There was a new Super7 interview
>There's a third army builder 3-pack coming to BigBadToyStore some time soon.
>There's another comic-pack coming, but it's not a figure based off issue #3. It's a later issue and the figure is a deeper cut it sounds like.
>The pack-in comics will start having more unique content like the first issue to encourage people to collect the reprints.
>There will be at least 3 comic-packs a year, likely based on how well they do.
>Next year they'll put out tons of figures connected to the movie's 40th Anniversary.
>There's another vehicle next year, and it's been described as a classic vehicle, but at the same time something that hasn't been made before. Unsure if that means a Sunbow version of a classic vehicle, such as the Hiss Tank, or if it's something movie related, because they did discuss the movie.
>Wants to do all the winter outfits for the movie characters.
>Ninja Force is an on-going Target exclusive line, that was originally going to be a Super7 website exclusive. However Target wanted even more store exclusives because Joe is selling so well, that they're doing both Ninja Force and Tiger Force/Python Patrol.
>Ninja Force is sort of treated like TMNT where it's all about what if different characters had had ninja versions during the 90's.
>The upcoming Snake Armor is an articulated figure and doesn't hold a figure inside. It's based off how in the cartoon they were used as robots.
>There will be something new shown off for NYCC as part of Walmart's online event; likely a new Walmart exclusive.
>Visionaries sold extremely well, however Hasbro made them put the line on hold, because there's a rights dispute on the license, perhaps because of all the shared universe stuff Hasbro's been doing. It sounds like it'll eventually be resolved, but no idea when.
>They're also trying to make Inhumanoids, but there's a major license dispute with it, since Hasbro let the IP die.
>>
>>11907866
A few more things to add:
>Kwinn and Raven are in the works in the line, it's just a matter of where to fit them in, because of how many different areas of the brand they're focusing on with limited character slots per wave.
>Army builder 3-packs will also be based on a previous single carded released figure, so the next one would either have to be Comic-book B.A.T., Hydro Viper or Viper Gunner. This is to ensure that single carded collectors will not need to buy the 3-packs. So no Sunbow B.A.T. or Cobra Trooper until they have a single carded release.
>Let slip that the Fatal Fluffy set originally contained a small Fluffy figure.

>when there's a whole lot of regular figures that they still haven't done yet.
They specifically say in the interview when road-mapping the line that no two Joe fans want the same thing, so they're spreading things out a little in each wave. In past interviews they said they treated Reaction+ as a continuation of Reaction, so they weren't in a hurry to revisit core characters immediately during the first year, which is why it focused so hard on movie characters, because that's where Reaction left off. They said some people also want characters that were never produced, or ideas for cancelled figures from the vintage line, or comic-book versions, or core characters, or major characters in alternate outfits. Or brand new concepts like Ninja Force Destro. They said for example they're doing Kwinn and Raven, and the rest of Cold Slither, and they have to produce tie-ins with the 40th Anniversary of the Joe movie, so it only leaves so many character slots per wave to try and and make it appeal a little to everyone.

The line's moving really quick, but I could stand to see a few more core versions of characters. We're only just now getting Shipwreck and Flint, but they're only overseas right now.

>>11907970
Brian Flynn said in the interview that he wants to have all the Cobra characters in their winter gear, like the Dreadnoks and Dr. Mindbender.

Mainframe #178 showed up at one of my local Ross stores today, they only had the one and it wasn't a neighborhood I am in regularly so I grabbed it. But given that Walmart had if for as little as $20 and a pal mentioned he had gotten a yellow tagged one in Denver for $10, I suspect more will show up. Was too tired then and am too lazy now to take a photo.

I just got one of their 1.5 wave figures and was honestly kind of surprised to find out it actually was supposed to be a robot. Didn't notice it in the pics and it wasn't until I saw the faceplate swapping gimmick. But after seeing the bot head, the arms and legs both jumped out at being mechanical. Still a cool figure with lots of motion. Feels way different from a Classified figure, but I don't know if it's a good or bad kind of different.

I got their Bob on order, so hopefully he turns out just as nice as the first wave ones.

Also, related to robots, I *finally* got my Arctic BAT pre-order into my PoL. Damn thing took literal years to actually get rerun, but I guess this is the year to rerelease an Arctic figure. Still sad the three pack Arctic Cobra figures are just straight repaints with no new/mixed parts to make them actually feel arctic equipped. Had they actually done something interesting with them I might not have cancelled my Arctic HISS pre-order.

