Getting real tired of the Scale/Hover/Rod deck. I hope Meteor Dragoon is some broken S tier blade just for the sake of having more options. More than half of my locals is just a mirror match at this point.
>>11635259Wish granted, your locals will run Cobalt/Meteor/Rod decks for three months
>>11635259I really feel like the points system needs to be harsher
>>11635259>>11635359One idea I had, to solve this problem, was a limited format where all the best blades would be placed into a single group and you could only have one of them per deck.
HEY KAI YOU'RE A STUPID DUMMY
turkey blade when?
>>11635699people always debate if dranzer is a phoenix or the vermillion bird but really its a turkey
I got to play beyblade with my cousins today while we waited for turkey time. Second year in a row, it's becoming a tradition. My nephew made his team up of all the characters he thought looked badass and a few he's gravitated towards, Dran Buster being his fave and now Weiss Tiger. My niece is pretty good but she has a problem ripping the cord hard enough for attackers to really pop off, although somehow she out spun him with a SUPER weak rip where the enemy bey just juggled itself until it fell down. Then when it was my turn to face against my Nephew she kept concocting new loadouts and handing them to me fresh every time. She came up with a sick Dran Dagger that TK-O'd his top blade setup. I'll have to round them up and document what she put together for me, but I'd say maybe 6 out of 10 she made were actually really good; she was understanding the fundamentals pretty well. Love these kiddos, happy they enjoy ripping beys with their Uncle.
>>11636077As for my cousin she use to play beyblade at school when she was a kid. Was awesome getting to introduce her to the new school of blading. I could tell it was something special to her but she hadn't thought about it years.
these fucking tariffs are gonna make me cry man
>>11636390>local stores are finally getting a ton of Wizard Rods back in stock>they're $15 nowI regret not buying out all the $10 Buster/Rod bundles I saw when I had the chance.
>>11636390Isn't beyblades one of the few toys that's practical to 3D print?
>>11636460only plastic gen, not the modern stuffI guess you can 3d print bits
Ichigo fell into YGO's favorite trope, Mind Control. She has a FANG now!
>Fox BrushHeavy 1-60 Level>This combo costs over a hundred dollars (with shipping) to makeGranted, it also means buying the Shark Scale and Emperor Might deck sets which have good stuff in them, but still, being a beyblade fan is suffering. I wish there was a place to buy specific parts that wasn't sold out 90% of the time.
>>11638353I thought Fox Brush was trash?
>>11638354Maybe, but I'm not really building for meta. Gold fox+gold heavy wheel look nice together and the black ratchet and bit compliement the black marks on the blade.
>>11638354even fox brush can be made somewhat decent with the new Heavy assist blade, its a pretty good buff for CX attackers
>Emperor Blast H 3-60 LRGood idea or not? Been thinking of using Rush too
>>11638720I'm not sold on Blast Heavy, I feel like you're better off keeping Might and Heavy together for the shape synergy and "fuck you" weight.
>>11638354The big tail is a great crit point, the others act more deflective, it's entirely usable. The bigger, and wider, problem is Takara seem afraid of making new beys heavy, it should be an effective smash attacker with heavy bumping up its weight.>>11638353I'm the anon who was testing brush last thread, level is probably THE best bit to use for that combo for consistency, but I personally still prefer kick, it has less stamina but brush synergizes really well with its countering movement style.
>>11638720it's good but hard too use, it lacks the ooomph of shark or wyvern, it does little against stamina builds like clock or 9ball rod. The emperor chip kills it's stamina too.I'm torn on it
>>11638976>level is probably THE best bit to use for that combo for consistencyOh nice. Honestly I was just going for it because it felt like a good aggressive bit that wasn't too aggressive. Plus it just looks like it'd look good together.
Build me a deck pls.I'm going to my first tournament this week, and I want to the very least win a match. I have played with my friends, but we almost haven't used the official rules, we even mix and max with fakes (I have tons as well).Right now I'm thinking about Hover, Rod and Scale, but I don't know about the ratchets and/or bits. From left to right, the ratchets are>9-60, 5-60, 3-60, 1-60, 0-60>5-70, 3-70, 1-70, 0-70>3-80Bits, from left to right>Accel>Ball, 2>Low flat>Point>Low Rush, 2>Rush>Flat>Gear Flat>Level>Zap (I was looking on Google about "Accel with point" and couldn't find anything. Had to look in a database kek). Also, as a bonus, I have a few good fake parts. One Wheel and a few bits:>Hexa, Kick, Level, Free Ball, Wedge (I actually asked my friend to borrow his but I think I mixed the fake one by mistake), Elevate and Wall BallI would like to skip having to use fake parts, but I will build two or three decks, since I will have my beyblade briefcase.
