>>97727975>Have you ever seen a turtle in your game? No,my LGS doesn't even stock the cards. The owner bought got two pre-release kits from another store because only two people signed up for the prerelease and he didn't want to buy a box and have dead stock. It ended up as just another commander night but with two guys using half a table to play.Apparently one of the packs didn't have any rares at all? It seemed bad

rules q/greentext>guy wins on turn 5 combo with some partner commanders, wastes everyone's time because the first three turns we did pass go basically>2nd game, everyone is playing higher power decks, he's playing edhrec slop arcades >casts pic rel when I go to remove his commander and exiles his 8 walls, mana dork, commander etc>he'll draw 8 when they etb>cast discontinuity on my end step, when pic rel's trigger happens>permanently exile his commander and big hittersguy was crashing out hard and arguing that it's not a trigger
>>97728206That's a delayed trigger so it's absolutely fine
>>97728132It's funny seeing people play standard now, there are so many legends playing that people can get legendary flooded, like you have 3 Momo's in hand and you lose lmao
>>97728244That’s not even all Legendaries it’s just cards legal as commander

>>97728356Every thread about custom UB cards are peaceful, them's just facts

I need a new commander for a pod that uses optimized, but severely underpowered decks (think goodstuff piles, but too weak for bracket 3).I like consistency, don't care much about winning in that pod, and dislike playing too many spells per turn and holding up the game. All my favorite commanders are too strong for the pod. Can't even play budget reanimator or budget aristocrats without wiping the floor with them.Post your me favorite casual/pet commanders I guess.
>Dandan secret lair sells out in minutes>Immediately thrown back up on the secondary markets for over 200I'm taking the proxypill. If Wotc wants to leave money on the table I'll go to where I can get it
>>97728380If you can make Feather Radiant Arbiter auras playable then let me know
>>97728132Anyone else think it’s kind of interesting that Final Fantashit standard has 100 cards that can be your commander and I’ve only ever seen like 3 of them played? And honestly I can’t even tell you with certainty that the ones I’ve seen played were from the standard set and not the commander set
>>97728399I don't understand where all the buyers come from. I bought it on a whim for 100$ thinking people would barely want it at THAT price, but people are really shelling out 2-300$ for this to scalpers? People are crazy. It's a two player unofficial format, there is literally no downside to proxying it.

>>97728425Absolutely fucking absurd it was priced at 100 dollars to begin with this was a 50 dollar product MAX. none of the cards beyond mystic sanctuary see play anywhere outside of this two player boardgame it's like charging 100 dollars for an uno deck

>>97728462Honestly it isn't really even FOMO at this point, like 90% of SLD just straight up double in cost from what WotC sells them at. It's more like fear of paying double for stuff you want.
>>97728477Why would that make more than they did of any other SLD item?SLD has always been limited runs. Sorry you didn't get one in time before capitalism took over, they aren't going to change how their entire SLD system works just because you didn't get one, you aren't that important.

Thanks to the absolutely price-gouged secondary market a lot of SLDs are actually value buys if you plan on using the cards in them. The recent Prosper pack was less expensive than buying all the cards in it as singles. I've been buying 40-60$ games for two decades at this point, usually at a rate of about 1 every 3 months, and that's before I got a good job. Why would I care about this?

>>97728795Corval said the same shit, he was doing play by play for a standard tournament and everyone was blowing up in the comments that the actual commentary was a bunch of nonsense. Then he said something to the effect that the cards function mechanically and he just leaves his body to ignore the IPs he's forced to yap about.
>>97728601If i remember, I will get my angel one all layed out
>>97728770I don't play Partners
>>97728806Planeswalkers seem so quaint now...they barely even print them anymore.

There are IPs that I like and I wouldn’t have any probably abstaining from them if they got a set. I liked Avatar actually. The UB announcement made me go rewatch the whole original show, but I haven’t bought or otherwise obtained even a single card from that set because I don’t like what UB is doing to this game

>>97728835Or like calling R/B Rakdos despite that being limited to Ravnica? I don't make the rules.