>>11909745

Hasbro on their way to be the SONY of the toy world. They've already stated they're pulling back on toys and trying to focus more on videogames and entertainment. At least they aren't stingy with licensing they IPs. Would be funny if Hasbro completely stops making GI Joe classified figures and license it to BOSS Fight or some other indy toy maker. They alreay letting S7 do the o-rings and JoyToy the 1/18 surper articulated GI Joes.

don't you mean Hiya or did Hiya lose the license?

That's really shit if Hasbro really cockblocked Hiya from releasing GI Joes in North America for 3 years and suddenly allowed another company to do that, especially since Hiya's figures are so great.
>>

Hiya fucked Hiya since they sat on like five/six figures while raking in preorder money for about three years while pathetically begging to let the do a global release instead of sticking to the terms of their contract. Hasbro should have voided the deal on the spot
>>
>>11910040
>hiya never should have tried to get the north american license
fuck you, retard.
This is why their figures ended up being fucking $30-40 (before shipping) instead of $20.

And fuck Hasbro for being too afraid of their Classified sales being even lower if they allowed Hiya to release their 1:18 GI Joe line to be sold in the only market place that matters.
>>
>>11909346
Kek mine just got "do you still want this order?" 'd. Not sure whats going on. Green Goblin delayed too.
>>
>>11910044
And why should people fucking sit with nothing while they waste their money on hookers and blow than delivering the figured people already fucking bought at import price, when they damn well knew they'd never be able to sell them at domestic retail?

Those faggots should have had the license revoked then and there as they knew the god damn terms of the deal, knew that they were still going to reach America anyway as import, but decided to fuck the customer over with no lube stealing their cash while not delivering the fucking figures.

Scam artists all around and should have had their company wholesale nuked from orbit destroyed by Hasbro for breach of contract to send a lesson to not scam GI Joe fans like they did

Getting into games now is stupid. It costs up to $300 million and takes up to a decade to make a single game. They should have taken it more seriously in the late 90s when a game studio could produce a premium title yearly and relatively cheaply.
>>
>>11909745
Good. She shouldn't have been the brand manager for something she clearly wasn't a big fan of. Maybe with her, Tony, and the other guy out of the way, they'll start being more responsive to what fans want to give them our money for instead of continuing the "we do what we want and we'll maybe eventually get something you like out."

We're in year 7 of the line, and the year's catalog is decided. No Firebat, polar battle bear, moccasin, and other stuff that should have been no-brainers. All we can hope is that year 8 rewards the patience.
>>
>>11910101
>And why should people fucking sit with nothing while they waste their money on hookers and blow
this is exactly why I call you a RETARD.
Hiya didn't waste anyone's money, because they completed everyone's orders... except for retailers in north america, because these retailers who went through official distributors overseas were cockblocked by Hasbro. Almost every store orders through distributors, because only giants like Target and Walmart have the capacity to order directly from toy makers and only if toy makers are large enough to have distribution capacities, which Hiya doesn't have.

You keep talking about "importing" but you're fucking clueless about how that works, since most retailers just deal with official distributors. Retailers don't just order shit as easily as retards like you do from Amazon or Walmart, but they sign contracts with distributors and they need to make MINIMUM orders. Since Hasbro was cockblocking reputable distributors from sending Hiya figures to North America, that means north american stores would need to order shit shady distributors that they didn't have accounts with and then they'd need to order OTHER shit to reach minimum requirements, despite undoubtedly getting better prices for imports from distributors who don't have Hasbro cockblocking them.
Yes, local (read: north american stores) stores import shit, so i rarely deal with shitty oversea shipping

So Hiya still made their toys, but since GI Joe isn't popular outside of North America, FEWER TOYS WERE MADE, and i don't mean they only made 20k figures. i mean the amount of characters that could be made into toys was diminished from weak demand. So they COULD have released a figure every single month if they hadn't been cockblocked by Hasbro

>b-b-but i didn't get my toys immediately when they went up for preorder
fuck you, retard. fucking zoomer, with no attention span and your need for immediate gratification. literal behavior of retards.
>>
>>11910334
>that picture

If you pay cheap shipping or get free shipping from China, then that's what you get, bro. Chang's not gonna knock himself out without you covering the cost for it.
>>
>>11910233
fun fact: i used to email the president of Hasbro Interactive in the late 90s.

Hasbro used to make shittyass video games, mostly board and puzzle games, and i used to coordinate video game related stuff for an internet community that later started doing shit for TV.

