>eurofaggots need a safespaceWhat's a matter, too much interaction for you?
i ranked the games in the bgg top 20, scale of 1-10, and the total was only 129, meaning an average score of 6.45the highest was brass lancashire at 9, the lowest was a tie between scythe and terraforming mars, both a 4doesn't seem like a great top 20 to me
>>93248471It's just a popularity ranking
>>93248471/bgg/ has been taken over by Kickstarters who realized gaming the system (making their pay piggies score them high for kickbacks) is the easiest way to generate marketing. Pay it no mind.
>>93248425This is for board games, not outdated autism sims.
>>93248425kek
>>93248328TQ: I recently got to play Diamant/Incan Hold for the first time and it was a huge hit. I'm not a huge fan of push your luck in general but the way it's structured, sometimes backing out is more risky than staying in and tough to make a call when that is happening. Nothing is more fun than seeing almost all players back out and get very little treasure as a result, then the one player who stays gets lucky and hits it big only to get greedy, die on the next card and lose it all. It's an emotional rollercoaster and a blast with a right group.
>>93248870>i get to define what a board game isop is delusional and demands a hug box we are not your hug box
non shit flinging thread this way >>93248509>>93248509>>93248509

>>93248990>shooyou and what army?Anons are still gonna talk about gmt stuff here, you can soil yourself all you want and ruin your own thread over it, both will exist and /bgg/ will still rec them, review them, session report themwhy are slavs so stubborn and stupid to know when theyve lost?
>>93248471>doesn't seem like a great top 20 to meWhat's your top 20 then?
Did anyone get a chance to try the coop expansion for War of the Ring Card Game? Is it good? My wife loves LotR but doesn't enjoy competitive games and LotR LCG is too complex for her, I was hoping this could be the LotR game she always wanted to play.
>>93249063haven't really thought about a complete top 20 or what the order would be, but it would definitely have...food chain magnatehansa teutonicael grandebattle linebrass lancashireimperialsome type of 18xx game, probably 1830
Do I buy War of the Ring for 50 bucks
>>93249288only if it's sleeved and comes with an insert
>>93249342NTA, but why would he want to go through the trouble of unsleeving it?
>>93249349because most people treat their cards like shit
>>93249349>>93249371I mean the actual board game, not the card game
>>93249379war of the ring has cards
So levy and campaign has more or less gone way of coin with other designers playing in it's sandbox. Vulko is surely free to move on.What's the next step in his wargame masterplan?
>>93249436https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DpwIFyyboEHidden movement games based on intel gathering and detection. Hunt for Blackbeard, Coast Watchers, and a third game he hasn't announced yet use the same system.
>>93249487Hot fucking DAMN anon you have made my day.
>>93249288Depends. If you have a dedicated second player then definitely, it's well worth the price. If not, don't get just in case you might play it someday. For 50 bucks, it's not an easy game to get to the table often
>>93249236Most of them sound like solid choices except Battle Line, I like it but it's too simple to deserve a top 20.
>>93248471>Scythe a 4
>>93249849He was being generous
>>93249854...I love playing Scythe though
>>93249878You shouldn't.
Man, why did Ultra pro stop making their Board game sized card sleeves? They were fantastic. Arcade Tinmen's "board game sleeves" and some chinese brand called "Titanshield" are all I can ever find in sizeable quantity anymore, but both are horrible for different reasons. AT sleeve weld way too much shit to the edges, there's constantly glue and bits of plastic falling off of them and they feel like I killed a lake every time I open a pack. They're an absolute mess. I had to trash 10 sleeves out of only 4 packs because they were so sloppy, I've never once trashed a Katana and maybe 2-3 dragonshields out of 1,500+. Titanshields have the opposite problem, they have the flimsiest edge weld I've ever seen. I broke over a dozen of them just sleeving my copy of Chinatown. Merely SLEEVING it mind you, not even actually playing with it.I just want my Agricola and El Grande cards to stay nice, fucking Europeans gotta stop using dumb card sizes and commit to TCG standard already.