A while ago I posted this deck and asked for advice but did not get any helpful suggestions.https://moxfield.com/decks/DVdhKrZSzU-3ucsUIKVYLwAn old deck I made was designed to be W/B politics. It uses answers and recursion to negotiate removal of threats. Essentially it tries to reduce the total number of threats/resources available to my opponents while currying favor. In order for this to work best it needs to be the case that a player other than me needs something answered more badly than I need it answered.Anyway, the deck is old and has a hard time keeping up with newer power-crept decks and commanders. I'm wondering what cards I could use to boost the power level while still maintaining the theme of the deck (ie: please don't suggest that I turn it into a politics deck that gives players things or makes their board stronger). Just looking at it immediately I could upgrade Fleshbag/Merciless Executioner to Accursed Marauder. I also think that Debt to the Deathless is an unfun card in this deck I just held off on cutting it because I love the art but it should probably go.
>>97729010That almost happened tp me once, and it's why I double sleeve everything now.
>>97729025>politics
>>97728852I am really grateful people actually post this. I hope this eventually manages to spread beyond this board. My dream is for it to cause some media outlet to decry Magic as some secret extremist gathering, which in turn results in losses for JotC and mtg "content creators".
>>97729057My dream is for Magic to be decried by normies as an openly leftist extremist gathering yes
>>97729025naw, it's faggoty >tutor tutor boardwipe tutor>gravepact, rector, etcthis deck is not political, you have one card that's borderline. You don't give anyone anything, you just remove people's shit. This card would be political.
>>97728206>Any “at the beginning of the next end step” triggered abilities won't get the chance to trigger that turn because the end step is skipped. Those abilities will trigger at the beginning of the end step of the next turn. (2020-06-23)He just has to wait another turn
>>97728266>truths I don't like are bait
>>97728450If paypiggies are gonna slurp what does wotc care? Magic players deserve their game.
>>97729124No, he ended the turn while the delayed Eerie Promise trigger was on the stack, during the end step itself, removing it (and everything it exiled) permanently. It doesn't go back onto the stack the next end step, since it's already fulfilled its delayed trigger.
>>97729096You seem to think that 'political' means 'giving people things'. You should suggest Silverquill next.Having a Kami of False Hope or False Prophet + Sac outlet in play is a political boardstate. Being able to save a player from an alpha strike by removing threats is political.
>>97728914You yourself dont shorten it to IW and UB vs IW still has a worse ring to it than just UB vs UW so yeah
>>97729155No. It's faggotry.
>>97729155Political mechanics involve discussing with players and making deals, such as voting cards, giving people things, etc. Removal is an inherent part of the game and deck building design. Overloading your deck with removal isn't going to make anyone give you a favor. All you are doing is going to piss everyone off - because eventually everyone will be a threat with some kind of value engine, and then you'll board wipe when everyone turns on you. Your deck is as political as a monogreen stompy deck and choosing not to attack people as a form of politicing.
>>97729192Yeah this is the primary problem with politicking. Eventually the table is going to figure out the best play is just to ignore whatever you want and to hard target you. When I want to "politic" I vastly prefer using cards like pic related that let the other players choose who to fuck over. I've found that causes way more infighting than trying to be Trump at the table.
>>97729057speaking of which, whatever happened to that investor lawsuit, who sued wotc over devaluing the brand because of the $1k proxies
>>97729010>letting people put open drinks on the tabledeserved desu
>>97729226It's just... not a strategy. Politics I mean. It can never work against good players, and any set up that does is deterministic so the choice is irrelevant.

