in the region as the Knyiaz's justice and common law sort out most issues. In the worst case scenario tribes and clans will simply move, as if nothing else, the Highlands are vast. All in all a pretty basic frontier noble. I'll do a retrospective on everyone else next thread I think because I like his perspective.
>>92763502>KnyiazIsn't that a higher rank title that'd require a boon?
>>92763524Eh, there have been a lot of variations of the kŭnędzĭ position from full on kings to tribal chiefs. >>92755891That's an interesting view on her. Ironically, I think it's because of the weakness and cowardice she dislikes about herself that's kept Choko pretty normal as a person. She was kept away from the front lines during the war and never felt desperate enough for power to do anything drastic for it. When she was being dropped by her old Jonin sensei, she was thinking of quitting being a shinobi all together instead of doing something like searching out dangerous power boost merchants. Rio just managed to swoop in at the right time to make her want to join and try again. And since we're talking about relationship charts, I did some more thinking about how Choko feels about some of the others, and I feel like Sen (old Sen anyway, Choko hasn't gotten to see how Sen has changed yet) is one of those people she's envious of. She's envious of a lot of people, but Sen is a big one because of their shared age and place of birth. In her head, Sen is a pretty poor fighter, but made up for it in spades with what she does have, something Choko believes that she herself has failed spectacularly at. If it weren't for the Incident™, Choko fully believes that Sen would have made Chunin a long time ago. And now Sen's learning under Tsugumi, one of the most famous people in Shimo. Choko thinks she's springing back from the Incident™ and coming to the Chunin Exams stronger than ever (haha). Then she compares that perceived strength of will and determination to herself and makes herself feel bad again because that's what she does. She doesn't really think about how similar they are, and focuses a lot on their differences and where she thinks Sen is much better than her. It's why she thinks Sen is one of the most dangerous Genin here. Needless to say, Choko's perception of her would be shattered if they did meet and talk and all that, but not in the way Sen expects.
>>92754737When Choko was still in the academy, her mother got her a book for her birthday, The Mystical Tales of the North Wind Ninja. A pretty generic action adventure story about a kunoichi doing stuff like fighting off beasts and rescuing the daimyo. A mary sue who always had a trick up her sleeve, was constantly several moves ahead of her opponents, and used pretty much every kind of weapon, including a bow. Choko latched onto it and got so into it that she tried acting more like the main character of the book. She would even quote some lines to be "cool". Of course, this is Shimogakure, where kids work out at the library. Other kids found out who she was emulating pretty quickly and she was teased relentlessly for it. She cut that shit out pretty much immediately. It's one of those embarrassing moments she still cringes about when she remembers it and forces it's way to her mind when she's having trouble sleeping.

I have a question for the lord cyoaWould this 'empire' we're in have an 'Elector' position? Thinking of making an political lord.
>>92764734It would make sense. Lord Electors are a staple of any electoral monarchy and there are a lot of options there.
>>92764755The issue, of course, is that Elector wasn't an proper title, you still had something like Margrave or Count or Earl.
>>92764777Of course, that's a fun add-on. Looking at the Holy Roman Empire that shit turned into musical chairs as Dukes, Counts, the King of Bohemia and bickering Archbishops quibbled over the electorate in the 1600s. We just have more options.
>>92764798I'm thinking of what title to get my guy. He's supposed to be an political bigshot who owns an artery city in the heartlands.
It's going to be so funny when the guy who doesn't even want to run this arena has to contend with the two dudes pissed that the build dumpers aren't responding. For about six hours and then it will be annoying.
>>92764807An argument could be made for anything aside an Adventurer Lord. Political and Land lords are the most traditional options and probably the most likely considering IRL electoral history. Militant could be taken if you want the commendation of Arch-Marshel and play it as a deliberate militarization to seek the office. Merchant Lord could also be taken if you want to try to outright buy an office, while Scholar Lord opens up the door to an officer that didn't exist IRL but could in this setting.I suppose it depends on what you want to do with it. >>92765004Everyone has End-Times circa >>92759577 while other drawbacks are limited to your domain.
>>92765008Limited? But then what about shit like great crusade? If one person has it, that means everyone has it, no?
>>92765016Probably not if the thirty years war is anything to go by. Someone is about to go have the radical opinion that the church could do with some changes (but also the lords definitely deserve their position pls don't throw me to the pope) and we're gonna have a significantly reduced population over that shit.

On top of that, the supply of rare magical materials from both the Megadungeon and the Mystic Mine means that the Magitech Forges rarely need to pay a fortune just to build their own equipment. Nonetheless, Amalia is often interested in any knowledge or material that can improve her city, willing to trade in enchanted wonders to make it happen. She rarely leaves the city without her head maid.>PlanAware that the Demon Lord is on the rise, she has multiple shifts of workers in the forges to create devices of war while having her scholars comb the archives for any scrap of information that could help any defenders. >>92766514Honestly I'd rather theatre of the mind it for right now and possibly adopt a map later.Doing it at this stage just makes the world a lot smaller. >>92757074How about this for rules:>Taking up to End Times gets you 10 points>The rest of the drawbacks can be bought too at the same 2/3/5 rate, but they will count directly against your public order rolls.>To be the Emperor you can take Title Upgrade twice.>Declare whether your noble is in the North, East, South, West, or Central.>North and East have hostile neighbors>South has piracy issues>West has an angry volcano>Central is stable but you have a lot less autonomy from the Emperor>You have 10 years to make alliances, prepare, draw plans, research try to find Abaddon >Abaddon will strike from an unknown quarter. Historical research may provide clues onto where he'll hit.And a rule I think will be objectionable as Hell.>Hero retinue will contribute to the win timer, this contribution will persist even if your character is killed, but it'll provide you with no personal bonuses.
