What is with the orc story
I don't think we got the last episode's cooldown in the previous thread.Do we all just wait for the pixeldrain guy to post it here, or do the rest of you find it somewhere else?
>Matts self proclaimed self-insert character in campaign 1 was a hot lesbian milf.HOLY based! What did Matt mean by this???
>>96976848best couple
Any of you got a link to the Jester and Fjord’s wedding one-shot? Wanna see if we're going to get a scene of Fjord rolling a strength check to see if he can tear open that tiefling puss.. Cross fingers it's a nat 1 and Jester is not amused as to how weak his is in bed.
They put Thjazi in the ground yet or is he still sitting on that table?
Now that the three tables have finally been established, can ep6 finally be JUST the soldiers table? Last week's episode was so disappointing to only have the advertised soldiers table only show up half-way in the actual episode..
>>96976981It's been 72 hours and the funeral is still going. The corpse is starting to rot and stink, but everyone's still whispering as if they're scared they'll wake him
>>96976267I have no idea what kind of character Robbie is supposed to play. A ranger who sucks?
>>96976809It's a persistent link. /l/VMK2bWfB
>>96976981With what happened, they'll probably have to deal with his reanimated corpse at some point.
did travis roar yet
>>96978773yes, he's spent so long on his backstory that everything else was clearly his 2nd priority
>>96978773Brennan made him roll to see if it's morning or evening. He should've just known. I'd just know
>>96979198
>>96976848>>96976908I don't give a fuck about lesbians. Why should I have any attraction to someone that wants nothing to do with me?
>>96981062the fantasy that youll get you dick between them because they obviously need a man to scratch their itches, fucking duh.
hey it's me the anon who doesnt care enough to watch but would like to know what happens, can anyone recap?also when the fuck is M9 cartoon coming out and when are they airing the jester wedding live ep?
>>96982010>when the fuck is M9 cartoon coming outThis coming Wednesday, anon.>when are they airing the jester wedding live epThis coming Tuesday, anon.
>>96976267That art is atrocious
how will abria intrude upon this
So these filmed these ads on the same day as last week's ads, because they're all wearing the same clothes. I'm sure that's true a lot of the time but they could at least make an effort to have it appear less lazy
>>96982416Be fair, anon, it's entirely possible that they're gross people who wear the same shirt multiple times throughout the week.
>it's another klepto woman episode
>>96976267Cute art
thread dead? what happened? you kept this shit alive for a month and now nothing?
>>96982558Some anons here are kinda annoying, I'll peek my head back in every now and then but not worth trying to have any kind of discussion most of the time
where is Liam?when Liam isn't on screen, the other characters should be asking about Liam
wtf is this bitch talking about? she was in full controlis the character lying or is the player justifying her actions? how am I supposed to know?
>>96982705It's called roleplaying anon
>>96982712But is it really?
>>96982558>thread dead? what happened? There's nothing much to talk about as most of us have stopped watching the stream
>>96976267>Soldiers tableOh thank god, I tried to watch the recap from last week and it was kinda awful to listen to. >>96976848>HOYL BASEDEDEDEDBeware, the lesbian in a man's body routine is just the first step on the road to tranny shit. >>96981062It's like you don't even have a CNC fetish. >>96982308I like how its proficient enough to make you dislike it. >>96982765What does computer numerical control have to do with anything?

>Laura immediately kvetching at the prospect of combat actually turning into combat
why even roll initiative? >>96982768baited of course
Wait >did Wick just give the Dryad massive bedonkadonks.Inquiring minds want to know.
>>96982901Would you not, anon?
Sam is carrying this campaign for me.

honestly they lost mewhat is happening now?
Brother of lion guy got sent to undead tree. They are now fighting said undead tree.
wait how is she casting scorching ray and hex at the same time wtf
>>96976267Is it only the soldier table this week?
>wick can't cast two spells but tyranny canI FUCKING HATE DOUBLE STANDARDS
>>96983511That was pretty much because BLM didn't notice it. Sam's more experienced than Whitney so he knew that it was a rule so asked about it.
This general was dead for so long, glad to see its sort of active again
>>96983511>>96983524nah, hex is a cantripthey allow cantrips to be used as a bonus action in CR
>>96983535and spells that would allow cantrips to be used as a bonus action in the actual game = allow full spells to be used
>>96983535>>96983546hex is not and has never been anything other than a 1st level spell in dnd wtf its a levelled spell not a cantrip god damn it!!!!!!