>>11639376>Shark Scale 3-60 Low Rush>Wyvern Hover 9-60 Rush>Wizard Rod 1-60 HexaIf you can borrow a real Hexa from someone, you have the best deck in the game at the moment. If not, you could put Rod on 1-60 Level and still do well. You could also change Shark Scale to 1-70 Low Rush, and put Rod on 3-60 Ball you're brave enough to risk the potential bursts. You've got just about everything you need to have a great tournament.
>>11639376Mostly what this guy said >>11639390 you could also run shark on 1-70 Level and run attack rod on 1-60 or 3-60 LR, I've seen some good results from people running those. If you wanted some other stuff to potentially throw in there, Blast is always a solid choice, since you don't have slash I'd say do something like Jaggy 3-60 with any decent attack bit. I've also seen decent success with Blast on 4-50 Rush.
>>11639233I'm so fucking tempted to do a combo with Heavy and 2-60.
>>11639376Being a metafag is boring.Scale 5-60 low rushPhoenix 1-60 levelBlast free 0-70 hexa/point
>Being a metafag is boring.Don't listen to anyone who says this if you have any desire to win. You can play for fun at home.
>>11639376O–– Free Blast 9-60 Hexa–OO Impact Drake 4-50 Flat–OO Shark Scales 1-60LR
>>11639390>>11639396Thank you, I will go with that, if they lend me a Hexa or let me use my fake one then I will use that combo, but if they don't then I will just use Level since it's king of similar.>>11639603>>11639671>>11639774I will build or have in hand a mix of those for my friend if he can make it to the tournament (we are all going to an Anime con but we hace to travel, so everyone has different schedules and he mostly likely won't be able to play). And another question, where should I aling the ratchet on Wizard Rod? I think it's the most important since it relies on stamina. The left one has the more mass concentrated, so I guess right is the way to go (since the 1 ratchet is mostly to escape from the pocket, right?).And final question, should my main order be Hover, Scale and Rod?
>>11639842>should my main order be Hover, Scale and Rod?I see in tournament breakdowns that rod is rarely used in the first slot, which might actually give you an advantage if you run it because it's not as common, while hover and scale are both counters to it.
>>11639162The thing is with Blast & Might, it turns into weightcreep game and I only had Phoenix Wing 1st mold which make a bit hard to play attack-type.
There's interesting stuff on Beyblade X update app, they list Metal Blade & Over Blade on catalog section.
>>11635259Was Burst's meta ever this single minded? Like I know there we some good parts like Deathscyther in the earlier generations, but the most I ever seen of top level Burst play was during CEO years ago where everybody relied on stall out tactics.>>11636460You're going to 3D print a full-on metal cast? >>11641203>Golem Rock
>>11641203Pretty good, a lot of top tier parts.Golem Rock is better than people think it is. It can KO Hexa Rod pretty consistently, it's just a little light compared to everything else. It's so fun to use though.
>>11641270might be light, but it still hits like... well like a rock when you run it as an attacker
>>11641296Yeah. 6-60 Low Flat / Low Rush is my preferred build. 7-60 gives it a little more weight, but I think the blade is too small to cover it, and you risk the ratchet scraping that low.

Are the beyblade x games fun? I saw there was a newer one now
>>11641257Low key I have no idea what I’m doing, I just like to let it rip.
>>11641853the one from last year is only really fun if you're autistic about spinning tops (like me)havent played the new one yet but it seems like the gameplay is a bit more involved, regardless it probably still isnt worth the price, thanks fitgirl
>>11641853I can't honestly imagine having a whole lot of fun with a beyblade game. Surely it'd be a lot like a pinball game in that it's 100% reliant on its physics, but there's much more direct interactivity with those than there would be with beyblades. I don't want to succumb to the same mindset every boomer had in 2007 about Rock Band where they said "learn a real instrument" but pressing X to do a different launch method wouldn't hit the same as actually learning that method and applying it in real life. A beyblade game would be heavily reliant on either having a great story mode or doing some wild, outlandish things with the beys that are unfeasible (if not outright impossible) in real life. That all said there's a part of me that's still debating buying the new one, but really that's just so I can get Leon Fang.

