If you're out looking for Haulathon stuff, they're sometimes being put on endcaps in the toy section or near electronics, so you may have to circle the aisles a bit.

What's out now:
Last Ronin Synjabot 2-pack
Punk Turtle Disguise 4-pack
Pizza Club TMNT Singles (Leo, Don, Mike, Raph)
Mirage Foot Elite (classic color)
Mirage Foot Ninja (classic color)
Mirage Foot Enforcer (classic color)
Mirage Baxter Stockman
Mirage Kirby
Bebop and Rocksteady re-release 2-pack (new ball hips)
Business Casey Jones & Sliced Foot 2-pack
Space Adventure Don & Samurai Mikey 2-pack
Samurai Usagi Yojimbo

***
We'll see some/all of this put online from the 12th on for the next four weeks. Some has already been on Target's bullseye eBay page as well.

I'm grabbing most of the line so far. Skipped Beast Man since it's just lame armor on him. Hopfully the second version Donnie gets a removable helmet like the other 3 Turtles. And we definitely need a huge mutated Super Shredder before the collab is over.

First miss for me. Looks more like a savage or barbarian than a samurai.

(not)Leo should've came with an odachi or bow, and (not) Mikey shouldve got the kusarigama. Would've been more fitting to the whole samurai theme.

Oh well, I'll just pose (not)Mikey with the kusarigama and the samurai helmet his extra pack should have. I just hope they don't fumble on (not)Raph.

There's a bundle set with the figure and the "custom" pieces to make it a normal Michelangelo, or you can buy the figure by itself, or the custom pieces by themselves.

I have owned the main 4 in Neca and Super7 form but ultimately sold them due to lack of enjoyment. These are my current favorite out of the brands I have owned. Found the Foot Ninja in store and bought a couple...got the few I ordered off the Target eBay page apparently showing up tomorrow with the Samurai Mikey and Space Don 2-pack.Yeehaw. All this should catch me up with everything. It's nice getting the classic color Foot, though I still quite like the IDW color figures too. They scratch a different kind of itch.
>>
>>10946928
This is why normal people can never find figures and have to pay stupid scalper prices on ebay. Asshole hoarders like you.
>>
>>10946933
no im pretty sure the reason is scalpers and shit distribution anon

They're army building figures bro, they're also from the Mirage line which isn't exclusive anywhere and will be able to be ordered from all over. Untwist your panties.

I think it's not hoarding to get multiples of army builders. anon is just rich, and wants an army. if I was rich I might have an army of foot soldiers.
I might even pay a really high quality figure customizer to make me the different colors from the video games. Though.... you can't paint flexible plastic, can you..

Found her at Target. Alopex is probably the best BST I've handled up to this point, but that's not a high bar. She's passable considering it's the only figure of her we'll likely ever get.

>>10949701
>>10949712
I'll do you one better. Unless mine is just incredibly stuck, that's not even a joint and is just a seam. Her tail feels partially hollow, so it's probably so that they could use slightly less plastic.

I also hit Walmart on the way back and they finally had the Foot Soldiers 4 Pack that's been Shelf Warming for nearly 2 years on sale. They had a sticker that said $35, but rung up at $25. I picked it up figuring that I would just use the weapons for other figures, but they're surprisingly competent. They had like 10 sets on the shelf in the clearance aisle, and I might actually get a second set if they're still there next week. They're totally worth $25, but not the fucking $80 that was initially asked.

>>
>>10951209
Mike Wonder's Wingnut fell and got really loose legs too. My Wingnut has -okay- legs, but I wouldn't trust him being up high anywhere.
>>
>>10951262
I wonder if this is just one of the first ones they designed, but it didn't come out til now. Because the previous wave did feel a lot tighter in the legs. only astronaut raph had any issues, and his were better than previous turtles at least.
>>
>>10951265
The problem just comes down to them using that horrible thin pin system for hips. It sucks cause Wingnut is actually probably one of the best figures Super7 has done. There's no reason it couldn't benefit from upgrades to the hips or something.
>>
>>10951269
well that's what I meant about how they seemed to improve on it recently. I assumed they did something better with the leg pins.

