My kid got into Lego, specifically interested in gears. Anyone have recommendations for a starter kit or something? I think he's over his head. I sure am. What's your opinion on atlbrick? Recs for other off-brand things?
>>
lego is a super expensive scam. if you can, buy him knockoffs, you can always check reviews on youtube.
>>
even if you wanted to buy lego technic the new sets are pieces of shit, mostly just scale models of cars.

cada, mould king
>>
just buy a bunch used on bricklink theyre pretty cheap because their usefullness to the collector is limited
lego made an eduation kits specifcally for schools and autistic kids so just look at the iventory for those sets
>>
mindstorms is really surprisingly cheap on bricklink but op should also get some normal set with it bc mindstorms alone is boring, it's just gears and the most basic parts.