>>92767450>The rest of the drawbacks can be bought too at the same 2/3/5 rate, but they will count directly against your public order rolls. No need to overcomplicate things. If people don't want it, just don't change it. The End Times bonus should stay, though, since it's forced.
>>92757074I was going to make a member of the royal family and wanted to check in. Has anyone stated anywhere what the name of the empire is? Or is there anyone else that intended on making a royal and cares what the name is?Mostly relevant since as a royal I planned on her last name being the name of the empire and I don't want to contradict anyone.
>>92767480>her last name being the name of the empire That doesn't make sense for an empire with elector counts.
>>92767480>The Continent is currently dominated by the Empire of Teloria. https://rentry.org/ifhw2ni2
>>92767490I must have missed that. Is that in the CYOA or something we decided after the fact?>>92767492Thanks anon.
>>92767490The Empire could be going through a Hapsburg phase, where, yeah, you vote, but... you don't get a choice.
>>92767490Could be semi-hereditary like the Habsburgs, but since it appears things are getting unstable, all bets are off.
>>92767510We decided it, I think>>92767512>>92767522Yeah but the habsurgs didn't call their empire the Habsurg Empire.
>>92767533They did, just not on maps.
>>92767510>>92767533>We decided it, I thinkYeah, the thread did.>Yeah but the habsurgs didn't call their empire the Habsurg Empire. You're right and you're wrong. Simultaneously. Schrodinger's Correctness.
>>92767536No, they didn't, because there were so many of them they'd sometimes be at war against each other.
>>92767480Probably best to not have her surname be Teloria then.
>>92767552Name her Hapsburg
>>92767512>>92767522nta, but that'd work for me. My character basically wants nothing to do with the crown and broke away to form her own city state.>>92767533>>92767544I guess the main point is if being a former princess with the last name Teloria is going to cause any problems or not. I can always just come up with a different name or something, but since I'm going Title Upgrade and Autonomy Upgrade I figured I'd go all the way, you know?>>92767552Gotcha. I'll think of something else then. Putting the name "Teloria" aside, do we at least still have an actual royal family? It's not quite the same feeling to be an eccentric duchess VS and eccentric princess.
>>92767572>Gotcha. I'll think of something else then. Putting the name "Teloria" aside, do we at least still have an actual royal family? I don't think so, the rule for making a royal was just established.
>>92767572Perhaps not an actual royal family but a family that nevertheless stands head and shoulders above the rest in terms of prestige, wealth, etc. like the Habsburgs. They might even have a distinctive look.
>>92767590I think it's not an issue to have a royal family as long as you take title upgrade and autonomy. It seems more interesting, anyway.
>>92757074What's the latest time to join this? I won't be able to actually dedicate any time to making my build until Monday.
>>92767582Thankfully I'm going for a former princess rather than a current emperor, so I don't need to scrounge up 10 more points.>>92767590I'll take it. Just gotta think of a fancy sounding surname that isn't Teloria.
Hogs, ignore the flimsy fencing. This wallow is for you!>>92767623
>>92767655Oh. Neat. Guess I'll go post all the other CYOAs then.
>>92767661Which do you want to do? I can do some?
>>92767670Sure... Uhh... Seinaru is 8, DE is 4, MHA is 10, and Naruto is 2. I was just about to post Seinaru, so how about I do that and DE and you handle Nart and MHA? Should be an even split.
>>92767687Sounds good.
>>92767642We were still fucking talking you sperg. Page 9 is a minimum not a fucking deadline.
>>92767703Are you gonna complain about page 9 every single thread?
>>92767707I'm not the anon who usually complains. Being a passive aggressive cunt will get you bitched at. Grow a pair.
>>92767720Being an agressive cunt will get you bitched at. Go back to /cyoag/.
>>92767758>will get you bitched atUnsurprising, bitching's all you do.
Hmm... Would anyone take offense if I just ripped of Code Geass and had the royal family named Britannia? Alternatively I'm open to suggestions if any history buffs know some cool royal family last names that'd be appropriate.
>>92767779It's your character bro.
>>92767779Just try to think of something that feels like it fits. For example, for Vicaro, I remembered the city from Sir Brante, Anisotte, and then changed it to Margiotte.
>>92767779I will call you an uncreative bum but I'm not participating in this so do whatever
>>92767692Your turn anon.
>>92767786>>92767796Fair on both accounts. I mostly just didn't want to shaft any future royal family members with a weird name.>>92767787Thanks anon. Maybe I can try that avenue for ideas.
>>92767771Nah, I only bitch when faggots bitch. Y'know, whenever you show up.
>>92767903You took 20 minutes to come up with that? You should've just shut up.
>>92767923It took 20 minutes for me to come back to this thread because I needed a laugh, lowlife.
I think it's a bit silly to threadslave games that didn't get an update in the previous thread.
>>92767623>>92767623>>92767623Hogs! Roll into the next argument.
Such sleepy secret hours. Eternal Love and Holding alliance friends, it's been a while and we've got new mps so I'll recycle an old question:It's your characters turn to plan a date with their beloved! Where do you go and what's the plan? What do you feel planning and going into it? Do you have anything you hope to accomplish or that you hope to convey to them? If your character doesn't have a ship, then feel free to either discuss as if they had one or to just think of it like a 'what if' question that was posed to them as they currently are.
>>92769003Would it kill you to take a break from this shit for a week