>>97729343plague boiler is, in fact, a classic
I tap three for pic related. Your move.
>>97729226not gonna work with anyone iq over room temp. even with your pic rel they will all gang up and choose the same creature to minimize damage
>>97728084As a boros player, I'm actually pretty happy it's a sorcery, so I can completely skip over a meme card.
>>97729355How did I not know about this card?
>>97729192You lack a fundamental understanding of gameplay mechanics or are being willfully disingenuous.Removal is, by its nature, reactive. 'choosing not to attack people' is proactive. >Overloading your deck with removal isn't going to make anyone give you a favor. All you are doing is going to piss everyone offDo you know how many times I see greentexts in these threads about how the table not having any removal pissed them off and let some other player just combo off and win? As it turns out, stopping a player from winning the game actually does curry favor with other players. You are not able to understand this on a fundamental level, further discussion with you is of no value to either of us.

>>97729639Yup, anon who was coincidentally there making elaborate hypotheticals on behalf of some mysterious other person with hypotheticals months ago and simultaneously here now recalling the specific conversation, but somehow neglected the part where not a single hypothetical was answered, after giggling like a jackass for intentionally misleading your playgroup that you called idiots.
>>97729614I don't samefag, it's annoying enough posting once every ten minutes with this capcha/plugin thing going on.I'm posting completely realistic hypotheticals with no other weird strings attached (like 'you know player 3 has something that should be doombladed instead of you' or just being bad faith like 'I always have it' memes)what I am -fully admittedly- doing is probing your brainstuff to see if you can come to a logical conclusion on your own that your stance doesn't make sense, and if that doesn't work then maybe I can find a logical thread to what you think and just outright argue with it.

