>>98473548>What was the closest you got to permanent death?I got bored and walked out in what I thought was a cat 5 cyclone once.
>>98473548>TQ:My first asthma attack back in elementary school. Chocked bad enough to black out. And only the fact that the school was right next to a hospital got me treated in time.If you mean character in game, got decapitated once, but ST ruled I can just re-attach and keep going.
>>98473588Did your school have a raccoon mascot?
>>98473590No. I don't think it had any mascot at all.
>>98473548clinically depressed and high on a bridge and in debt because it turned out that my familly fucked me over and bought shit in my name when i was a childbut there was a cat. i finished my apprenticeship a few months ago and paid back 80% of the debt and i sill have that cat
>>98473548Had to go through some kind of surgery on my chest area when I was just born and spend a month and a half in an incubator afterwards.I was born in the days when that could actually happen, I'm fairly sure someone in my predicament would die from neglect nowadays. I fear my inevitable heart attack at 35. My grandad survived 3 of them and died on his 4th, I will not be that lucky.
What clan is he?
>>98473548So, who wants to place bets that Changeling 6th will just be a really bad adaptation of Lost, but using Dreaming terminology?
>>98473645Toreador, possibly Antitribu.
>>98473648Wait, wait I got one more for you. It's Lost but your True Fae parent just wants you to feed it REAL Glamour from the REAL world, and it doesn't give a shit about anything else.
>>98473548>Thread QuestionWhat was the closest you got to permanent death? In real life? Probably car crash with a large deer buck. The only reason it didn't fly through the windshield was because it crouched to leap away, so the front bumper hit it directly.Oh, and a suicide attempt with meds and alcohol (lived only because the meds I took weren't that strong. I had the option of some others and they would have done the deed.)In game? Shot in the stomach with an automatic shotgun. Honestly I'm not even sure how I survived that shit. Probably the God of Dice just decided I'd get to live.
how do i get those necromancers to stop trying to get my grandpa's wraith? i need someone to watch the kids
I'm pretty sure the phrase "permanent death" implies that the thread question is about in game. IRL, people stay dead when they die.
>>98473718Yeah, IRL death is pretty permanent. So, permanent death.
>>98473718Ehh, it depends. You can be legally dead for a bit and still get dragged back if the docs get lucky.
>>98473718Or do they?
>>98473718That and the fact you kinda have to die to become a vampire or wraith.
>>98473731Yes

>>98473730That's a good question. How long do you have to be dead as a mage before your Avatar fucks off? Is the window long enough to be realistically restored without some pretty powerful magic? A mage running into his previous reincarnation who is actually still alive sounds incredibly funny.

what actually happens to a ghoul or revenant if they reach humanity/path zero?
>>98473548Ive almost died a lot of times.Ive been ran over by a carIve fallen from a second story balconyIve struck a ground wire with a shovel that promptly exploded & launched me more than 50ftIve been stabbedIve been shot at but the gun jammed & explodedI drowned once when I fell into a raging river, when a lot of rain made it jump the bankI worked at a factory for a bit & a machine failed & launched a big part right near my headTheres a few others, but those are the highlightsSometimes I feel like something is stalking me trying to kill me. I was dead for a while after the electrocution, like my coworker said he checked my pulse & I wasnt breathing on anything, so they called 911. Only for me to "sit up like a zombie" & scare the shit out of them later when the ambulance arrived. To me, it was like no time past at all but also like I was dreaming. If youve ever fought sleep & tried tonstay awake only to suddenly wake up after an hour nap, it was kind of like that. I was digging, I earth the world break, and then I heard sirens & was looking around for the emergency (i was the emergency).
>>98474018I think players, writers but also the characters in WoD kind of forget this, but ghouls and revenants are indeed at a high risk of losing what little humanity they've left. If I'm the ST, there is no Wassail for them, Wights are only vampires, and humanity/path zero for ghouls and revenants means they become like the most severe patients with schizophrenia, with catatonia or a permanent frenzy against the innocuous and the imaginary.
>>98474055it's weird because there is a revenant familly that starts at humanity 3 and there are both ghouls and revenants on paths but i can't find anything about what happens when they go to humanity zero. so i hoped i was just blind
>>98474063Either way they have to become unusable as characters for the players, as coworkers to their fellow ghouls and revenants, and as servants to their masters, meaning they lose their minds.
>>98474036Dude lives in a Final Destination movie
>>98474036Anon, I think OP meant In Game.
>>98474018They become feral, unsalvageable animals with a drive to drink kindred blood & if they cant find a kindred they go after humans.
>>98474036>Ive struck a ground wire with a shovel that promptly exploded & launched me more than 50ftI call bullshit on this one, that's some loony toons shit. I do believe the rest.
>>98474110I've had a couple characters die in game, play gor decades & thats normal. Nothing all that interesting. One guy had a bomb fleshcrafted in to his head that exploded.>>98474085I have a lot of paranoia about it. I try to keep it under control, but yeah those movies didnt help. It feels like im walking around with the Dark Fate flaw or someshit. The sword of damocles could get any of us at any moment
>>98473548>What was the closest you got to permanent death?I've walked in front of a moving car as a kid.I hiked home after missing the bus and had rwo car crash next to me.I've gotten both food and chemical poisoning .I rode in an SUV the ran a stop sign in front of a speeding Semi Truck.I got between a a moving aircraft and a boat during work. And I once caught Something that hit me so hard I was whiting out ing pain for 24 hours(Might have even had a stroke). That all I can think of right now though.
>>98474129>It feels like im walking around with the Dark Fate flaw or someshitAnon, you Should be dead statistically speaking. You being alive after all that doesn't really make sense.I think you have both the Dark Fate and Guardian Angel Merit-Flaw combo.
Campaign map for WtF is done. I've imported all the merits, gifts and rites I can bear (over 200 I think), and now I need to get some basic enemies prepared. An idea I like is having some repeat enemies that will complicate encounters with relatively predictable behaviours, primarily Spirit-enemies in the Hisil.Saltwater Mire is a rank one Spirit that resides in all coastal waters and will try to grapple, drain and drown anything it can on its turns if you're in the water. It must accept anything given to it(accepting being a very generous term for "in the water"), but its bane is pollution.Steadfast Tree will be present anywhere there's a large tree in an encounter, it is a rank two Spirit with a Ban that it must protect all that shelter beneath it. It does this by getting in the way if there's an actual fight underneath it, granting its Defence to either combatant and trying to grapple all enemies to stop them fighting. Its bane is an axe with a handle of whatever wood the tree is, which will change. I'm also going to have some Blitz-spirits that will darken the skies on some nights and drop bombs for big-but-avoidable damage. Any other suggestions? These aren't meant to be big active combatants, but more environmental threats to hassle the PC's when the Siskur Dah is at its peak and they are running their prey to the ground. My hoping is that it will disrupt the inherent favour in the action economy towards the PCs with a few speedbumps.
>>98474117To be fair, that is more or less other people's description of what happened, I have no solid recollection of the event myself. Details are fuzzy, it happened over a decade ago. I remember digging, the moment of electrocution, & sitting back up. Getting loaded into the ambulance & stuff is all a blur. I dont even quite remember stuff that happened leading up to me digging in the first place.
>>98474117>call bullshit on this one, that's some loony toons shit. I do believe the rest.NTA, but Anon, have you never seen a video of an indian throwing a rock into electrical lines? That's genuinely how that shit works.High power lines have enough electricity running through them thst exposing the air to them can momentarily cause it to move like an explosion or hurricane force wind tunnel.

