I considered myself phased out of lego then a friend got me a technic set (Ford GT) which was a really interesting build. I tended to go for the modular buildings and some of the ideas sets and never the technic stuff, but building a differential and hooking up steering was really neat. I started researching mod kits for how to make it into an RC car too.What are some good technic sets that are currently available? Thinking something I could play with a 4 year old with without it being too frustrating.What are you favorite technic sets of all time? Be patient you’re not going to miss out by waiting a while for it to come down to a reasonable price or hit a sale when one of the big retailers discount things. Do you live near a black or Mexican Walmart you would normally avoid for obvious reasons? Go during off peak hours middle of the month when ebt has run out. Those are often great places to find good things on clearance or retired sets but it’s also going to be a disaster zone.

There's talk of stores putting security cabinets with locks around Hot Wheels in some stores. I guess they're easy to steal being so small. Anyway yeah this works for Lego too. Go in the mornings, nobody who frequents those types of WalMarts is out of bed before noon and they usually restock/organize/clean up overnight so the undesirables wont have gotten in to shit everything up as bad by then.

I checked out the possessed dragons and they seemed to also really be cool examples of basically fully brickbuilt beasts. That's my platonic ideal of big lego creatures. Use cloth/plastic and moulded feet for stability if applicable but the rest should be completely constructed, especially the head because that's half the fun.