>>97729650There was no misleading. The example I posted last time was essentially>hey, if you don't save me then I'll kingmake you out of the running to winThat's a deal and therefore political. Instead of engaging though, you shit yourself and refused to admit it was a legitimate line of play that inherently draws the other player into a political position. Either answer it or don't, but don't act like everyone who takes umbrage with your stance is automatically the same person.
>>97729641Oh I guarantee you it was leftovers from their convention run. Every SLD I've ever bought takes two months to ship minimum, I got the shipping notice for this one the literal day I bought it, they had it already sitting around, which is no doubt why the low volume.
>>97729652But you do, and you lie. Repeatedly. And I dont answer hypotheticals from someone intentionally trying to mislead people because that is obviously a trap. Probe all you want, you have no idea in either direct what I do or dont know, just that I think you're a middling charlatan trying to use rudamentary rhetorical traps to prove you would totally never mislead people intentionally, and are not cheating. There is no argument. The only argument is with yourself, and how you justify why cheating is not cheating when you can just cheat.
Are you faggots seriously going to do this again?
>>97728425Remember when SLDs were Print to Order?I FUCKING REMEMBER.
>>97729698Them having to toss the 30th anniversary bundles into a landfill (and getting caught) made corporate lose their minds, they will never print to order again.
>>97729494>NO DUDE, IM JUST TRYING TO BE A HALL MONITOR MAN>THAT WAY WE CAN KEEP PLAYING THE GAME>LIKE, ILL BOARD WIPE BUT YOULL LET ME HAVE MY STUFF RIGHT?? REMEMBER WHEN I REMOVED THAT COMBO? >BRO, ITS DICTATE OF EREBOS, ITS TOTALLY NOT GRAVEPACT, AND NO IM NOT GONNA ACADEMY RECTOR FOR IT CMON BRO ITS POLITICS You can choose to categorize game actions however you want, ultimately, the two are one in the same when it comes to classifying them as the same kind of political tool/hammer. I'm never going to play with you, and I don't really care, but if a person's deck is nothing but removal, board wipes, and tutors, then it doesn't matter what veneer you put on it. You are just removing people's shit whenever it's a problem for you, then pretending you did someone else a solid.
>>97729674Again, that anon isn't me.>cheatingWhat exactly do you think cheating is? Cheating is doing something disallowed by game rules. Discussion, short of lying, is allowed. You can make implications about what you have or what you believe opponents have, but so long as you don't outright lie you haven't done anything wrong. It's not like anyone is claiming to be pulling slight of hand tricks. You seem to be some kind of misguided weirdo who thinks that anything above playing in silence outside of announcing targets is cheating. Do you think "hey, Billy has two mana open, so he probably has a counterspell or removal ready, so you shouldn't cast a bomb this turn," is cheating?
>>97729676everybody who hasn't played a game this week should leave the thread.possible exceptions if you've brewed and assembled at least two decks for each week you've missed.
>>97729672>I got the shipping notice for this one the literal day I bought itThat is telling. I didn't realize this was a convention thing too. If that's the case I think I'd also believe this really was them just dumping their leftovers and calling it a Secret Lair. Which I guess helped them unload all of that on scalpers.
The other day while I was brewing a commander Deck I got bored and decided to go read wiki articles on City of Brass, I never knew it was actually a place in the forgotten realms setting. There currently isn't a CCG up right now so I will ask here, which would be more interesting/flavourful as a commander; 5 colour Ifrit+Djinn slop or "Make everything City of Brass" ?
>>97729719I somehow deleted the Tap symbol on this card and realize I have made a massive mistake.
>>97729661>>97729707I dont answer hypotheticals. And this was already discussed last time, samefaggot. It devolved into you saying you cant help if your opponents are idiots and listen to you misrepresenting boardstates because they cant know if you lied on purpose or just didnt know.Do what you want, but it is cheating by misrepresenting information and elaborately justifying it with post hoc rhetoric. And you can do that. But it is low skill, only works on lesser players, and is unequivocally cheating, even if you want to bicker about the technical aspects. Doesnt matter to me, I win just fine without any of that against compentent opponents all the time.
>>97729719You know, I kind of like the "make everything City Of Brass" idea. But it really feels like it would lead to some of the lamest piles of value imaginable too. I don't know if it would need to do 2 damage each time the lands are tapped or maybe only effect basics. Maybe only effect one land per turn while in the command zone. But I'd be interested in seeing something thematically like it.
>>97729727>>97729719>Every land is now ChannelI'm sure this is fine, WotC will probably print this in 10 years
>>97729719do you want them to have the any color ability and the city of brass clause, or add a painland ability to them? 'lands have "T: Add one mana of any color. This land deals 1 damage to you."' or 'lands have "Whenever this land becomes tapped, it deals 1 damage to you." and "T: Add one mana of any color."' (you don't need the 'all')this is rather strong and also definitely slop, probably a decent equivalent consideration for landslop to the minstrelling wanderer for an 'old utility lands with no mana abilities' flavor.
>>97729742what would tell you that me and that guy are two different people in a way that would satisfy you?(please note that this is also a hypothetical)
>>97729742What information was misrepresented? You seem to be making up your own hypothetical that you refuse to divulge, which is just hypocritical. Pointing out open mana is not misrepresentation. >you cant help if your opponents are idiotsSometimes people make poor choices with the information on hand. Sometimes we call each other idiots for doing so. It's banter, and you seem to take it seriously because you're a killjoy who can't stomach people speaking while playing.
>buy secret lair>work out>buy new clothes>meet cute girl>ask her out>go one a date>have sex>she preggro>marry her>rent a house (cause nobody can buy a house these days)>kid is born>get her preggo again>daycare costs more than my old apartment>wife quits job to "be a mom">now i'm the sole provider>boss gives me the side eye for asking for a raise>pull overtime every week>credit cards maxed on diapers and formula>wife starts posting "stay at home mom struggles" on instagram>accuses me of "why aren't you man enough">second kid born>hospital bills hit like a truck>landlord raises rent again>get laid off (AI took my job)>unemployment runs out in 6 months>wife files for divorce>takes the house, the kids, the dog>court says i owe child support i can't pay>back to mom's basement>government cheese and food stamps>ex-wife texts "the kids barely remember you">stare at the ceiling every night wondering where it all went wrong>doorbell rings>it's the mailman>package from wizards of the coast>tear it open like a caveman>it's my print-to-demand secret lair>the money card is missingworth it.