>>98474156That might explain it, people like to exaggerate in re-telling of what they've seen.>>98474159In my experience, people just go limp on the spot or twitch and smoke a little. Talking 22kV or less, but I doubt anything with more juice would be just left in the ground unmarked and unshielded for anyone to dig into..
>>98474136I did use the electrocution as inspiration for a Mage character that I made (he awakened to be a Forces/Prime mage after an event like what happened to myself) but the game died on the vine.I think its not as bad as you might think. There was this dude in history that survived pretty much every mode of transportation trying to kill him. I think i remember reading he survived so many car accidents that weren't his fault he became uninsurable. Then he took the bus, and it crashed, etc.For me, the biggest ones where the stabbing, the gun & the electrocution. The stabbing was an old dude getting drunk & fighting with me, pulling a knife after I hit him back, it wasnt like he went psycho killer with multiple stabs, just the one in my gut & he didnt hit anything important. The gun was a carjacking. Some socio-economically challenged individual tried to rob me one night when I was in the city way later than I normally would be in that particular area of the city, & he came at me with a gun when I was getting into my car. He pulled the gun, I told him to fuck off, mostly just to buy time to figure something out, its not like im Rambo on anything, he pulled the trigger & it jammed, I think he pulled it again & caused a misfire. I didnt get hit, so I got the fuck out of dodge. Didn't sleep at all that night though

>>98474197I don't keep up much with the world, do bees need helping?
>>98474216Yeah. There's a massive parasite isdue affecting honeybee hives in the US, partially brcause modern pesticides weaken honeybee immune systems too much for them to fight off the infection.Killer bees are doing fine last I heard though.

Is there a fan-made oWoD/CofD expansion about Australia with new splat? I'm sure the vorepires concept will be better received than the laibons
>>98474216Native bees yes, honey bees no. Native hymenopterans have been declining but Save-The-Bees-style conservation efforts were completely hijacked by corporate interests in the 2000's so they could swallow all the funding themselves. Honey bees are livestock that have been on an incline for decades, the current disease outbreaks are the consequence of Monsanto and Kelloggs or whoever the fuck else deregulating sanitation for hives and mass trucking enormously overstocked apiaries from farm to farm across the continent with no quarantining or health management. Bumbles and other natives are declining as a result of those diseases escaping and the unsustainable suburban developments and mass immigration to justify building them.Luv' me bees.
>>98473648It's not like they could ruin Dreaming any more than 20th or 2nd edition did by turning the original, creative idea of the splat into just more generic "we have to stop the bad guys" urban fantasy fiction

An experiment.Take a bunch of Changing Breeds as babies, raise them under the same culture as basically adoptive siblings, see if they hate each other less
>>98474621The rules are streamlined but the core concept is gutted in the process. Dreaming 1e is about man vs. society specifically about holding onto imagination in a dreary world that tries to crush it as much as possible, Dreaming 2e onwards is changed to be more like Vampire and Werewolf, you're just fighting supernatural monsters and Banality is no longer the primary antagonist. > the Second Edition of every World of Darkness is the standard one that everyone plays...Who the fuck told you that? What a terrible piece of advice

>>98474760No, as in "hold the entire world's wealth and governments hostage"
>>98474142Neat! Since this is so urban, maybe a gridlock spirit? Could be even Magath, with merging cars spirts and anger or sth. But that is very generic.

>>98474761According to 1e (don't bother with 2e) you have five Thresholds (manner of death) and 8 Archetypes (core motivation for doing the Sin-Eatering)Thresholds>Torn (Death by violence)>Silent (Death by deprivation)>Prey (Death by nature)>Stricken (Death by poison/disease)>Forgotten (Death by total random happenstance)Archetypes>Advocate (Help ghosts resolve their business and move on to the true afterlife)>Bonepicker (Use ghostly powers for personal gain)>Celebrant (Enjoy the second chance at life by living to the fullest)>Gatekeeper (Keep the living and dead separate no matter what)>Mourner (Celebrate and obsess over ghostly stuff)>Necromancer (Study and obsess over ghostly stuff)>Pilgrim (Help the living resolve their business so they won't become ghosts) >Reaper (Punish evildoers, living and dead)
>>98474142Since it's set in England, how 'bout some angry hooligan spirits mobbing up on whoever's wearing the wrong colors?
>>98474799Id probably be Forgotten Necromancer, maybe Reaper or Bonepicker if I could vastly improve the quality of life for my family without being evil/doing anything immoral. If I could just be comfy & study stuff id be fine with that, but im not stepping into the kind of stuff WoD is about if I cant quit my day job first. Job security is important to my family
>>98474799Both versions of Geist have some critical issues. 1e actually had them lose the main draft and scramble to rewrite it like two weeks before publishing, and 2e has both the evil touch of DaveB and the god-awful editing of Chronicles of the God-Machine (specifically, powers give you conditions, meaning that actually defining what a power does requires you to flip-flop between the power itself and the glossary in the back of the book).
>>98473648I'll take 'that and completely missing the point of both' for 500, Alex
>>98474876The Lost already has Dreaming.
>>98474197>TribeIt's an obvious verbena scheme, they're chuddy enough
>>98474843Worry not, as a Sin-Eater you have many ways to use your Manifestations to make money if you're creative, plus any ghost allies you may have. I need your input on something. I'm going to play a Tzim that's working for the Camarilla for reasons. I'm looking for art for the character and of course, all standard tzimisce pictures look like horned, spiky freaks. My guy cant look like that due to that silly Masquerade stuff. >>98473548It was before Shark’s first diablerie. In fact this enemy he faced would be his first victim. It was when the communist tried their first coup in Munich in the 1920s. The revolution’s military was led by two brujah and some Russian soldiers. That night only one of the brujah brothers showed up with his cadre of ghoul soldiers. Before the German troops arrived Shark managed to infiltrate the building and snuck into the room right next where the vampire and his goons were barricaded. At first Shark thought about jumping in claws out and riding the wave of frenzy, but he remembered something. Brujahs all have celerity… and so are probably their ghouls. So Shark opted for something else.He “borrowed” from the army grenades. But would one be enough?Fuck it let’s throw the whole bandolier! The massive explosion left everyone, Shark included, with only one box of health. Everyone had to spend all the vitae they had just to survive. The brujah immediately frenzied and was surprisingly staked easily by his servants. Then squeezed of all the red juice he had. Afterwards the ghouls all looked at Shark.Being on death’s door and being glared at by ravenous men was the first time Shark felt genuine fear. He fought like crazy, but he killed all but one ghoul before being staked himself. The survivor tried to squeeze him too but Shark was running empty. The only reason Shark wasn’t finished off was because the German army invaded the house so the ghoul and his master tried to escape.
>>98475199i always felt like flesh crafting if not in the hand of a total weirdo would actually be a amazing tool for the masquarade: making vampires look like they changes/aged. changing the look of potentially suspect corpes. changing the look of vampires who are known to have died etc>https://www.artstation.com/cleonaturin/albums/1297521