>>11643130why not just ban it? clean across the board, say enough is enough why hasn't TT thought of that to help increase variety in their game?
>>11643231>why won't TT ban the main bey in an expensive deck set? They may be trying to keep things fair, but they're still a business.
>>11643236how about a thing called testing? ever think of that? do they even bother?
>>11643264They thought it was a good idea to release Wizard Rod only 8 months into a new generation's life cycle and it's been the best blade in the game for two and a half years since.
>>11643273So no, they don't test. Weird.
>>11643231Honestly no reason to, especially when Rod was way worse and never got the ban. Is Scale strong as fuck? Sure, but it's not like there aren't plenty of counters. What I really wish is that there was more counter-pick play in official formats. Some locals have been playing around with pick 5/ban 2 formats or similar variants and I think there's a lot of potential there, because it would force people to make actual decisions about what they're picking against their specific opponent and fuck over people who just rely on the exact same 3 meta builds every time.
>>11643264I'm thinking about this more from the mindset of a TCG player but I think you can chalk up any broken beyblade release to a handful of reasons>the dozen or so testers they might have ultimately missed an insanely OP combo that will inevitably arise when your product is in the hands of tens of thousands of users>they figured it "wasn't that bad" and said tens of thousands of users would be able to keep it under control>they knew but released it anyway because they're actively powercreeping the entire game because they gotta sell product>they didn't really give a shit because despite how much TT does push this line in particular as a competitive scene, it is still, ultimately, a toy
>>11643130That's a weird way of saying 'awesome because it's a fucking shark'.
>>11643288>pick 5/ban 2This is extremely based and should be adopted for official tournaments, especially if it's opponent's choice.
>>11644020>A bit of Dragoon, Drago, and Longinus.A dangerous combo.

I'm planning on getting some beyblades for me and my son. I really like the look of the fox brush and crimson garuda, but I read somewhere that the different lines aren't really well matched against one another. Is this true? Also, how sturdy are the string launchers?
Recently acquired this, what are some good builds?I'm currently rolling dual 7-60 H. But I feel like there's a better build out there, in particular I'm not too sure about the assist blade
>>11645187like most things in life, you shouldn't take the word of people discussing the meta to have any sort of relevance in casual play. CX's suffer against something like wizrod or shark scale in a tournament setting but like, a dad and his son fucking around in the bathtub cause they didn't want to buy an X stadium? just pick whatever you like.>Also, how sturdy are the string launchers?ok those are like actually terrible, and not in a "you can perform better with X Y Z technique" way and more in a "they will literally break on you within a few hours" way. the little dinky launchers the western releases come bundled with are also pretty terrible; pretty sure you can get the proper winder launchers (pic related) on amazon or even in-store at something like target if you're lucky.
>>11645195>"they will literally break on you within a few hours"The fuck are you talking about, Hulk Retardo? People regularly use string launchers in tournament play and wail on them hard as fuck without destroying them.
>>11645195>ok those are like actually terrible>they will literally break on you within a few hoursAlmost every pro player uses string, especially in Asia where everyone goes to multiple events every weekend. String launchers only break if you treat them like a lawnmower instead of letting go of the string like you're supposed to.>>11645187I've exclusively used string since Metal Fight and I've only ever had two break. I've broken 3 X winder launchers in a month before because the revolution counter inside ground its seat down so much that the ripcord wouldn't pull anymore. String lasts way longer.
Watching the burst anime again and I'm like 100% convinced they saw how Valt would ride the outside edge to attack, and thought it was the coolest shit, and made the new system something that did that on purpose.
>>11645243this has been a thing since plastic gen with the tornado attack stadium having a ridge that allowed beyblades to ride it or "tornado stall", as well as making flower patterning easier
Every time I check the Beyblade reddit, it's always posts like>"I just spent $200 on all of this. Is any of it good? I don't know anything about what I've bought, what to do with it, or how to find out for myself. Please spoonfeed me information I won't understand."
I've heard that X beys can fit in this thing, so I've thought about turning one of them into a deck box. Can any Kamen Rider fans confirm?