>>96983511It's not like it actually did anything.
good episode, Skinner the Redcap was fun
>>96983627im gonna put my hat in you!

>>96982575same, the soul-niggers who come in and ruin everything have put me off from participating too much ehre
>65 posts>with the "good" tableit's so pathetically over
>>96981062I jerk off to pictures of women I’ll never be within a hundred miles of. Why not jerk off to two of them at once?
>>96984991i got 2 hours in this week and realized i just dont care anymore.
>>96984991No Liam, Aabria or Melty to shitpost about
>>96984991i think we can just safely assume the ADHD of 4chan has won.
this is the best campaign I've watched so far and though I knew some people on /tg/ would hate it I didn't expect the retardation I've seen on here and the constant "this sucks that sucks everything sucks" attitude is genuinely tiring and lameI like liking things, I don't know how you faggots keep living being so miserable
>>96985232Most of it is cynics, people who can only bait for social interactions, or genuine autistic people like the Liam stalker. It really is tiring.
>>96985232genuinely tell me what you like about iti want to enjoy CR, i just haven't been able to since c2
>>96985265I didn't like C3 but so far C4 has been the opposite in many ways. First off, I like Brennan a lot, I've watched a few of the d20 campaigns and he has the ability to both tell a straightforward story and to subvert expectations whenever he wants to and it always lands well emotionally. He's good at letting people build up relationships first because he wants you to get invested before he starts fucking shit up but won't let you drag it on like it was in C3 and isn't afraid to butt in as a DM to get players moving. Another thing I like is that the setting has more promise than Exandria because in Exandra a lot of the racial and cultural specifics were just flavor/skins for things to look cool, but the things themselves were the same underneath. So far, we've seen that racial and cultural specifics have a direct bearing on the story (like the fact that Elves are a rare sight, that Dol-Makjar is a human-orcish city and you don't see random halflings, dwarves, tieflings and other races running around as if it's present day London; all differences in race like Murray or Tyranny have a very specific explanation and also consequences for being what they are, like the venom Murray is getting for having been a street urchin dwarf). I feel like there are stakes (partly because I know most times Brennan has actively tried to kill his players from the start) and that there are already hints about the fact that this won't be a simple "gods bad, we won yey" story like most of the posters here seem to think just because that's where the story STARTS at. The fact Brennan had players air a lot of secrets they were probably hoping to take into the third act of the campaign to me speaks to his desire to get them to engage with the world and themselves as living beings and not pre-written novel arcs which occasionally happen to intersect (like in C3). Finally, I like the fact they didn't all start as friends, nor do they all appear to be trying to become friends.
>just flavor/skins for things to look coolThey still are. There are no inherent alignments, and every species still acts like re-skinned humans>Brennan has actively tried to kill his players from the startBullshit. Liam 'Vax is scripted to fail upward' O'brien is at his table. After seeing even Travis script a PC death in C3, it's clear none of them could handle an honest game if their lives depended on it. Brennan's crew is even more clueless than Matt's.
>>96985261>or genuine autistic people like the Liam stalkerLiamposting has been a thing since before you're mom shat you out of her vagina
>>96985572uh oh I touched a nerve.
>>96985605Yes, I don't like newfags. Why can't you discuss Critical Role on your home at Reddit where it's a bannable offense to be negative if it upsets you so much?
>>96976848>>96976908Sorry to break it to you, but Tiberius banged her after leaving Exandria (that "defaced" body was not him). The control freak Matt couldn't handle it when he saw it. Using NPC's is the spirit of RPG, DMs scripting PC stories is not. Control freak Matt can't even handle a dose of his own medicine.
>>96985623I can't believe people still defend Liam's shit. Is it just autistic obliviousness, or do they just want to be cheats and creeps too?
>>96985623the only way this strawmanning makes sense is if you are under the impression that just because some shitposts go on for a long time that it should just be allowed.that or you are the Laim obsessed faggot.
>>96985687You didn't answer my question, why not discuss Critical Role anywhere else if you dislike this place so much?
>>96981062I never understood this mindset. Why can’t something hot happen without you self-inserting? Is this some greed issue? I bet your kind of people struggle to understand why some people find incest hot too, or any other taboo thing that you wouldn’t necessarily want to happen to yourself in real life.