So Hasbro used to be balls deep with video games until the mid-00s. Since they made mostly shovelware, this is likely why they also eventually stopped making games, because people eventually stopped buying their shit.
>>
>>11910340
I remember their games, especially the shitty arcade-type GI Joe shit. And they did that right in the middle of MGS, Syphon Filter, Splinter Cell, and others when paramilitary games were peak popularity. It was mind-blowing levels of clusterfuck wasted opportunities.

Now it's expensive in terms of both time and money.
>>
>>11910335
>free
>from overseas
Sorry, but i've never shopped at alibaba or whatever cheapass places desperate poorfags use. Not my photo, btw.
And sometimes you're not even given a choice in shipping, because the shop does so little in overseas shipping or maybe too lazy to do better.
I once had a fucking Russian shop ship a large toy in a fucking plastic bag and the only padding was the open window cardboard packaging. A fucking miracle the toy was undamaged once it go to me a month later.

Seriously, i'd rather pay a couple bucks extra to buy from a local importer than deal with overseas shipping and all the crappy extra steps.

In the case of Hiya, I wish they had official north American distribution, so i could get prices that are 50-75% cheaper, free shipping, and a wider selection of figures, but nooooope, fucking Hasbro is afraid that people would choose the superior 1:18 line over their already poor selling Classified 1:12 line

Pretty cool week for me, I had to stop collecting but I do still buy the occasional figure and this week I got Airtight and the Major Bludd re release. Well considering the last 1:12 boat Hasbro put out rotted on shelves and hit discounts of up to 80% off at places like Amazon despite it being a *really* good toy, I can see why they'd hesitate to put out any more.

That said, even during the ME stuff, they didn't put out many boats. Just a handful of Moccasin repaints and some micro-sub deluxe sets that could also count as aircraft. The vast majority of naval craft I have at 1:18 came from the True Heroes or World Peacekeepers lines. Boats are rarely a priority for G.I. Joes.

What the fuck is a Techno Viper supposed to be anyway?
>>
>>11914993
They are SUPPOSED to be the grease monkeys, the garage/shop guys, pit crew and mechanics who fix and repair Cobra vehicles.

But in practice, they are actually treated as the evil computer/IT geeks of Cobra, in part because Hama got lazy and put them behind computers because "Techno=Computers" in peoples minds and their outfits being the exact opposite of what any self respecting chad thundercock mechanic would wear.

I don't get this hang up.
Just because the Technoviper showed up in one or five scenes doing some computer shit doesn't mean that they're not greasemonkeys.
They can multi-role, such as this scene where he's giving advice on a seige.

They're combat engineers and since Cobra has advanced (then) fururistic equipment, they need to know a lot about computers. So why not put them at the computers when there's nothing to fix? It's not like they're robots who can only be tasked with a single job. Even in video games, you can task Zerg drones and SCVs to do scouting jobs or even a bumrush to slow down an attack.
>>
>>11915057
These are Techno Vipers without their official uniforms on, because they don't need their armored helmets and bulletproof vests when working on the planes in the safetfy of an airfield.

Now that I look at him, Bison would be a fine start to a General Blitz from Sgt. Savage custom.
>>
>>11915895
You're missing the obvious.
At first glance, they look like a serious biker gang.
At second glance, they're Mad Max wannabes and Mad Max was a pretty serious movie series. Despite some weird armor choices and a few goofy scenes, they're supposed to look like serious threats.

It's only when you get into the lore that you understand that they're a joke.

This figure, right off the bat is LOL SO RANDUM XD. The saw, the gas mask, the book for dummies, and then the vet bumper sticker. It's completely ridiculous.
Even a Fortnite character looks less goofy and that's been the overall trend with modern GI Joe, because they put Transfags in charge of the line.

you're an obvious newfag and your wikipedia konwledge is also obvious (post a 50th or before era toy to prove you're not).

The fact is, you're missing the point of what made GI Joe so popular for decades.
Shit like the cartoon was silly retarded dreck, but the designs/toys themselves were tacticool awesomeness. You can completely ignore how retarded teh cartoon was and have a serious business paramilitary toyline. Even when their shit wasn't tacticool and introduced sillier characters, the designs themselves weren't silly. .. most times. There's a reason why Cobra La and dumber characters were hated for so long. Even then, most of the designs aren't any worse than something you saw out of an XMEn comic (Which are seen as cool/edgy/drama).

Transformers is far less serious, inherently so due to the whacky combinations and out of scaleness, but when GI Joe crossed over with TF, the designs didn't suddenly become silly.