Yes, even while having sex with your wife, enjoy the color commentary. It also has desires of its own (part of why it offered the Bargain to you in the first place) and they might not be entirely feasible or pleasant for the simple fact the power boost that turns a regular ghost into a Geist also usually drives them batshit insane, on top of probably having become inhuman from however long they were dead. If you get along badly enough it'll try hijacking your body to do whatever it wants. Hopefully your Geist is a hedonistic nobleman from the Middle Ages who just wants to party and not say, Skinface the Child Eviscerator, but obviously IC you don't get to choose. Have fun.

Even better if you wait until theyre really bored & make the mudane thing something thats actually scary like theyre new date is a monster etc. Find little ways to tie their mundane life to the supernatural, like their best friend isn't he son of a Pentex exec or something like that, but dont go overboard. Working on a new Mage character. In my mind he’s basically Shaggy from Scooby Doo. He was invoked with paranormal investigations and awakened when he encountered an actual monster (a bane.) He was doing his big explanation and then paused and said “the only way that could be the case is if…it’s real” and then he awakened. He ran away screaming shortly afterward. not sure what sort of mage he should be. Maybe Virtual Adept-he was a podcaster and YouTuber beforehand. And yes he’s a miserable coward who was smug as shit in his videos and then pissed himself when it became real

I just want to make it more interesting than John Pentex kidnapping them and doing horrible things to the, turning them into a fomorian, before forcing the pack to kill her like the game did.
Darn
>>98476646Seems like an Orphan, or a Hollow One if you must pick a Tradition. Yes, he knows the supernatural is real now, but how exactly does that allow him to use magick? I guess a Virtual Adept COULD fit if he was focused on controlling the “flow of information” aspect of his paranormal investigations.
>>98476810He was found by a tradition mage shortly afterward due to being e-famous. The way I was thinking it is he would be using the internet for his magick, manipulating things with social media, YouTube, etc. Workings based on things like rumors and myths spread online.

Big swoon.Mix that with personal horror by putting said bf in danger of being made into a fomori, following the demotion and punishment of his father for his inability to stop the woofs' recent attack. Now it's a race against time to save the kid, or be forced to rip and tear the ward's first love who used to be one of the few good people in the World of Darkness. You don't have to target the ward directly to seriously fuck them up - sometimes it's better to target people around them for the big-time Suck. It'll hit harder.
>>98476865Usually there's some of logical connection between these things, at least in the mage's head. The mage Awakened due to the realisation that the monsters are real and the world is full of them, but how does that realisation allow him to cast magic through the internet?Or is his magic more founded in the belief that the truth regarding monsters has been covered up and that humans are suckers who can be easily fooled by whatever information they consume, and the existence of monsters is secondary to the fact that the truth can be manipulated so readily?

Complimenting an arsenal of social skills and psychological tactics, C.A. inherited good looks, world-class physical training, and medical miracles capable of preserving the first from the damage inflicted by the second.>As the social-influencer era dawned, a teenage C.A. appeared to be a perfect synthesis of beauty, brawn, and brains. With approval from upper management, C.A. achieved a brief surge of fame. That fame ended when C.A. Chambers got “canceled” in several senses of that word. Losing her profile, her liberties, her family’s wealth, and her own identity, C.A. was punished with Forfeiture, Reassignment, and Amended Society. After a brief work over that included a cosmetic yet traumatic “adjustment” of her face and hair, C.A. Chambers became a Front-Line Field Operative. While they share the same world, the two are entirely separate games. Each has its own distinct themes and metaphysical cosmologies. So are you playing a Mage game that incorporates Werewolf elements or a Werewolf game that incorporates Mage elements? If you’re playing Werewolf, then the Wyrm is the ultimate source of metaphysical evil and Nephandi and Infernalists are each serving part of a schizophrenic whole. On the other hand, if you’re playing Mage then the Wyrm is just one more cosmic horror among manybook of madness rev 103>Mage posits a world where humans take central importance but don’t know it except in a few rarecases. In Vampire humans are victims; they unknowingly have predatory monsters in their midst. In Werewolf there’s a very specific way that the cosmos works, with delineated good and evil. Nonetheless, these games could conceivably take place in the same world, but one where not everybody is always right. Mage Storytellers Handbook pg 16or just shrug and avoid any questions >Mixing the worlds properly, without favoring one over another, requires a bold sense of diversity and a willingness to suspend questions about ultimate reality. Themes concerning the conflicts between these worldviews (and the possible resolution of them) might become prominent.also pg 16