>>96985707Sorry when you people bloat you questions with so much straw it's hard to remember there's a question there, since I never said I disliked this place to begin with, just that some people make it tiring at times.Anyways, it's fun shitting on idiots who think they are clever between actually talking about the subject at hand.
>>96985721Man, you sound incredibly mad. Touch some grass.
>>96985729thats pretty non sequitur.
>>96985261>the Liam stalkerYou think it's just one person? Liam is definitely a creeper bro
>>96985889one of you obsessive freaks is already too many
>>96985072The Lauraposters are even gone too though. I wonder why?
>>96985684Those people have likely developed parasocial relationships with the cast. They see Liam as a friend who they will defend to the death. They probably have their own characters who they imagine as part of the campaign, quipping and crying along with the actual characters.
>>96985935I'd be gone too if the autistic Liam poster was shitting up the threads every day
>>96985986Is >>96985955 true?
>>96986007idk, I only got into CR late C3, haven't had the time to parasocialize
>>96985935hubba hubba
>>96984991Personally, I've just been quietly enjoying having CR without Marisha for the first time ever.
Did the PCs finally do anything this episode other than sniffing their own farts for hours on end?
>>96983511>double casting spell>casting spell subtly with sleight of handthe later really pisses me off, happened at least twice
>>96986457why does it piss you off?
>>96984991This campaign has been boring as fuck. The fact that C3 already wasn't good and then this campaign bringing in sweeping changes (different cast groups, new DM, new format like the cold opens) is really going to do a number on CR's overall audience numbers. Brennan brought in a new surge of people who followed his stuff but not CR's, and that has been a boon to the numbers for now. But I imagine it's going to start falling off more quickly than it did for C3
>>96983842>Campaign: Caleb is dirty and permanently smells like shit (says the rest of the cast)>Show: Liam says no>Campaign: Caleb gleefully burns his real cat alive, treats his familiar like little more than a tool, then tosses him out when no longer of any use>Show already changing that >Campaign: Caleb and party constantly doing Evil shit>Show is going to make them heroes like Matt did. Will the show at least give a reason why at Trent's every opportunity to kill Caleb, he did nothing until vastly overpowered? So this is why all shit covered roads lead to Liam.
>>96986652anon, are u ok?
>>96986664fine, thanks. Are you ok? Why does pointing such things out bother you? Are you lost? Here you go... https://www.reddit.com/r/criticalrole/
>>96986457i'm not a full on stickler for rules, but doing that just bypass the mechanic/challenge regarding vocal/somatic, casting a spell is supposed to be loud and obvious unless stated otherwise.
>>96986652>Campaign: Caleb is dirty and permanently smells like shit (says the rest of the cast)thats an in joke, anon.>Campaign: Caleb gleefully burns his real cat alive, treats his familiar like little more than a tool, then tosses him out when no longer of any usethats not what happened in the campaign at all.>Campaign: Caleb and party constantly doing Evil shitthey are misfits and misanthropes, not evil.
>>96986736>An in jokethe cast wanted it to be canon>Caleb didn't intentionally burn his cat (and his family) alive and discard his familiarWhat???>not evilyou might be a sociopath, anon
>>96986814still a jokecaleb's entire character arc is about regretting the fireYour bait is shit.
>>96986826>regretting the fire>in the end, could bring his parents back>doesn't>just a misfit>>96986814confirmed
>>96986852yawn.
>>96986664Valiant Liam defender to the rescue
>>96986877>bait isn't working!
>>96986826>regretting the fire>chooses to focus his wizardly studies on burning thingsHe was an unrepentant arsonist
>>96986898you keep saying things that are categorically incorrect.
>>96986881I'm sure Liam would be glad to have you as a devoted friend if he knew you existed
>>96986917>you keep saying things4chan is more than one person
>>96986933All right, you random person jumping in on a guy's entirely incorrect rambling, you are also incorrect.
>>96986946Caleb focused on fire spells whenever he had the chance. He even (kinda) roleplayed PTSD, but still relied primarily on fire to do damage in combat. He was a firebug. He lived burning things
>>96986972his most prominent spell was disintegrate.
>>96986983Why are you a bald faced liar?
>>96986983All of the art of him, official and otherwise, shows him throwing fire at things. That is his iconic look
>>96987009he has like 40 spells, and 8 of them are fire based, 3 of them being cantrips. seems like a pretty reasonable spread and not a heavy fire focus.