So with newfags like yourself, it's no wonder crappy characters like Crystal Ball were given so much attention. And i guess people want to like this fortnite dreadnok too.
It's not my thing, and I'm just explaining how it's missing what made GI Joe relevant and cool for 50 years.

The cartoon was great and still holds up well today, especially the Sunbow stuff. It got darker than normal 80s cartoons with going as far as showing dead bodies. There are times when I like the cartoon more than I do Hama's "Vietnam and ninjas everywhere" comic books.

I must have been an overly cynical kid, because my hate for the cartoon started way back then.
I read a lot of books when i was a kid, so i could spot bad writing a mile away.

> still holds up well today
No it doesn't. GI Joe is specifically one of those cartoons that everyone thinks was better than it actually was.
It's one of the most mocked cartoons of all time because of how dumb it is. Characters like Serpentor got a ton of hate thanks to the cartoon making him an angry rainman.

The only thing deserving of praise were the designs and the memes that mock its own stupidity.
>>
>>11916390

You're showing how little you know about gi joe, because gi joe was literally dead for years.
After TRU died, there was no major outlet for GI Joes anymore and even the convention exclusives dried up.

Classified coming back was a struggle, because the fandom needed to eat the shit sandwich or face GI Joe dying again. There was a lot disinterest for the Classified design, so much so that Hasbro basically killed the Classified reboot and just switched to making mostly nostalgiafag shit, because the movie also bombed.
Sales were very poor and kept droppign every year, hence the toyline becoming a mainstay at Ross.
>>

So I genuinely don't know what you're getting at. Just because people didn't like the astetic of the first few waves, doesn't mean the line is the failure you're making it out to be lol.
>>
>>11916428
>>ib4 not understanding why showing up at ross is a bad thing
Also, everything shows up at Ross nowadays. People are reportedly finding a $90 SDCC Exclusive Transformer for like $40. I've gotten numerous GI Joes, Marvel Legends, TFs, and Star Wars figs at Ross. Hell, Todd McFarlane even has a little subline of his dying DC Multiverse line that is exclusive to Ross, reissues of figures slapped on a cardback and stripped of the accessories the original came with. I suppose Marvel Legends is dying because I totally just saw the two Inhumans 2 packs and the Gladiator/Death Bird 2 pack. (I picked up the Gladiator/Death Bird pack),

The 25th anniversary sold well and was heavily driven by cheap reissues of vintage vehicles that had gotten pricey. It fell apart after that, and with the help of the two crappy movies.

>>11916391
I disagree completely. Out of all 80s cartoons it's the least "kiddy" and the designs of everything still hold up well to where Hasbro can still use 40-year-old figure and vehicle designs to make money today.

Lets pretend you haven't seen the leak and don't know who's coming up next. Can you guess who this is supposed to be? If not, then its a failure of design. Getting rid of a characters iconic equipment even if it is silly whiteout a recognizable replacement ruins the uniqueness of the character.

Sneak Peak.

Periscopes are so 1980s. Having a drone is 21st century.
>>
>>11916565
Ninjas are so 15th century. We need to update all of them with bullpup rifiles and standard tactical armor.
>>
>>11916582
There was no way they were ever going to release a modern non-retro Sneak Peak with the dopey periscope.

The same as Psyche-Out with satellite dishes. It’s been 40 years, equipment is going to evolve. Hasbro knows they’re not going to attract Jimmy 10 year old with an army man holding a 300 lb obsolete periscope when he could have a small drone.
>>
>>11916562
The periscope was comically over-sized, and even looked stupid in 1987. There's no way anyone could carry it around on a battlefield.

>>11916586
They didn't have soldiers with radar dishes on their wrists while wearing flourescent green military wear in the 1980s. That whole year was Hasbro realizing that the Gen-X kids who were the market in 1982 - 1986 were at the age of outgrowing it, so they decided to pander to the next generatin of kids with bright colors and goofy gimmicks.
>>
>>11916586
jimmy isn’t buying a $30 classified anyway boss
>>
I wouldn't have bought one with the periscope either, but that's not the point. Joes all have something about them that's unique, whether is outdated or goofy, its their own, and you can easily tell who's who at a glance. If you start taking away their unique features, then it just becomes a generic army guy line. If they didn't want to make Sneak Peak, then they didn't have to. They could have used that slot for one of the other dozens of Joes they haven't made yet. If they start doing this with more characters especially ones people care about, then its going to stop being a GI Joe line, and just be another generic slop line from Bobby Vala.
>>
>>11916602
Totally disagree

>>11916602

>if you disagree with me you're a bad person and only a single person has ever disagreed with me
literal cult behavior
And i'd like to point out that i never said that the GI Joe would be dead in two weeks until Hasbro started firing its GI Joe team. So if anyone noticed that the GI Joe line was too easy to find at Ross and thought the line would be dead within the next year, they're not wrong to assume that, but it wasn't me (until this year).