The WoD cosmology works perfectly fine if youre willing to do the work, & willing to be selective with the mishmash of the lore. Decaying cities filled with huge, looming edifices cast shadows on the destitute and the damned. Stone gargoyles watch from atop the tallest buildings, bearing mute testimony to crime and suffering in the streets.Faith is dying here, even while massive churches perform rituals for the desperate. Even in the suburbs and urban sprawl, fearful people live behind thin walls, numbing themselves by perpetu-ating empty lives from day to day.A few people have the energy to resist this oppressive world, and they do so on a grand scale. Wherever the rich and powerful exploit their influence, rebellion stirs. A thriving counterculture strikes back at an uncaring soci-ety, rebelling with words, music and often violence. Hell bent for leather, it lashes out with desperate energy. Yet all too often, these rebels burn out in a blaze of glory. Under-ground clubs are ready to indulge the most exotic vices of the desperate. Street gangs, vainglorious bands and savvy entrepreneurs incite them into a frenzy of aggression and they profit from the results. Thus, crime is common, apathy is de rigueur, and cynicism is rampant. However, this world is not without hope — after all, there is no darkness without light. Modern heroes, fully aware of the corruption that surrounds them, are ready to fight for their beliefs. Their world is dying, yet they are alive, full of fury and the power of the Earth itself. From the depths of the wilderness they come, with sharpened claws and vengeful rage. As the natural world dies, they seek and destroy the evils that surround them. As monsters, they stalk the night, crush-ing bones, savaging victims and staining the streets with crimson blood. Yet, despite their brutality, they are the only true guardians of the Earth: mystics in a modern hell, warriors in an unseen battle. Werewolves prowl the Earth in this world, as they have since the dawn of human history. From Revised, crazy how optimistic it was.

On the whole, though, I’d leave the larger nobility human, the Starks being no exception aside from maybe being distantly wolfblooded, and if they were they surely wouldn’t be the only ones.Right now I’m considering the history of the setting. I think the Sundering and Long Night should probably coincide, or at least happen in succession. I’ve been playing with the idea that the Great Other was a powerful malevolent spirit that managed to gain a foothold in the material world during either Father Wolf’s death or the subsequent fallout and now dwells in the far north, creating the Others to do its bidding. I don’t really like the show’s take on the Others’ origin - the Long Night was an event that impacted the entire known world and probably beyond, so making their existence a result of the COTF-First Men war feels like it cheapens the Others a bit.

So the exaggerated hate for Brucato is from zoomers with aversion to anything sexual?
>>98480902No, the way that he talks about the clits of fictional teenage girls is just the most easy and obvious thing to meme about.>He's an ageing bohemian whose liberalism and new age spiritualism informs a lot of his writing. He's one of the big pioneers of WoD's focus on fighting the Man and humanity returning to our spiritual roots.>He has a very high opinion of himself and his knowledge about things, so a lot of his books have a pretentious and authoritative tone, that can lead to him talking down to the readers.>Like a lot of White Wolf employees, he has a chip on his shoulder regarding online fans of WoD, so a lot of what he writes is chiding online fans for their interpretation of the rules, themes and lore.
>>98480792It X and the progs were the two groups who supported the pogrom the most, not that the others didn't have people and policies that didn't include hunting reality deviants. The Syndicate was ok with cutting deals with most while also being ordered to KOS werewolves
>>98480151>>98480127this is such lame faggotry, why do they do this? Less war and bloodshed? Who asked for this?
>>98480978>Who asked for this?People who wanted to play as the Technocracy without being the straight up main villain of three separate splats.
>>98480990>I wanna play WoD but I don't wanna play a bad guylol>I wanna play the Epstein faction but I don't wanna play a bad guylmao

>>98480971>the way that he talks about the clits of fictional teenage girlsthis ain't reddit dude
>>98481021>It has always been perfectly reasonable to laser Merlins ass off for his fucking wizard shenanigans. It's also reasonable to blast the guys who are still asshurt by the actions of some fuck from another continent who died 800 years ago and dead set on making it everyone else's problem.>Whimsy is only funny if you are not on the receiving end of the summoned dragon.Just don't mind the psychiatric costs of things like erasing dreams entirely. OG Technocracy means all that 1st edition stuff about them stays true.
>>98481040So? Everything written in >>98480284 is still cringe.
>>98480510Jesus. Talk about writing with one hand under the table. Thank you for linking this, im gonna scrub my eyes with bleach

Morally gray enforcers of reality, at war with the supernatural was way better than 'uhhhhh we don't actually need to do these bad things because...we suddenly don't want to fight this war for all of reality like it's an actual war' shit
>>98481182>Morally gray enforcers of reality, at war with the supernatural was way betterDon't you guys bitch about how they were cartoon villains back then?
>>98481182Enough people fell for the "Technocracy are good guys responsible for all civilisation and maintaining civilisation" propaganda that White Wolf felt compelled to water them down to appease the fan boys.
>>98481188Technocracy fans are split 50-50 between>fuck yeah we're 1984 up in this shit we're going to kidnap wizards and convert them into a lobotomised cyborg army that will kidnap more wizards until magic is dead and all that is left is our glorious cyberpunk dystopiaand>actually the technocracy are objective morally superior to the traditions did you know that they don't even use social conditioning any more they're just enlightened civilised good boys who know what's best for the world
>>98481188literally putting gay chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay to destroy the hopes of dreams of people and increase productivity by 0.00001% is different from waging a war for reality against an arguably just as bad faction (and crucially, against many things much worse than them)You can let them be autocrats without making them retarded cartoon villains. Despite how modern wh*tewolf treats it, the various flavors of autocracy are a real ideology with real talking points and real supporters that aren't all literally demon infested supervillains.
>>98481189because making yet another technology == evil splat would be redundant, the lore might've been cool, but it was too limiting
>>98481188I don't mind the most of it, I actually like it but there were parts that made no sense. I'm sure Control has better things to do than inventing allergies because people wanted to go outside every once in a while. It's the really silly shit that bothered me.
And so begins the usual TUDF posting of:>because the world would be just as bad if a tradition had control over the planet, it's a good thing that the technocracy has control over the planet and they must be given even more control over the planet because of this, the technocracy is the end of history and ideological evolution, nothing is better for mankind than this
>>98481220>because making yet another technology == evil splat would be redundant, the lore might've been cool, but it was too limitingThey weren't even that. That was the whole point of the Sons of Ether, Virtual Adepts and Void Engineers. Even 1st edition mage didn't treat technology as evil. It treated the Technocracy as evil since about 1850 or so.
The problem with maintaining the status quo is that it becomes indefensible when the status quo is objectively dogshit, moreso when it's based on unfulfilled promises.