>>97729710this would solve the UBtourist problem for sure yeah
>>97729772Nope. Funny how I'm a killjoy who takes banter too seriously, when you're delicately dancing around exactly where the line of cheating is, showing you not only know, but are intentionally acting in a way to avoid being implicated for crossing it, then blaming me for not allowing you. Like you've been doing the whole conversation. And I dont care that you do it, but as has been said REPEATEDLY you absolutely know better and are doing it intentionally.
>>97729779>credit cards maxed on diapers and formulaBroke for me right there. A couple hundred dollars easily lasts a couple months with one child. That shit is made to be affordable. >>97729827>You can get a case of 70 Pampers diapers for $15yeah, if you hate your kid and buy low shit quality diapers.

>>97729813I'm >>97729598 >>97729652I'm trying to figure out what you think is cheating because you seem to have a different perception of what counts as cheating from other people.is revealing hidden information ('I have a counterspell/removal/boardwipe in my hand') cheating? is sharing your speculation ("A has X mana up, that's enough for <thing> and protection" "B just tutored, I think he's about to go off") cheating? is sharing your evaluation perspective ("I think I'm behind and C is ahead") cheating?
>>97729746The effect is symmetrical, I think 2 damage is probably a bit too fast, and having it only apply to Basics feels like most people won't get much burn value from it. Its definitely enabling peak slop but that was part of the intended design.>>97729751I used the templating for the pain lands instead of CoB simply because it was less words and would prevent Toxic (Fun and Based) Gameplay loops where you can start burning people with Rishadan Port or Mishra's Helix. Killing someone with Gigadrowse would be funny though.
>>97729841You mean the guy who had the comprehensive rules shared with him last time, remembers it by remembering the conversation enough to call me out, and already understands but is desperately trying to weasle out of it? You already know. I already know. You know I know and you know you choose to ignore it. This whole song and dance is unnecessary. The part where you intentionally misrepresent information to manipulate other players of a lower skill level, then try to leverage it into an advantage is cheating.
>>97729857>The effect is symmetricalOh, that's the part I missed. I was so used to cards only having an upside I didn't even consider it was symmetrical. Yeah ok that's not so bad then. And it makes sense then why you phrased it in such a way that lands don't all do damage when tapped in general and instead only when tapped specifically for this effect. Yeah ok I'm more for this then.
>>97729192This is pretty much spot on; politics as a deck concept is largely misunderstood by players that dream of it being what it isn't. Playing a group hug deck, for example, isn't some kind of Machiavellian mindgame where you get to demonstrate your intrinsic or developed superiority to the plebians who 'just play their own decks'; it's a deck built around stabilizing the table and accumulating symmetrical resources to manage aggro, then to break parity at the last moment either by stealing the resources or forcing opponents to use the resources against your other opponents. All "political" decks are some flavor of this, and in that way it can be consider the inverse of stax ("I am going to advance the boardstate for everyone until it gives me the material to win" as opposed to "I am going to restrict the boardstate so opponents won't have the material to defeat me.").Adding things like voting and choice effects and selecting individual players as beneficiaries of cards are all ways you achieve value in a political deck without attracting as much heat as fast mana ramping out dangerous cards or aggressively pruning the board. At the end of the day it's just important to remember 'playing the table' is just another strategy, not some superior mode of play. Dunning-Kruger hits like a fucking sack of bricks if you don't build these decks carefully because if you don't keep strings on all the shit you're handing out, you're just force feeding another player the win.My mind goes back to a friends Karona deck which was just all curses for some reason who proceeded cheat out a Curse of Obsession on me, then couldn't find mana for anything else for the rest of the game, basically leaving us both as spectators as I struggled to topdeck something to play through. That wasn't clever, it was fucking retarded and it lost us both the game.

