Getting into mtg has been a double edged sword. I love playing the game but my play group gets together MAYBE once a month, and my lgs gave a very negative vibe. Is spelltable worth a shot or is it just reddit trannies?

I bought sleeves and I originally wanted Dragon Shield but guys at my LGS strongly recommended Katanas so I got Katanas. They're good but I regret it. I really want the extra length on top of the Dragon Shields.

Anyone had luck with getting a return out of eBay scammers? Bought a lot from someone who said it was their dead husband's collection and had about 200 worth of cards in the photo, but everything else in the container was literally basic lands and spider-man chaff, even though they've been using the "dead husband" story since july and spider-man came out two months ago.

For me it's 2012. We got two innistrad expansions and some return to ravnica stuff. M13 core set was surprisingly fun too. Quality really is better than quantity to me. It's a shame so many of my mtg friends trooned out I would have enjoyed FF and Avatar with them. Nice to save money though I was always the one paying for the whole draft.

I will say in my defense I was almost certain it was bullshit, but I've heard that eBay is pretty good at siding with the buyer in these situations, so figured the risk was low. I think that Airbend as a mechanic is going to be pretty niche until Strixhaven rolls by, if we get any good MDFCs in it. It's mostly just shittier blink that can also be a worse bounce when needed; we don't really have anything that would benefit from being able to be cast by (2) at the moment in Standard.
However, MDFCs might change things, since you can cast it for the cheap side, airbend it, then cast the expensive side for 2 later; but that will be very dependant on what we actually get in Secrets.

What should I play for Legacy tomorrow? I played 4c D&T last time and Winota Initiative the time before that. I'm not very good with blue decks, and I'm reluctant to play Oops despite it being my favourite deck because we play infrequently and I'd like to spend alot of time playing.

Yes, but it's a delayed trigger from the earthbending effect that animated the land in the first place. It's all part of that original ability. The land never gains the text "When it dies or is exiled, return it to the battlefield tapped." from earthbending. Normally, these sort of things have some sort of clear time limit like "this turn" or whatever, but earthbending lasts forever.
If animating lands was a more common mechanic, this would probably cause headaches since you would need to keep track of which lands were animated via earthbending and which were not.

Manlands ruin every game they appear in and are the worst genre of card design in MTG. Yes, worse than Companions.

Bant, but the green was only for the */2 that gets bigger for different color allies, 2 copies of the 2/3 green white vigilance that gives other allies +1/+1 and a single copy of the 7/7 forest cycling guy, had a copy of the WWx that makes x allies and gives everything a plus 1 counter. I didn't even read what any of the red or black cards I opened did. I had a boomerang equipment in my deck because I thought it would be good with waterbending being a 1 mana artifact, but it was better just putting it on a vigilance guy and attacking then tapping then 2nd main phase put it on another guy with vigilance to use at opponents end step. I had one activation of the fucking planetarium where I scry both the owl and the make x allies, and had to settle for just getting a 1/1 flying vigilance owl for 1 mana, but he got to become a 2/2 the next turn. The 3 mana bounce vehicle that becomes a creature was pretty strong too.