Shark here. I’ll try to summarize the night with fewer words and posts than usual. Tell me what you all think about it>ST announces that we finally arrived in Egypt, though we suffered weeks of delays due to sabotage>Not letting us investigate because we wasted weeks irl in the boat mini-arc>We all assume it’s the Assamites because we’re about to raid their home base>We arrived in Cairo, and our target is called the Black Pyramid. Which is hidden in Thebes>We’ll need to take the train, but we’ll have to wait a few nights for it to be fully loaded up with our equipment>Most of the powerful vampires in our expedition decided to stay at the most luxurious and pricey hotel>So did Catalina>So did Shark, but he’s not paying because he’ll hide in her wardrobe like some kind of paralysis demon>That leaves Mathilda wondering where she would rest, since she’s poor as dirt and don’t want to be forced to share Catalina’s bed>She tried to ask one of her pack mates, one of the other hoes in service to Mathilda’s sire named Alexandra>She got promptly told to fuck off>Mathilda’s the bottom bitch, and the other bitches are extremely jealous that Mathilda shares their master’s blood>She tried to goad Mathilda into a frenzy with insults, but the Tzimisce managed to hold on her sanity>So now Mathilda was standing alone at the center of town at the middle of the night>Out of nowhere a whip quickly ensnared her neck>No sound came out of her throat>She tried to fight it, she tried to outrun it, but her opponent used some kind of combination discipline that made the whip drain some of her temporary willpower>But she only had two>So she was immediately captured and brought to the base of the Banu Haquim in Cairo
>>98481418>The Assamite would have loved nothing more than to drain Mathilda dry and consume her soul, unfortunately most of them were under the Tremere’s curse and unable to do so>She was also worthless as an hostage seeing how her coterie (Catalina) and her pack (Alexandra) were treating her>So they did the next best thing>Under threat of final death and mind control they forced the teenager to teach them how to use Vicissitude>Many assassins learned the secrets of the fiends that night. And they learned a lot>At the end they drugged her to make her lose consciousness and forget what happened. Mathilda botched>She believed that everything that happened was a dream>And she had quite a rude awakening>When Mathilda came back to her senses she found herself thrown away into a pile of garbage>And a goat was shitting on her face>Explosive diarrhea style>Still injured from her encounter (the player never remembers to spend blood to heal), the prostitute dragged herself away from the pile of trash and feces>She didn’t cross more than one or two streets that she fell victim to the random encounter generator table>She found herself accosted by three men, and they are debating either raping her on the spot or dragging her to their organization to sell into sex slavery>Mathilda knew that she couldn’t resist them because if they get violent, and also… she was so fucking done with that night’s bullshit>Her plan was to pull out her pistol, point it at her head and shoot herself>They probably wouldn’t rape a dead body, right?>The degenerate who was into shit, was also into necrophilia. The dice really aren’t into Mathilda’s favor>We managed to convince the player to just shoot in the air and scream to scare off the rapists>And it worked>Afterwards she found herself an abandoned mud shack and went to sleep

>>98481500>Meanwhile Catalina did a lot of politics and socializing with sabbat elders>Shark was derping in her room>Until he found a letter sliding off from the door>Former PC and now NPC Asenath the Setite invited Shark and his friends to meet her mentor the Grand Priestess, at her temple>She also said multiple times how Shark was sexy, which was really confusing for him>He doesn’t have genitals, nipples, bellybutton and not even an asshole. And he has both the Nosferatu and Gangrel curse in him as well as having an unholy aura… what is even remotely sexy about him?>ST insinuated that perhaps the reason Asenath tried to forcefully learn Vicissitude out of Mathilda was so she could grow Shark a dick and balls>Shark chose to repress such thoughts>Shark then decided to warn Rasputin, because this whole situation could put the whole mission in jeopardy>He was let inside his private sanctum and he told the mad monk the content of the letter>Rasputin replied that he expected it to happen, and we have to thread carefully>The setites would “assist” us in defeating the assassins, but the snakes would barely lend us any aid>They would just send their warriors to finish off the survivors and recover their god>Though if we plainly refuse their help, in the eyes of the camarilla we would be perceived as invaders (because we were, and also we were still pretending to be camarilla) and we would get a whole clan on their home turf + an entire sect against us>So he agreed to us meeting her, and Shark suggested that he uses his koldunism to keep an eye and ear on our group>With the matter settled Shark was on his way out when he remembered something