>>97729889Funny, all your rhetoric and argumentation is exactly the same as the person I told to fuck off all that time ago and the magical mysterious other person who immediately vanished as you started typing giant paragraphs. >>97729813>you're delicately dancing around exactly where the line of cheating isI'm not. I stated it quite plainly in fact.

I tried as hard as I could to keep the vibe we discussed yesterday without draining the soul from the deck. I didnt lean too hard into landfall/hermit druid style stuff, or the yawgmoth combos, so there is a large amount of optimization left on the table because I'm autismal as fuck, but this should be a fairly straight forward efficient shell with some big boys, lots of etbs, lots of removal, and a solid amount of card draw. I have a lot of... unique opinions because I'm insane, but I really wanted to do you a solid. Take a look, let me know if you have questions. I can go in depth on all the technology, but I suggest goldfishing it first.Revilark Karmic Guide with Meathook Massacre is the main thing, like before. I'd personally put a bunch of flip spell lands in there, but they arent really necessary. Since you're running so few basics and a relatively high land count, I cut some of the like Steve and Woodelves style stuff, I got your curve down real low, and I even added Shifting Woodlands for a surprise amount of spice I'm sure you'll enjoy. Everything else should be fairly obvious. Had to cut spikeweaver but he can always come back.Let me know what you like and dislike; I'm happy to revise stuff, I just didnt want to unload 10 posts of technology on you. And there are certainly upgrades from here, I mostly modernized your last list and sped it up a bit.
>>97730868>>97730485Oh for moxfield versus archidekt, just export the list as plain text and you can copy paste it if you like that site better. I'm just indifferent in general. Mostly wanted to do you a solid, from one oldfag to another.