>>11645239>>11645220>>11645195Interesting to hear that there is no general consensus about the string launchers. I think I might take my chances and get some. If it breaks, I'll go buy the old school winders. I was planning on getting a proper Takara Tomy stadium, but don't really care about the top "meta" combos. Plus, most physical stores don't even stock wizard rod, or they are super over priced online. I just wanted to make sure that the plastic parts on the newer CX beys that look like they sit up quite high don't get trashed by the lower sitting BX series.
>>11645894>Interesting to hear that there is no general consensus about the string launchers.Yes there is, they're fine and lot of people prefer them over winders. The retard saying they break all the time probably has down syndrome and also kills rabbits when he pets them.
>>11645894They're fine but I never use them because I hate how the string slaps me when I do the light pinch method, and I can't rip as hard without it.
>>11645963the string launcher looked appealing to me because from what i remember (back in the days of the bakuten shoot beys), the rip cords would bend/snap, and the friction would cause the ripcord slots to wear over time if you accidentally pulled them on an angle
>>11645783Capsems are around the size of a small apple, so I'm 99% sure it would work, they would rattle around a lot though.>>11645969X ripcords are reinforced to hell, they have a much lower failure rate, they pretty much only break if your launcher fucks up, they do still slowly eat the edges of the slot though.
>>11646322Glad to hear they upgraded the ripcords. Are the internals of the launchers beefed up too? I remember so many broken launchers from back in the plastic gen days because all it would take is for a gear to break, or the tiny spring latch to fail.
>>11646600>Are the internals of the launchers beefed up too?X ripcord launchers break after a while too. The little black and white revolution counter on top is attached to one of the gears, and the friction can grind out the seat it sits in to keep the gear straight. When you go to pull, the cord pulls it out of place and snags, so it's pretty much unusable. If you ever notice white dust around the hole or the seams of the launcher prongs, that's what's happening.
>>11646610>and the friction can grind out the seat it sits in to keep the gear straight. When you go to pull, the cord pulls it out of place and snags, so it's pretty much unusable.I wonder if a metal seat or some lubricant would fix that.
So, here is what I have settled on purchasing:- TT battle entry set C (comes with DranBrave and PerseusDark)- TT String launcher- TT CrimsonGaruda 4-70TP What I'm on the fence about:- Hasbro StingUnicorn 5-60GP - Hasbro BrushFox J9-70GR
>>11647510Is this gonna be the first stuff you're purchasing? DranBrave and PerseusDark are both fairly meh and you can get the TT offical stadium from amazon US now, so I'm not sure I'd recommend the battle entry set, likewise for a string launcher you could just grab the Hasbro red PhoenixWing that comes with the string launcher and get a good bey with it.I guess the big upside to the battle entry set is getting a couple winder launchers with it, but at that point I'd at least recommend the U set since you get a WizRod and 1-60 out of that.
>>11647524Wizrod is out of stock everywhere, and if I buy on ebay or amazon, the shipping is horrific. If I do see it in a ship, I will definitely be picking one up. The reason I opted for the entry set was because the other stadium options I have available are the green hasbro one, the super expensive motorised one, and the hasbro one that comes with the mammoth bey. Again, amazon and ebay aren't really an option due to the ridiculous shipping costs and currency conversion. Phoenix wing does look cool, but I'm not too keen on the coloured metal beys because the paint will eventually chip off and look bad. This is the main reason why I reluctantly passed on getting the dranzer, drigger, draciel, and dragoon beyblade x versions.
>>11647536>Wizrod is out of stock everywhereWhat do you mean, I was talking about buying the TT Battle Entry Set U instead of the C one, that set comes with WizRod as one of the beys. Where were you planning to buy the battle set from?
>>11647750Its actually bloody difficult to find any physical shops that stock the proper stadiums. The only TT stadium I can get is the entry set C. I had a look at the green hasbro stadiums, but they're so cheap and flimsy. They also don't have a cover, so I can't see that getting the seal of approval from the wife if I want to buy it for my son.
>>11647760https://beysandbricks.com/takara-tomy-beyblade-x-battle-entry-set-u-w-stadium-ux-04/
>>11647762Unfortunately, I'm not based in the USA, so shipping and the currency exchange rates would make this astronomically expensive
>>11647783I think you should have stated where you are based. I live in Spain, so all we have are drop attack, portable, green cube and original Hasbro. We got a really small batch of the TT one shipped by Hasbro on Amazon for 50€, and also the wide one for 70€ (though it lasted much more and we even got a discount down to 40€ on black Friday). In my situation, I have to talk with two other people to get one each so we end paying just under 50 each for the TT. If you are in Europe, you might have a similar situation, so get some stuff from local toy stores, Amazon and then import the stadium together with someone to split the shipping/taxes (and maybe get some beys as well).
under rush
>>11651967There's no way that 9-60 will be translucent and actually look good. It'll be the same ugly, opaque colors as the blade.