>>98481653>The night before, Shark, Mathilda and Catalina had a vision>We were in other people’s bodies, and we just received an invitation by our daddy Cappadocius to attend a feast at our ancestral mountain home>We were then locked inside, and became increasingly hungry>And everything went red>We started eating each other, and being eaten, then relived the experience in someone else’s body, and it happened again and again, and it only stopped when only one person was left standing>Out of 1200+ souls only one, Anubis, came out of that Feast of Folly>And the event left him utterly insane>So Shark with a tad of embarrassment asked if Rasputin believes in prophetic visions>He said that of course he believes in them>Shark asked if they should listen to such prophecy if one were to have one>The mad monk answered that it would be wise, otherwise great catastrophe would happen to those concerned and everyone around them>Shark went “Oh thank God” and quickly explains the vision he and his friends had>Anubis was currently utterly insane. He has over a thousand souls fighting for control of his body, and his own soul has been fragmented so even if he could dominate the lot he’s probably too crazy to actually help out>It’s rich coming from Shark, but that guy is too feral for the Sabbat>Rasputin tried to play it off with once he awaken Anubis, the fragment of his soul will point out where to find the rest of him and restore him to his full glory>Once whole he’ll be so grateful to the Sabbat, and so hateful towards Cappadocius and the other antideluvians, that he’ll immediately join the jihad and crush the camarilla>Shark pointed out that Anubis soul fragment is too weak to emerge on its own. And too lunatic to answer coherently even with malkavians in our group to translate>It wouldn’t be of any help to find the rest of him>It’s more likely the other souls inside him, some who were methusalah too, emerge and manipulate us all, or kill us
What do you think are the best weapons that could be reliably used by any splat if they managed to get their hands on it somehow? It's fine if it is very difficult or expensive to acquire as an initial investment as long as the regular operation is better. So something like a giant gun that requires superhuman strength would be fine because there are plenty of ways to attain that superhuman strength, or a fetish that can be used by anyone once created, but if you need to ghoul yourself to fuel a weapon that require vitae or need regular upkeep with ItX to clear your cyborg arm of Paradox it'd be an issue.
>>98481751Probably that one gun with a hilarious number of shots from Book of the Weaver that's sold on the open market.
>>98481751The best weapons are artifacts, treasures, fetishes and so on with some busted effect which can be used by anyone, though I'm not sure that's what you meant. Examples are the Sword of Mars, That Vamp Sword which steals disciplines and gives them to the wielder, a changeling treasure with quicksilver and so on.
>>98481770what is that good for? you are still splitting your dicepool. An ordinary sword has no restriction on firerate. If you care about range there is a lot of ways to turn a sword able to slash at range or range simply irrelevant(it usually is anyways)
>>98481734>Rasputin lost his shit when shown the very big hole in his plan and how even destiny is against him>He took his horrid form and was about to destroy Shark right where he stood>Shark was quite intimidated, but with his 10 willpower he told Rasputin to chill>He wouldn’t be there telling him about all that stuff if he didn’t support his plan and wanted to help him>If Rasputin’s has 110% chances of success, maybe Anubis might reduce the odds to 90%>Shark just want to give the extra 10% that’s left>Rasputin calmed down and thanked Shark for his concern, but assured him that he got a team of specialists to take care of Anubis’ mind>So after telling what happened to Catalina we went on our way to recruit people to join us with visiting the High Priestess of Set>Catalina managed to recruit a revenant nazi commander and his troops, as well as some of the kindred that were assigned to accompany us>She also recruited two mercenaries, elders who hunt all types of feras on the regular to follow us>Shark tried to recruit Karl, a gas mask wearing, double sword wielding, nazi True Brujah (he was with us when Clio joined our coterie)… but with no success>He did told Shark that if anything happens he’ll be there in the hour>Shark affirmed that Karl was indeed very fast. His celerity was quite impressive. Way better than what Shark has>Karl was staring daggers into Shark, on the verge of frenzying and tried to intimidate Shark but failed his roll>Shark went away smiling with a double thumbs up, happy to have made a new friend>Karl tried to cope by repeating endlessly that Shark is too stupid to have intentionally mean what he said
>>98481786Hitting up to 25 times in a turn is a pretty big deal for whatever poor sod is on the receiving end of all those shots.
>>98481846do you have 25 dice to split? why not just hit with a sword 25 times?
>>98481861>I have to split dice for every bullet while aiming at the same target with full auto
>>98481866Yep that is how the rules work. If you are making 25 different attacks, which is the unique thing this gun allows you to do according to the rules.Full auto adds 10 dice and increases difficulty by 2 and can be done with a normal assault rifle just as well.
>>98481819I’m gonna cut short the exchange between the High Priestess and us here because I think I failed to make my stories shorter. Also Mathilda was summoned with Presence. So basically:>The High Priestess tried to play good host and invited us to chose what we would like to drink>Shark stunned her by saying he wanted to diablerize one of her own>After refusing she asked us if we could deliver Anubis to her after freeing him>Only her clan could heal his mind>Catalina noticed that the elders in our gang knew that Anubis was currently too insane to control, but still chose to obey Rasputin>Some were starting to agree with handing over the guy>The High Priestess was about to pressure us further with her guards and pet gargoyle, but one of Catalina’s mercenaries stepped up. Her name is Argenta>She basically berated the setite and boss bitch everyone around>We also learned that the setite was over 2000 years old, and so was she>The High Priestess wasn’t fund of losing almost all her assets in a vain attempt to stop us, so she let us go>Argenta told us we owe her one and went her separate ways with her friend Malik>We interrogated Mathilda and found out what the Assamites did to her. We had to forcefully strip her naked in front of everyone to see marks left by the assassins and confirm her dreams weren’t dreams (they injected acid on her spine that stripped her of a permanent point of stamina)>Shark managed to find their hideout with the help of rats he summoned (and wererats kinfolks, looking like disgusting bloated mutants)>We ordered our nazi troops to exterminate them during the day, but if possible they could stake them so Shark could finally have a proper meal>Catalina now forces Mathilda to share a bed with her. She won’t be let out of her sight until they are back homeAnd that’s all!
>>98481893Honestly kind of surprised Malthida's player is still playing after that.
>>98481893Thank you for the story, Shark. I missed your weekly tales.

>>98481546Thanks a lot! >>98473548Second edition cross splat westmarches beta test still looking for some people willing to give it a go. Every splat is aimed to be playable in one way or another. If anyone is interested in rolling dice with us feel free to join. https://discord.gg/G9994FSchw
>>98481986second edition? interesting choice. Why?
>>98481982Honestly, the willpower is a big deal, but then losing extra attributes on top of that seems unnecessarily harsh. Punishing the player for losing. And then literally taking a shit on him, that's just making it clear that you don't like him as a person. That's the point I'd fuck off from the table.
Oh yeah, some details and a fun bit I forgot to say.>Argenta has a garou made fetish>It’s a gun that shoots dragon breath rounds>While she was berating the Head Priestess she openly mocked Set in front of the whole cult>Telling the snakes that they should pray to their “god” using his real name. Perhaps he’ll answer for once lol>All the cultists were absolutely livid>Shark found it absolutely funny and did finger guns of approval to Argenta>She pointed her finger to Shark and said BANG!>Out of nowhere a huge hole appeared on Shark’s torso, he took 4 lethal and was out of commission>Argenta replied that only she gets to have fun here>Right before leaving the High Priestess tried to have us answer one last time with yes or no if we intend to deliver Anubis to her>Shark is a poor liar, so he asked her to speak up because he has a hole in his chest>She mind controlled Shark into believing there was no hole>Shark defaulted into playing retarded as to not give her an answer and started picking his nose with his tongue like Stitch>The High Priestess had enough and let them go>>98481971I don’t know who that is. I figure that it’s because we have the sprit of the White Howler with us. Since Anubis stole his body>>98482014The lost of stamina was only for a night. The dice were in his favour. But the player should have known to not wonder alone in openly known enemy territory. Especially when you can barely fend for yourself
>>98482014Also the permanent loss of willpower was always the player’s choice. They burned it to roll with willpower when they had 0 temporary left. And it saved their life a few times.
>>98482042I have to ask, what is the deal with Mathilda's player? I can be pretty masochistic with characters but its like he goes out of his way to get fucked up. Even the "imma just blow my brains out" bit had me scratching my head.
>>98475980Sad there isn't a Rokea Gift for this
>>98482084Oof… I asked about that today. He said that as a player he isn’t used to thinking about his actions and even plan stuff. In previous groups he had always listen and obeyed to what the other players said, and he let them deal with the consequences of his own actions when something wrong happened. Kinda like how Shark always had to bail Mathilda out.Basically he lacks independence and critical thinking. That’s why Catalina’s player is trying to drill how to properly be a sabbat member into him. Because irl he acts like a non-ravenous shovelhead.
>the very first publication of VtM marks 1e>then they had revisions of a bunch of shit, that's 2e>then nWoD, Requiem and all that, was 3e>Chronicles/God-Machine was 4e>...20th Anniversary edition isn't 5e?
>>98482140No, retard. VtR is a different game. 20th is 4e, and there is no VtM 5e.
>>98482158So there were actually three different editions of VtM, all before nWoD?
>>98482172Yes. 1e, 2e, revised is 3e, then nWoD came with VtR 1e, CofD with VtR 2e, and then back to VtM for 20th anniversary as VtM 4e, and then they dropped both WoD and CofD to make V5, which they eventually admitted was a different game and setting using the old names for marketing purposes.
>>98482177To be more accurate, 20th was an Onyx Path project, while 5E is entirely Paradox's thing after they bought the IP package from CCP (Eve Online devs who bought White Wolf).
>>98481986Huh? WoD West Marches? Wtf? Care to elaborate anon?
>>98482130>he lacks independence and critical thinking.Really not beating the shovelhead allegations. Im surprised he didnt go with more of a brute concept if his playstyle is more along simpler lines. He seems like a good sport at least. Ill take that over players that have to win all the time and get upset if anything bad happens to their character. Hopefully he will improve.
>>98482362I like that he’s opened to the idea of improving!
>>98482177>>98482244To be even more accurate, V20 was never meant to be a 4th edition. It was a love letter to VtM with all the stuff in one place. It got successful so Onyx Path started working on actual 4th edition. Then Paradox came in, cancelled the 4th edition that OPP worked on and made a new one naming in V5 while retroactively namig V20 4th edition.
>>98481993Second edition rules and lore are cool, revised and 20th kinda get a little too metaplot heavy for my own taste mummy 2e is kino too. I also prefer mage second edition magic rules. It’s probably because second edition was my first experience with wod that I’ve settled to exclusively run second edition stuffs with revised and twentieth elements where I see fit for games just personal preference. I also like house goratrix>>98482324Can’t tell if you are asking what west marches is or why west marches West marches is a way to play ttrpgs. West marches makes it easy to schedule things for players with wildly conflicting schedules and makes playing games less of a headache. Being non committal and a rotating cast of characters makes it easy for people to pop in and out of game without pressure or specific dates.
>>98482177Putting it like this kinda makes Paradox seem incompetent. OWoD existed for like 12 years in its first iteration, in which time they made like 7 gamelines and 3 editions. NWoD released 5 games in 3 years when it was first created. Compared to that, Paradox took 4 years to release H5 after V5, and they only got around to 3 games before starting the new edition, 8 years after V5.
>>98482417>To be even more accurate, V20 was never meant to be a 4th edition.Intent is irrelevant to the reality. Revised was always considered 3rd edition, and V20 was always considered a 4th edition.People desperately need to understand that reality is not handed down by legal documents and marketing departments.>>98482158>there is no VtM 5eYes there is. V5 is VtM 5e. It just happens to take place in a different setting, as retarded as that is.
>>98482488>revised and 20th kinda get a little too metaplot heavyV20 is deliberately and explicitly metaplot-agnostic precisely because VR went off the rails in that regard. V20 provides extra rules just to be able to deal with the metashittery. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.