Don't bother anon. This complaint gets repeated over and over and despite it not being a "real" complaint considering that most figures are not able to recreate 1:1 every single pose from the comic or cartoon, it's repeated as a criticism as if it's a legitimate criticism, rather than just bitching about toys for the sake of it.

I may despise these designs, and have no idea how anyone but their mother could love them, but there's definitely no complaints about articulation here.

Funnily enough I feel the exact opposite. I like these designs but feel like the articulation looks lacking and the joints are cut in really ugly ways.

Uhhh, no not necessarily. The Turtles are typically smaller than humans, they could "work" against Mafex Batman. I think.

>>10952044
For real, Last Ronin seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Not sure how anyone would've thought otherwise. The Last Ronin toys are probably some of my favorites. Especially the Foot Bot.

>>10951657
Zero. Assuming Playmates doesn't do figures for it, there's no reason NECA wouldn't do the movie figures. McFarlane's struggling to even do the DC figures right now, I doubt he could dip his toe in TMNT...let alone be given any part of the master license...wtf?
>>
>>10952088
>The Turtles are typically smaller than humans, they could "work" against Mafex Batman. I think.
Of course but will they scale? I don't mind human sized either but I'm worried the necas will be towering and fury Toys will be like gremlins

>>10951657
Nick wants a different style for the film ronin figures, so McFarlane is at the top of the list but nothing finalized yet. This is toy industry gossip but is grounded in reality. Neca has a limit on the number of lines they can do re:turtles at present, which is why they shuttered the video game line.

>>
>>10952131
wtf would your alternative be? a one-size-fits-all approach usually ends up disappointing both parties. they at least tried to cater to two distinct demographics in ways they thought each would best appreciate.
>>
>>10952313
kids appreciate being challenged. stop making things easier or simpler for them
adults like fun, you can't take all the fun an convenience out of something in the name of 'challenge' for only the hardest-core hardheads. that goes for videogames too. As kids we didn't care that we couldn't beat level 1 in anything, and as tired adults we don't like things being built for twitchy obsessives.
I just want things how they were before. laird's TMNT. the first movie, or a more mature version of 2003. and for robot toys and model kits I want them like they were in the 20th century, before they went nuts.

The foot don't even seem to have any clear direction or goal on their own. Shredder's just helping Sacks just because. So the story is still a mess. It was shown at SDCC last year, and when the Haulathon leaks first dropped last thread. NECA thread is a bit of a ghost town though.
>is this target-exclusive?
Early Target exclusive apparently, so other places should get it later on like the Mirage shit, from what I was told.
>is this going to be the exclusive source of his folded wings!?
Yes. It's part of the NECA double dip program. Until we have all double dipped to get the non space wasting wings, and then they will release an accessory pack with the mid-spread wings.
>>
>>10955156
so far the only doubledippage has been theoretically for the phoenix gate in the upcoming goliath and demona 2-pack.. i think this is going to bite them in the ass honestly. The level of unsold merch will totally outweigh the double dip sales. Goliath is still pegwarming to this day, it's just a tough sell. the line looks good, but it doesn't look exactly like the show, nor is it in a scale that could really share a shelf space with anything it does match.

>>

It's hard to translate what the creator is saying, but it sounds like there's going to be a different Leo coming out...so they may not re-release the old figure, but do an updated version that's a different style. But we won't really know WHAT the deal is until it happens.

>>10955440
I'm guessing they had a slot to fill and no budget for a full new mold, so their idea pool was limited to "what can we make this into by just adding a few accessories?" Kind of like that new samurai Leo. It's lazy, but if you view it with those constraints in mind, there isn't a ton you can really do. Like, no matter how you slice it, it's Malibu Stacy with New Hat. But that's just the way things work out budgetwise sometimes.
>>
>>10956536
I mean they don't have to do a new mold, they haven't before. But this is so beyond low effort that it's kind of telling of the state they're in.
>>
>>10956541
What would you have done though? Like if I give you the constraints of needing to put out one of the main 4 turtles to fill a slot, needing to reuse the existing mold, and giving you the budget for 2-3 new accessories, what would you do with that, that's more interesting than what we got?