>>97728132The thing I dislike about UB the most is that because they have so many legends in them the standard sets have less of them
Because of the conversations about it over the past couple of threads, I started thinking about making a deck based around 'whenever something leaves the graveyard' triggers and churning the graveyard as much as I can.Black and green seem to have the most of these triggers, then red. but white and black have the most reliable return/reclaim/regrowth, with green having more one-off effects of that type (despite being the mechanic namer) and white's useful since most of the LTGY effects make tokens. Jund has a couple of commanders with return effects, but the ones with the triggers are all black or B/G. The WGB legends are all reanimator classics like tayam and karador. Anyone have a different perspective? Adun oakenshield? slimefoot and squee? Ravos and some random green partner?
>>97728601I would but pic related can go in every deck so I do.
>>97730809Good man. The best eldrazi commander is Ulamog, the Inifnite Gyre because he has the coolest art.
>>97730779every treasure that goes to a jew is a blood token
>>97728812I did forget and apparently I also have a UB card in there god damn itIt's a little schizophrenic and I have a few cards I want to swap in (at the bottom) and some more to pick up.I'd swap the baneslayer for the altered one but I'm literally too retarded to remember all her keywords
>>97730751
>>97728739This card is like 7 or 8 dollars
>>97729057That makes no sense since it is just aping the JAWS poster so the media would just think it's JAWS fans. But then that also would make no sense considering who made the movie
>>97729803This is a lie. No one liked the set and no one is building decks from it. It is not quenchy like avatar
>>97728132wow this makes me feel slightly old. I started playing magic during the zendikar block and the first sealed event I did was scars of mirrodin. they've had legends since the 90s though
>>97730868Thanks anon! That is a really nice list. Definitely brought the mana value down. I knew of a bunch of those cards and some are new to me. Bloodghast looks like a strange inclusion to me. Is it just to have sac fodder keep coming back? Coalition Relic is one card I always thought was underrated, but I cut it. Interesting that you included it. Since you got the mana value down you were able to cut 4 lands which is nice. I do have a real Yawmoth's Will that is not in any decks. I didn't include it in this deck since it's just a cast once and win card. Would you include that to be optimal?Either way, I'll save your list and goldfish it a bit and might go that direction if I really like it.
>>97730516Tribal is simultaneously OP and garbage
>>97728132>The recently made a statement about "fixing legendaries">Which is only a problem that they themselves created.Jesus. Just stop making shallow UB sets and a billion legendaries? No one would wanted, or would have been upset about Spiderman India not having a card.
I'm looking for a UW commander that has good lore and is cute. Any suggestions?
>>97731176>but he's not cuteShut your slut mouth.
>>97731176
>>97731156The secret to playing fun Tribal Decks is to play the tribes that are dogshit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfBFSCjAeWc
>>97731205>Non-wall creaturesEpic fail
When is she getting unbanned?
>>97731242She's not.
>>97730994You can look at the two Teneb decks posted in this thread. You can just go GB, but white gives you some redundancy to recursion and removal. I built a janky GB deck that has a lot of recursion and ETB like you said, but it revolves around big splashy creatures like Doomgape, Panglacial Wurm and other wurms. Solid bracket 2 fun.
>>97731215You need Soldiers to man the walls, otherwise the enemy will be able to capture your castle uncontested. The Hornet's Nest is inside the Tree of Redemption which is in the courtyard of the castle. If you ignore Plagon, this deck is actually a really cool and flavourful RTS themed deck
>>97731293Okay, you have my respects now.
>>97731242SOON. Along with Griselbrand, Iona, Prime Time, Sylvan Primordial, Rofellos, Recurring Nightmare, Dockside Extortionist, Erayo, Soratami Ascendant, Jeweled Lotus, Leovold, Emissary of Trest, Balance, Mana Crypt, Library of Alexandria, Nadu Winged Wisdom, Prophet of Kruphix and Sundering Titan. Oh and don't forget Tolarian Academy! Oh and since they were talking about Griselbrand being ok, why not add Yawgmoth's Bargain too?
>>97731298I considered also running the full package of 10 Gates for a Maze's End wincon, but I don't want anyone to accuse me of playing pillowfort, this is Wall Stompy.
>>97731313Out of everything on that list, jeweled lotus always baffled me.>card only works in commander>ban it in commander
>>97731370Why should that matter? If a card said>(0)>Instant>Split second>If you control your commander you win the gameWould you advocate against banning it because it only works in commander????
>>97731370>Only works in commanderIt works anywhere where you are allowed to use doubling cube. And even if it did't, that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake to make the card in the first place.
>>97731113No problem, I just wanted to show you neat stuff. With a sac outlet, if lots lands enter the battlefield you can sac bloodghast between each etb for crazy mana off phyrexian altar or tons of counters off vish kal or whatever.
Is Sen Triplets still good? Made a prEDH deck with her and I don't know if she'll be able to keep up with modern power creep.