>>9848253220th edition changes plenty of things from second edition Gangrel clan curse being nerfed to a minor downside at bestBotches being changed to be incredibly hard to ever see. Cringe true black hand Enoch lore Random changes to the changing breeds like making rokea not bio immortal for some reason(immortality never comes up unless you are running a dark ages throughout the ages sort of long chronicle)Sticking with week of nightmares lore changes avatar storm nonsense that were only introduced to end the franchise(this is optional however its consequences are still written into the game line in a lot of places) Changing how specialties work(they are optional in the sense of the word everything is) Keeping the major overhauls to true magic revised started down. Sticking with house goratrix being dead A random celerity buff and potence nerf (I have no idea why they did that last one) I can think of several other nit picks probably plenty of wod boomers before myself have posted on forums ten+ years ago. I actually quite like the changes to thamaturgy and the additional fetishes powers and paths the books give access too it’s why when I run second I keep the 20th changes to thamaturgy and necromancy. 20th isn’t all bad especially when you grew up on the stuff but it does attract a lot of rules lawyering secondary wod fan plebbiters who forget the golden rule or perhaps grew up perpetually reading the wiki and have an arbitrary idea on how >the game should be ran Not all obviously, and 20th is still obviously a proper world of darkness edition. These flaws are also present in revised aswell. Is second flawless absolutely not however it’s the edition I prefer for my own arbitrary reasons for that I’d say it’s my favorite edition and the only edition I’ll probably ever run other then revised.

>>98482707I don't think the traditions were ever less liked than the technocracy. What are you using to back this claim up?
>>98482763>1st edition has a whole rant about how technology is bad because it makes life too easy for normies, there's too much equality in modernity, etcAn in-character rant or an author rant? Because IIRC the Weaver book had one where they argue against the luddite allegations.