It's easy to complain but I have more sympathy now that I'm a project manager at my own job. 9 times out of 10, when I see someone complain about X missing or Y feature on our product, I'm thinking to myself "I wish you could have seen behind the curtain." Budget cuts, orders from oblivious superiors, conflicting philosophies on the team, so many things can come together to make a product less cool than what was originally intended.
>>
>>10956560
Just do literally what they've been doing. Grab a random figure and make it a glow in the dark figure. It's not like they don't have new stuff to choose from. You're making excuses for Super7's bullshit.
>>
>>10956442

>>
>>10956590
well there are only so many characters who make sense glowing
they could easily resell the foot soldier in more colors, it's weird they haven't. but they also refuse to scale up his weapons...
>>
>>10956590
Yep, those things did NOT sell well. I am nuts for GITD toys, so I bought them instantly at full price. Felt a bit foolish later when they binned super hard, but eh, they're still cool toys and I felt I paid a fair price at the time so no harm no foul.

They could also just do color variants for existing figures. Robot Bebop and Rocksteady have alt colors from the old toyline, shredder still has his 'toon' variant yet to be done, Ace Duck could have a "oops sorry we fixed the colors please give us another 55 dollars" recolor.. which I would buy. because i'm a sucker.

>>10957754
I think they're talking about the eyes behind the glasses. The previous release had blacked out eyes like in >>10957280 but Bebop's eyes are visible and normal in the first 5 episodes of the cartoon.
>>
>>10957770
ohhhhhh weird. Are the glasses actually removable, or did someone bust out the hobby knife?
because that actually is a really good question, how do you deal with the fact that in cartoons, glasses totally obscure the eyes? do you put real eyes back there? or do like Duckman where the eyes are IN his glasses...
>>

hang on, are you saying that in the original '87 pilot episodes, his eyes were visible WITH the glasses on? in shots from above or something?

okay, fair.. huh the glasses themselves are pretty off model there.
Well That does prove he HAS normal eyes, which I don't think was really in doubt..
but the question remains how to depict them on the figure. Especially if the glasses are not normally removable. I'm... genuinely not sure. . I mean they are wraparounds, so I think you could get away with integrating them fully into the face, with no gap.
>>
>>10957813
what do you mean, the glasses are easily removed, they're not glued to his face.
>>
>>10957817
well that's why I said 'if' and earlier I asked
so if they're removable, then they really should have put real eyes back there.. but probably pretty small ones. not as big as that black painted area.
>>
>>10957817
So what? The character has them on 99% of the time, hence why they're darkened out on every Bebop figure. There's no reason to put eyes back there unless they wanted a bug out crazy expression.
>>
>>10957820
>then they really should have put real eyes back there..
No, they shouldn't have.
>>
>>10957810
Listen, the truth is that the VP of Neca corp. was never a turtles fan and so accuracy doesn't matter all that much to him, only cashing in on the new golden age and riding the wave. Gorgyles fans know this deep pain when they went for roided up characters and not the smooth look of the cartoon. Broader appeal is all that matters, don't you see? Your average moron dragging their knuckles into Target and grabbing Neca B&R likely never even takes them out of the package so unless the sunglasses fell off in package, they'd never know about this issue.
>>
>>10957834
well would they be visible? because if so, then that would ruin it
but i'm really surprised they weren't just fused to his face, making the issue moot.
>>
>>10957836
Oh fuck right off you gigantic asshole.
>>
>>10957833
For accuracy, dumb dumb. You don’t need real cut out slits, color them black and then put real eyes on his head so that if you’d like to take the glasses off, you can. Boy are you dense.
>>
>>10957837
He has slots on the bridge of his nose to keep them in place. They're not meant to be removed really. They're separate pieces for assembly purposes only, and so they're not just a chunk of sculpted to the face plastic.
>>
>>10957840
Nobody is taking his shades off, it's a completely moot thing to bitch about. But YOU always need to bitch about something.