>>11916448
A toyline showing up at Ross is always a bad thing. So if something popular does show up, it means a wave sold poorly. How bad that is, depends on what shows up and how often. So stuff like Marvel Legends might show up, but not every single wave like GI Joe almost did. I would have thought GI Joe was dead after the movie bombed and showed up at Ross, but i noticed that they were still announcing a lot of shit and had future plans.
So it's obvious that Hasbro was canceling GI Joe but with lowered sales expectations. And every year, they seem to lower those sales expectations, because the toyline keeps showing up on a regular basis at Ross. So everytime time GI Joe shows up at Ross, that means stores are going to lower order numbers for the next wave (this is how retail works). So it's been almost 7 years straights of a sales line going down, which would normally gotten Hasbro to have canceled the line.
Yet i didn't say anything about the line dying until this year, when the design team got fired, projects delayed/canceled, which means less product is going to get made and they're rationing out what's already produced because the line is probably dead. We won't know until SDCC next year, due to how long it takes for products to be actually made.

pic is a dead line, where everything produced showed up at ross (like GI Joe Classified) but nothing new was being announced for the future.

SOME Classified shows at Ross/Ollie's. Not all of it. Ones like battle armor CC, Zartan, Crystal Ball, Baroness, and others were long gone before they could be moved to secondary clearance. The line is full of hits and misses. The misses naturally don't sell as well.
>>
>>11916719
>but not every single wave like GI Joe almost did
I wish every single wave of Joes hit Ross, but that just isn't true and you can't actually prove it. Also why does non of your inane logic apply to Black Series or Marvel Legends or Transformers, but only GI Joe? It's because you're a retard, that's why. Go back to pretending to own a business you dork.
>>
>>11916776
>MOST Classified showed up at Ross/Ollie's
fixed that for you. There's just too many misses with the Classified line, even stuff that excites the fans.

Exclusives need to sell REALLY poorly for them to show up at Ross/Ollies, due to how few of them stores actually order.

>>11916822
Nearly every single wave showed up. You can find people reporting shit on youtube and forums. Obviously, some characters are just going to sell out.

>Also why does non of your inane logic apply to Black Series or Marvel Legends or Transformers, but only GI Joe?
Did you even read what i said, retard? there's a reason why i call you a retard in the first place.

Ross/Ollies will skip entire years of Marvel Legends, and other popular lines, due to these lines actually being popular.
Most times, you can literally foretell how they'll sell, since unpopular movie waves clog shelves, which means the waves before and after can sometimes be affected by clogged shelves (plus the unpopular movie waves) which causes them to show up at Ross.

>It fell apart after that
wat
It only fell apart AFTER the sequel movie was delayed. So all the years from the 25th (2007?) til 2012, it got FULL retailer support. From KMart to Amazon. Every single major retailer carried GI Joe, in every state, in every city. It was so popular that drug stores with their nearly nonexistant toy aisles carried it, which is a big tell-tale sign of good sales (this was before Hasbro and McFarlane made deals with walgreens).
When the sequel was delayed, that basically killed Target and WAlmart's interest in the gI Joe line, because they were stuck with a ton of stock that they over ordered due to it being a movie toyline. Hasbro tried to make good with them, but retailers were so pissed that they basically dropped the line thereafter.

TRU was the only major retailer who wanted to keep supporting GI Joe afterward, because sales were still great. Indie stores carried it too, but it was heavily advertised as a TRU toyline until TRU died.

>Production has gone up almost every year since its inception
More releases ≠ production going up. They can make 53 figures a year but only sell 100k units. without a doubt, the first two years were in the millions sales range, despite having fewer figures. initial and movie waves are always the high points for a toyline.
And again, you can tell that sales went down due to the fact that so many waves showed up at Ross/Ollies, plus the fact that GI Joe hasn't had full retailer support since the movie bombed. And every year since, fewer walmarts/targets carried the line.
Nevermind the fact that they've fired their design team. Nevermind their ex-current design team existed after the design team from the dropped Classified (design-wise) line and movie line were let go in 2021. Successful lines don't just let go of their workers.