>>97729025You're just playing boardwipe tribal not politics. Nobody will want to commit to the board, meaning any player that is explosive or combo is best positioned to win rather than being pressured as they would otherwise be. Since you're not holding any serious spell disruption like an orim's chant or silence or a ranger captain it punishes everyone else as any setup they might have even to just advance the gamestate only feeds you. Nevermore, tidehollow and sin collector are not sufficient kinds of stoppage IMO.As other anons have said there's not actually any benefit to working with you. EVERYTHING is removal or stealing the best things that have been removed. You can claim "let me setup so I can stop the major threats" but considering all of that setup means you are always and wholly fucking everyone else's stuff up the only goodwill that you can earn is "well at least he isn't targeting me right now" which does little to endear you to the table in general when they realize the rest of your 99 is just more of the same.
>>97730516Slivers are dogshit IF you have any removal. But most shitters don't pack removal or board wipes. They're also an incredibly solved deck(everyone runs the same slivers in their sliver decks)
>>97731293I like playing mono colored tribes
This somehow passes me off more than any UB cringe. This feels like a meme edit from 15 years ago when rawr randumb XD humor was relevant
>>97731615That's perfectly in character for deadpool though?I don't like it either mind, but it fits.
>>97731242Why would she ever be unbanned?
>>97731656Okay cool can’t wait for Universes Beyond: Literal Dogshit, a turd in every pack! That’ll be fine right?
>>97730858Sounds like they're acknowledging that you make the best decks bro.
>>97731615yeah, what >>97731656 said. unfortunately for everyone, that description is perfectly in line with deadpool.
>>97731517Who cares if it's good you're living the dream
>>97731665Because she needs to be let out of gay baby jail. I like my flying tentacle mommy.
>>97731668>Universes Beyond : Literal DogshitRedundancy is important in Commander I guess
>>97731615Funny art, DOGSHIT card choices, the foils on this better look amazing, but I guess if you're a diehard Deadpool fan/deck player this would fit into it.
Goddamn edh is suffering. It's all just one faggot taking forever. Always.
>>97731615>This feels like a meme edit from 15 years ago when rawr randumb XD humor was relevantYou just described the entire character of Deadpool. Also rawr randumb humor is still popular on 4chan
>>97731668>packThese aren't in packs. They are in some SLD that probably has under 2000 copies printed. SLDs should always bother less because they are much less likely to show up. There are under 2000 copies of the card JAWS in the world. Capping the number of JAWS decks at 2000
Feels good making homebrew decks that win against some of the best decks in the format.
>>97731968Can you homebrew me a Bosh deck that wins against some of the best decks in the format? I keep losing.
How do you defeat a landfall deck?I have a conservative amount of removal, but it doesn't matter, they always have a 4th or 5th extra land drops a turn or play out of the graveyard effect
>>97732000Yeah man. I'll make you one tomorrow. But do you actually play against people that are running crazed top end decks, or do you just lose?
>>97732003bring their life points to zero
>>97732008Mostly the latter, though people with no regard for the table's power level come by the store now and then.
>>97732018I figured. Dont worry, I'll make you something crazed. Check around noon 4chan time, I'll shout out to bosh anon or post a picture of him and link your post. Be hype. Or not. Up to you.
>>97732003https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLTl9Im73Bo
>>97732024I am hype and will be on the lookout. Many thanks in advance, anonymous.
>>97732003Gravehate,
>>97731426Thank you, anon. I really mean it. It's definitely what you said it would be, a more modern and leaner interpretation of what I made the deck to be back in 2010. I'll probably slowly come around and get to that point, but for now I'll slowly tweak it with your deck saved to compare. So now tell me what was your first EDH deck and when? Do you still have it?
>>97732003Are they landfalling nonbasics? Hit them with price of progress.
I'm all for letting precons not get their lands blown up, but MLD should be bracket 3.
>>97732236MLD makes people seethe, therefore it's based.
If mods just changed UB into UwU it might save these threads.
>>97731968I can’t believe there’s actually people who don’t build their own decks. I get that pre constructed decks and bracket 1 are for super n00bs and very casual but who wants to just copy a deck and run it? Deck building and researching cards, crafting and then setting it pay off is like THE magic experience.
>>97732350No reason to build your own deck in bracket 2
>>97732003Lightning bolt, fireball, commander with flying and trample. I think blood moon is fair in bracket 3. You shouldn’t be relying on non basics to be able to play your deck.
>>97732003It's, ah, simpleWe, uh, kill the landfall player
>>97732351I take the “game changers” out of my bracket 4 decks and they’re fun in bracket 2. Bracket 2 is no pre-cons. Net decking is for literal gaylord’s. The bracket shit is dumb though. B1 should be precons and nothing from the GC list. Bracket 2 should be 5 points of cards from the GC list. Bracket 3 should be 4 cards or 10 points. Bracket 4 is a higher limit still but with a ceiling still. Bracket 5 is for infinite combos and unlimited points or GC. When they replace the GC list with points it will be a lot better
>>97732380Bracket 2 is the precon bracket and all precons are meant to be bracket 2. There for it is pointless to build some 300 dollar bracket 2 deck just to be on even footing with the 40 dollar elemental precon. You're paying several times as much just to be a special snowflake.