>Noah Campeau, “Harbinger of the Machine”, Therianthrope Designate: Felidae>Campeau is a self-styled DJ on Soundcloud and a social media influencer or “memelord”. While the New World Order is fascinated with his particular techniques to inspire additional media-focused influence through the manipulations of EDEs, Campeau is more likely to be interested in working with Iteration X, expressing a distinct interest in transhumanist philosophies. Although his public personality focuses on social media, he is an expert at data encryption and phishing schemes. (Missive from Cpl. Beatriz Ruiz-Hobi, Void Engineer: Do /not/ engage with this RD. He has no interest in working within the Precepts and only wants to bring about the works of a dangerous EDE designated [Error: Comms unstable.])I'm almost tempted to count this as another example of the Technocracy getting catfished.
>>98482850>chinese "Muh Sonic" lodgeLet me guess, secret Winnie Pooh's counterfeight-making sweatshop, specialized in japanese media?
>>98482875The Union has fallen...billions must reinstate the pogrom
>>98482875>calls himself the harbinger of one of the Weaver's three incarna>Technocracy don't catch this massive hint about his allegiancesCutting Spirit from the general curriculum really bit them in the ass
>>98482875If I was gonna do Werecat Influencer I would at least make sure that whatever influencer scheme they run is actively stated to be some sort of gaian scheme. Like convincing etsy witches to bomb pipelines or other such things. Or otherwise using their influence to do shit. Phishing in this case is good but it's kind of disconnected from bein gan Influencer and it should be hinted at what he phishes for. Like Pentex Higher Ups for juicy corporate secrets he feeds to an intelligence network.I think it's important for characters like this to tie back to their Fera nature and make it clear that these creatures have a goal (serving gaia). They just happen to do it in a particularly insiduous way.
Part of me wonders what a Slasher game would be like.Slasher: The Massacre
>>98482898they'll somehow make them the good guys
>>98482896Anon, he's clearly serving the weaver. He might even be a drone
>>98481696The worst part of everyone like this getting soulkilled in 2016 is just how lame and boring this is.How are you supposed to take Elon Musk as one of the most evil people on earth seriously, he's a fat fucking losing who spends all day crying on twitter after he bought it.
>>98482771Ever?It's been like that since forever. You can even look at the kickstarter numbers if you want. Even Brucato said the same.
>>98482906Eh..? Sounds just like a glasswalker cat to me. Even then that just means you should imply something sinister. A drone isn't a fucking "memelord". And being an influencer is more of a creative thing rather than a technology thing. Technology is just the medium. The only thing that even implies it is the ominous title and the transhumanism.
>>98482898Like this.
>>98482927Are you pretending you can't see the emergency transmission from the Void Engineer?>He has no interest in working within the Precepts and only wants to bring about the works of a dangerous EDE designated [Error: Comms unstable.])
>>98482835It's not in-character, it's part of the chapter on the setting, where other parts are clearly from a real world viewpoint, mentioning "World of Darkness", etc.
>>98482931>Cassie: A slasher. It's a type of undead, I guess... sort of like a vampire or a zombie. They're so full of anger that they don't wanna die. They hate love, youth, sex... things they miss, from life. All I know for sure is that they're mean and hard to kill.>Kyle: How do you know all this?>Cassie: Because, I'm Cassie Hack. I'm mean, I'm hard to kill, and I hunt slashers.Undead killing undead? That's more of a Sabbat game
>>98482705How were botches made to be incredibly hard to see? To my knowledge botches work the same they did in earlier editions right? The only thing i could never be sure about is if you had to fail and then have a 1 to botch or if you just need to have enough 1s to fail and effectively get -1 success or something.
>>98482959That all surrounds heroic which ties in decently with the first mage book portraying the Technocracy as heroic pre-1850
>>98482705to be fair the true black hand book as shit as it is and it is i done enough rants on here about how the book and it's world building regardless of quality does not hold up to scrutiny like even the shit parts don't even fit ... nvm. it does say that it's optional and not 100% canon
>>98483034There's only so far you can polish a turd after all.
>>98481641The sleepers aren’t children, they’re just, well, asleep
>>98483042Not that it stops basically every mage on either side from treating them as cattle to be steered.
Today I will be autistic and write a story about a guy who dies and is reborn as a changing breed. He will be a special boy.No, you don't get to read it yet but you can tell me how stupid my idea is and how cringe I am.
>>98483050Why do I feel like this is kink play for you?
>>98483051If I don't put in my fetishes somehow then what's the point?
>>98483053I meant the part where you wanted everybody to come together and insult you.
>>98483050I mean, sounds fine? That's like, half the YA novels and web novels. It also sounds way better than getting infected by Madness Plague to become a Ratkin.
>>98483054Oh that, no that was just me pre-emptively preparing for getting insulted. This is 4chan after all.
>>98483035it also feels like they had a order of moloch book and a true black hand book and just hastily threw them togetherlike what do you mean ALL old clan members of the true black hand been also members of a seperate sect with half the baali for 600 years and nobody noticed and this is not seen as any sort of issue by the sect of infernalist hunters?
>>98481584This is what a lot of Traditional mages are aiming for. Enlighten as many of the Sleepers as possible and try to guide them towards Awakening if they're willing, with mass Ascension as the final goal, so that everyone can manifest their own dream for the universe. There are some exceptions to this, some mages who value empowering themselves or their gods over empowering the masses, but Ascension for everyone is generally treated as the common goal that unites the Council of Nine. While the Technocracy have been white-washed into having a lot of mass Ascension advocates too, their primary objective is maintaining absolute control over humanity with the intention of keeping humanity safe because they know best. They believe that mass Ascension will occur when they've achieved absolute utopia for everyone and all they need to do is stick to the timetable, obey their betters and it will surely happen.
>>98482771You probably never saw all the debates on Traditions then.Lets just say, Traditions have some heavy baggage
>>98483132Genuinely not sure what they were thinking with that one.
>>98483132>>98483136at least most vampirefags don't cry and shit their pants when they realize they're playing world of darkness. "Wait.. this is a horror setting where every institution is fully of edge??? OH MY CORPORATE SAFETY TEAM SAVE ME"
>>98483145Thing is mage wasn't set up as every institution sucking equally at first which makes stuff like the Verbena actively betraying humanity baffling to add.
>>98483132tbf more Traditions should have openly amoral elements stemming from how wildly their Paradigms diverge from mundane society.Like the whole point of Nephandi being exclusively fully self-aware evil mages and Marauders being exclusive buttfuck insane is that a Mage doesn't need to be either to commit atrocities.
>>98483145What does that have to do with anything? People asked why Traditions were less liked even in 1st Edition, I gave my answer.(Also, have you seen the newfags? I fucking hate hearing the same questions about Tzimisce. Half of them are asking if it is possible to be trans with it. And not realizing Viccisitude is incredibly painful and traumatic.)
>>98483149you have to remember where this comes from this is a bit from a werewolf book it's a exact demonstration why when talking about crossovers the books say that both the metaphysics and -themes- change between games
>>98483145Vampires are weirdly immune to the pearl-clutching "oh my god this faction did bad things in the past how could i possibly ever sympathise with this faction and how could anyone ever see them as anything other than monsters who need to be exterminated" treatment that werewolves and mages get, even though Cainites throughout history are probably responsible for just as much death as the Garou if not more, and certainly responsible for way more suffering than all of the Traditions combined.
>>98483149I thought it was "Traditions are bad enlightened autocrats and the Technocracy is big brother x1000, only your cabal is the shining spot of hope in a world of darkness" yknow, like most other wod games?>>98483151The point is that you should assume factions to be malevolent to a degree.
>>98483136eh, Verbena are lunatics and there is a reason no one likes them
>>98483172Is that some brucato shit?
>>98483176Maybe, he was the developer and Verbena is one of his favorites
>>98483176the Verbena are his faction. he designed the tradition. he wrote their tradition book, their bit in sorcerer crusade etcit's kinda weird that his self insert is then a order of hermes mage i admit but the verbena are 100% his oc donut steal canon magic cult
>>98483184>>98483185That retard is a fucking cancer. I hope he comes back for M6.
>>98483172>the verbena are fucking crazy for performing sex magic and human sacrifice in order to save their villages from starvation>is that a syndicate mage working his employees to death and raping the energy from them in order to farm quintessence? based
>>98483196They're even doing that shit with social media now according to M20.