>>96987052>He drives a car and uses a stove, therefore he's not a gun nutThere are only so many fire spells, and sometimes other spells are just better at killing. And as a wizard, you learn every spell you can. You have a limited number of cantrips, though, and dedicating them to fire spells is very telling. A man afraid of fire would not choose them
>>969870528 spells out of 40 is 20%3 cantrips out of 5 is 60%The man loves fire
>>96987092>>96987114only one spell that's fire based from fifth level up.for being so tied to fire its weird almost all of his late game spells aren't fire and are instead protection and support.
>>96987142How many fire spells are there above fifth level?
>>9698717110 from what a quick google search tells me. firestorm and meteor storm being obvious picks a firebug would love.
>>96987142So up to fifth level he was extremely fire focused? That's weird, considering that burning his house down and murdering his parents was such a source of trauma for him
>>96987142Ask yourself of the fire spells that exist, how many does he have, that is the real question, not out of how many in total lol
>>96987189cont.not that it matters because its just theming for his character, some people with ptsd gravitate towards the thing that gives them ptsd in a weird way, just ask why veterans with ptsd often fall back into their military mindset when having a ptsd attack.
>>96987189Or better yet, how many spells did he use and how many of those spells for damage were fire.
>>96987184Were those spells available? Scroll/tutor availability is a limit on what a wizard can learn
>>96987184meteor storm isn't really themed after fire, more like a meteor
What do you faggots think of the cold open for the new season btw?
>>96987239I don't like itSeems like something Brennen picked up aabria when she was doing it
>>96987184Why the gaslighting? Liam himself said on Talks Machina that Caleb gravitates toward fire spells as a form self flagellation to remind him of his past
>>96987239They're terrible. Changing the format for the sake of changing the format.
>>96987239they're usually boring
>>96986702It also shits all over the sorcerer's metamagic.
how do you script a game that is fundamentally random
>>96987996you don't?
>>96987996>>96988015i dont understand why people claim cr is scripted. they behave predictably, but thats a better telltale sign of how well the cast plays their characters than any sort of weird conspiracy
>>96987394yup, forgot to mention that to, granted that I don't care much about sorcerer, but its one of the meta magic option I like the most and that i usually pick if I choose the meta magic feat; it goes nicely with Trickery cleric
>>96985643Kill yourself, Orion.
>>96988087>weird conspiracyWhat's weird about following a plan with agreed upon event outcomes? You know this is meant for entertaining an audience, right? Do you think Alex was surprised when his own character "died"?
>>96988330Yes. Everything that happened with occtis in ep3-5 is overwhelmingly well within the bleem's improvisational abilities
>>96986012>late C3It's always a newfag that comes in to complain about the way things are
>>96987239Don't much care for the cold-open format but I'll admit I did like the Bolaire one. It seems like the C4's PCs are loaded with a LOT of backstory so I think I can see where the choice comes from, but still, an opening of "PC... you are in xyz context... how... do you feel?..." feels perhaps a bit... indulgent?Or, if not indulgent, disruptive. Just in the sense that when jump into the latest episode with last episode's 'scene Z' more or less fresh in your mind and you're expecting that linear continuation, that 'scene A', the cold-open feels a little jarring, a little disruptive. But it's not such a big deal, I'll likely warm up to it.
Pixeldrain guy here, here's quick PSA:my thoughts: Brennan proves again his accolades as "Yes, and..." guy.He let's bullshit pass from his players even in combat but in a sort of believable way. Also, Skinner the Redcap emits real Chugledown Bim energy and I love it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3fbKOYI_js
>>96985935Laura is still #1 hottest girl at the table. Patiently awaiting for more of her lewd side to come out. Or Sam to stop blocking shots down their shirts as he has done in the past.

what did we think of m9 e1?i liked it
>>96989877pretty alright. its covering things that happened in their session zero so its nice to finally understand some of the impetus we only got second hand.I actually loved the depiction of stunning strike too.
>>96985572While this is true, not that many are around from the days of yore when Liamposting was at its peak, so if you do it you really do just look obsessed.

>>96990518no its funny mocking you for being obsessive over Liam.
>>96990534Hi, Liam here. I just wanted to thank you for defending my honor so diligently. I read all of your posts and, even though we have never met, consider you a dear friend. I imagine my character and yours going on epic adventures together and falling in love.