What do you guys think is up with this weird ass Super Shredder I've got? I found him at a flea market with a bunch of other vintage stuff like two years ago and I have not seen another figure like him anywhere. Instead of the normal purple he's this burgundy even down to the joints, and his helmet doesn't have any of the silver accents the original does. His shoulder armor bits are also real weird and judging from how their painted I'd have bet his spikes would've been just as weird, but they're MIA. He's got the typical copyright info and plastic quality is the same, so that discounts him being a bootleg, I think. Maybe they had a bad run of plastic in the batch? Or a weird test shot? I dunno.
>>
>>10957891
hmmmm... bootleg? I never noticed before how his shoulders have that weird shit, I'm curious what that even comes from.. and why it's there. The bootleg evidently painted it.
>it has the copyright info so it can't be a bootleg
but... surely that would make it through the bootlegging process..

hang on, look at the torso. see how it's gradiented? I think this is yellowing. The yellow has turned the purple red, the silver paint has scraped off of the helmet, and you can see how where the armor USED to be protected it from sunlight for a while.
>>
also kinda surprising playmates wasted money painting the bandage wrappings under the armor

>>10957895
Some of the bootlegs I've seen have made a point so scrape off copyright stuff (for some reason) so I had assumed that'd be a common practice. I don't think the silver was scraped, since the original has some in the vents of the helmet you couldn't just scape off like that, I'm thinking it was never applied to begin with. You might be right about the yellowing, but would it do it this specifically to this degree? His back torso doesn't have the gradient going on at all. Maybe the plastic used was just different and that's why it reacted differently? Who knows.
>>10957901
Yeah, they were usually pretty good at cutting costs whenever they could.

>>10957922
I imagine he was laid on his back? hmm... what does the reverse side of his buttflap look like?

now you have my mind boggling with those techy-looking shoulder medallions, and i'm wondering whether this body might have actually been invented for a different use first, THEN thrown in for supershredder. because i know they used it again later, but maybe that one was delayed.

Are we looking at the same figure? I'm not a BST AXN stan or whatever, I'm impartial if anything, but like, literally how can you say it's "especially soft" with the extremely crisp looking microtexture all over his clothes? Or the fine, bunching folds at his knees, armpits, waist, and even nose. The sharp parts of the sculpt even look kinda sharp! From what I hear about this line, the problem is the engineering, which is supposedly garbage. The sculpts are not the problem. Even the non-clothed parts are at least on par with Hasbro's lazier work. I really have to question your eyesight.
>>
>>10962839
That's a good point
I'm not that same guy but.. now that i look more closely, while it does have high fidelity texture, look at the cut rotation joints on the shoulders and thighs (first of all, put your rotation up at the attachment point of the thighs, jeez. nobody needs to be able to sit crosslegged and it ruins the sculpt)
they're ragged, gritty, and uneven. The shoulders in particular aren't even the right thickness to go into the upper arms.
Beyond that, he looks pretty fuckin good to me. Only thing that could be better is to make the area around his eyes black. I mean if you're gonna have the eyes be white, then his head should be in shadow.. at least paint it a shadowed skin color.
>>
>>10962850

Does your country not allow you to get the meds you so desperately need? You seem to be struggling with reality and general attempts at clarity. Very worrying.

It is serviceable. I wanted to pose him like the old shredder but it is not so flexible... It looks cool though.

>People that actually buy these toys know that.
Funny when I’m the only one who posted that particular toy.
>>
>>10963091
huh. that head's pretty big
is that how she looked in the comics? was it drawn kinda stylized?
>>
>>10963421
You should probably get your eyes checked.
>>
>>10963421
It does look oversized for the source material. I’m hoping zelu1984 is contracted to do the next mirage April because Trevor has never sculpted an attractive female in his life

Pretty much, yeah. I remember having the April variants on order for the longest damn time before they were finally cancelled. And of course at the time nobody knew what was going on, least of all that Playmates was blocking everything.

She's a good figure still, more basic by today's standards though.
>>
>>10963538
Maybe you should stop looking at all that tranny porn, fucktard.
>>
>>10963538
It doesn't. You are such a weird asshole to toy sculptors.