Am I just looking in the wrong places, or is the green stadium just not available for cheap? I had wanted to find something to use until I decided to pull the trigger on an official tournament grade arena. But it looks like my only options under $50 are the drop attack or folding ones.
>>11652424This isn't worth any amount of money you'd pay for it. It doesn't work the way the actual stadium does and you won't benefit from having it. Instead of wasting your money on garbage, just put what you'd spend on this toward the real stadium.
>>11652424what >>11652434 said but I'll offer some suggestions from personal experience when I wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger myself. Check your local Ollie's if you got one (any clearance outlet will work, really), odds are you can find some Burst-era plastic tubs for next to nothing. Failing that just buy an old storage tote or even some large tupperware at a goodwill. Something you don't mind ruining. None of these compare to having a proper arena of course, but it's better than tearing holes in your bathtub like the old meme.
New pics of the upcoming 2-packs. Viking is a retool of Hammer. Nice that there is another way to get LR
>>11653046>Hasbro removed the green Hexa from Ghost CircleWhat the fuck? Why?
>>11653051This is a part change that is honestly for the better. LR is harder to get than Hexa
>>11653051I believe hasbro is like a dog and they just sort of do things arbitrarily.
>>11652434>>11652634I did go for the Ollie's route. They had a 40% off all toys, including a red beyblade arena. It was $2.50 and now I can keep my bathroom safe from the dran sword. : )
i’m thinking of saying fuck it and just buying a valkyrie off of mercari japan and paying the tariffs instead of trying to win one myself, which proxy service should i use? i’ve always used buyee but I hear people say that one’s shit now, is there a better option?
Hey /toy/, my son was wanting the Spiderman and Venom beyblades for xmas, are they any good? Him and his sister watched the anime for X and are wanting to get into it, should I get it for them or some non character ones?
>>11653714iirc venom is a retooling of shark edge which is pretty good, dunno about spiderman but just looking at that pic it's probably viper tail which is kinda midbut really if they say "I want spiderman" you should get them spiderman, if you really want to get them competitively good ones that should be in addition not as a replacement. see if you can find wizard rod (either's good but the green one has a better bit included) and silver wolf
>>11653714I've mained both of them in my competitive decks pretty regularly for a while now just cause I'm a huge Spideyfag.Spider-Man is honestly not very good unfortunately, though I have had some decent results on him with weird builds and just counter-picking and launch tech. Venom is decent. He's a retool of DranSword but is generally heavier and has a slightly better shape for attacking. I run him on 3-60 L usually and he does respectably, though often gets edged out by more meta shit as is to be expected. For a kid who's a Spidey fan, it's a decent set and it comes with some pretty alright parts so I'd say worth grabbing. Sucks that the new set coming with Miles and Goblin is gonna be dogshit because Hasbro is retarded enough to do TWO DIFFERENT ARROW RETOOLS IN THE SAME GOD DAMNED PACK.
>>11653072I'd rather get the green hexa from hasbro than having to import a green ghost circle for at least twice the price of importing impact drake.>Import Ghost circle: paying 60+ dollars for a green hexa>import Impact Drake: paying ~35 dollars for nothing but good parts, and a string launcherNah I'm with >>11653051 hasbro is fucking retarded.

Maybe when I travel to the mainland next time.
>>11654735>I'm so tempted to steal anything from a big toy store.just speaking as a wagie working retail myself, please don't. >>11654911>but I hate going inside Walmart's in my area.Same here, but the way toy departments are ran these days makes me fucking weep
So, how do you guys feel about the new Phoenix releases?
>>11655322I get that there's probably some part of their contract that says they cant' use the more limited releases for feather (or they just didn't feel like recoloring ratchets/bits for it) and they probably didn't wanna use the painted version of rudder in a standard release, but it still feels kinda lame/redundant to just use the black alts for both in the same wave.
>>11655322>$15 starters for the worst pulls in their respective random boostersThey should've been normal Hasbro boosters. Why would they release these first instead of the yellow Leon Claw with Elevate, or the yellow Whale Wave with 7-60 Kick? No one is going buy these.