It's a bot. That's why it just reuses names like that

put your hand in front of your face and compare it with her hand to face proportions

(i won't shove your hand into your face)

It's pretty much 1:1 exactly how she was drawn in issue 2.

Yeah, it's uncanny what a blind retard you are
>>
>>10963897
mm I don't think so. compare the width of her face to the width of her breasts.
>>
>>10963901
Do you need glasses or something?
>>
>>10963904
perhaps i need a measuring tape.
I'll try overlaying the two later.
>>
>>10963904
Her head is too large on the figure and she has the trashy black liner around the lips like some ghetto latina
>>
>>10963906
The face is smaller than her boobs. What are you even talking about?
>>
>>10963910
Yeah, because that's what she looked like in the comic book doof. The head is not too large, again, read a comic.
>>
>>10963912
to my eye, her face is exactly as wide as one of her boobs in the comic panel. maybe a tiny bit less
the figure's face is significantly wider than either boob, perhaps by 50%.
it simply looks scaled up, especially with the rather long face with prominent cheekbones and strong jaw, features you would expect on an extremely tall supermodel pushing 6 feet.
>>
>>10963926
>the figure's face is significantly wider than either boob, perhaps by 50%.
No it isn't. Your eye isn't very good if you think that's the case. It's definitely not scaled up either. Her face is as long as it is in the comic with how she's drawn.
>>
>>10963930
she doesn’t have a horse face in the comic

You're going to have to deal with the fact that the figure looks like the artwork. It's early ass work, so things change as the artists improve.
>>
>>10963937
The figure doesn't have a horse face either
>>
>>10963937
She has a variety of faces and a lot of them are... definitely kinda homely in that 80s kinda way.
>>10963939
ah yeah, this is more stylized art so her proportions are different.. oddly inconsistent between panels but eh

here check it
I overlaid the comic panel, matched their shoulders up exactly, and her head is significantly smaller. She also has much less of a long face, so on the right we have a somewhat corrected-proportion version, and then one where the eyes and bangs are moved down a bit to make a prettier face, more like she typically looks in the comics.

alternately, here I scaled her head down a bit but then made it proportionately wider. I think this looks the most natural while making the fewest changes. but I prefer April to have bigger hair than this.
>>
>>10963990
You did a terrible job of lining it up, and that completely throws off whatever point you were trying to make. You're also not taking into account the weird foreshortening in the art. The adjustment does not fix anything, there was nothing that needed fixing to begin with.
>>
>>10963994
And now it doesn't look like the comic at all.
>>
>>10963997
>waist and hips literally line up perfectly, shoulders nearly do but she's tilted
looks right to me
>weird foreshortening
she is leaning forward. Which means it's making her head even BIGGER than it would otherwise be. and it's STILL smaller than the figure's head, which is standing up straight with no foreshortening.

face it guys, a woman's head shouldn't be bigger than her pelvis. Not except in extremely stylized stuff, which this isn't.
>>
>>10964001
I don't think she has ever looked like this figure, but she changes a lot
as I recall, they asked eastman (the guy who admits he isn't as good an artist as laird) to draw them brand new april art for reference, since she looks different in every panel of the comic.
>>
>>10964003
>she is leaning forward.
She is not. So you're making up a weird excuse for the artwork that isn't there.

> a woman's head shouldn't be bigger than her pelvis.
Do you not understand the point of a toy matching comic art? Is that completely lost on you?
>>
>>10964010
So neca doesn’t even try to keep things in a realistic scale is that what you’re saying?
>>
>>10964003
>which this isn't.
But it is. Have you never read early Mirage comics before? Everything is stylized. There's weird proportions and looks to everyone.
>>
>>10964014
You're pulling things out of your ass now

did you not read my last sentence fragment? I said except in stylized stuff, which this (comic) isn't.

roffle okay
i'm glad they didn't do that in the figure..
gotta admit her head looks pretty big and very cheekboney here too. also her pelvis looks small for her thighs, but I can't throw stones, i can never figure out how to draw that angle myself.
>>