>It only fell apart AFTER the sequel movie was delayed. So all the years from the 25th (2007?) til 2012, it got FULL retailer support.

Outside of 25th Anni, most of the later lines only lasted a few waves, with PoC probably being the second-longest running line, and PoC along with 30th Anni/Renegades was the high point the 3.75" ME figures. Retaliation line was a clusterfuck until after wave 3 or so. Nobody liked the Rise of Cobra aesthetic.

Hasbro has had such shit distribution for nearly two decades that nearly every line got about 3-4 waves in, and then limped along while the later waves only trickled in, which was ironic, since most of the waves better figures only came in around wave 3 or 4 and onwards, but every other year a line would get cancelled with a glut of unreleased prototypes left on the table, and some of them would get dumped into the next line unceremoniously.

Hasbro also had so little faith in the ME lines that most of the weirder or more obscure stuff only got released as overpriced, low production fanclub offerings.

The ME stuff had way more failings and shortcomings than your rose-tinted glasses want to remember. The whole of all the combined lines had maybe like three good years.
>>
>>11917089
>most of the later lines only lasted a few waves
It's just a theme.
With the Marvel Universe line, there were the Fury Files, HAmmer Files, and whatever the later ones were called. The MU line was so successful that HAsbro had to sabotaged in its last year, because they wanted everyone to buy the more expensive ML line.
The 25th+ GI Joe in itself was successful throughout until Walmart got pissed off with the sequel's delay. Even the first movie line not quite gettign everything out, it was still hugely successful for Hasbro. IT just didn't get that Cherry ontop by continuing on like they wanted to, which was for the best.

And just so you know, it takes a pretty long time for them to actually tally numbers. So the fact is, stuff like Renegades needed to be planned out 14 months ahead of time. There's about a year of delay when something is put into production and actually getting sales data on it. This is why the first movie's last wave suddenly became a ross exclusive and there was a delay in releasing PoC, due to needing to rename/redesign some stuff.
And those Renegade figures that were made in 2011? Literally planned to be just those, because they were getting ready for the sequel shit the next year. So not even the cartoon ratings influenced their decision in limiting the amount of figures that got produced.

That vehicle you posted? that's from stores starting to cut back on ordering/stocking vehicles. Even star Wars was hit by that.

Also, what's ME?
>>
>>11917100
>Also, what's ME?
"Modern Era." Its generally what people referred to the 25th Anni line and onward, essentially the updated 3.75" figures as opposed to the o-ring vintage era 3.75s.

>And those Renegade figures that were made in 2011? Literally planned to be just those, because they were getting ready for the sequel shit the next year. So not even the cartoon ratings influenced their decision in limiting the amount of figures that got produced.

The Renegades stuff was definitely intentionally limited since it shared the line with the 30th Anni stuff, and I still remember the two together having the "30 for 30" tagline, where they intentionally planned out 30 figures for the two lines together.

All of the other lines you could conceivably believe they could have continued on forever assuming the demand was there. Even the two movie lines just had figures unrelated to the movies added in, which eventually just sort of shifted into PoC as something of an intentional followup line to the RoC line.

Posting screenshots and photos? ... but then, I am in a thread claiming I'm doing revisiing history, because they forgot how disliked the Classified designs were, ignoring that those designers needed to get replaced due to poor sales, the Classified designs being dropped, and how most of it ended up on clearance....
I mean, here you are, trying to change my own words from "nearly every wave" to "every single wave hit ross"
You're extremely dishonest, because you don't like that I'm not drinking your Kool Aid.

>All of the other lines you could conceivably believe they could have continued on forever assuming the demand was there.
By design, those "lines" are just themes to keep kids interested in the toylines. Same shit with Spy Troopers, Venom Vs Valor, and many others that were created every year. None of them are because they sold poorly, because they're basically just storylines to grab your attention. Same shit with 25th, 30th, 50th, etc.

Again, 25th+ GI Joe was very popular until the second movie and it was basically a technical error that killed it as a major toyline in 2012/2013. Whereas Classified was a fuck up almost right away and it's Hasbro/retailers accepting below standard sales that kept it alive. Any other line would have been killed off after the movie and its toys bombed. Nevermind the ongoing dumping of stock every year.
>>
>>11917141

You can't retroactively prove something stupid. If it's so easy, why are you so afraid to just prove me wrong right now?

>You're extremely dishonest, because you don't like that I'm not drinking your Kool Aid.
This is the kind of wordplay and gaslighting that people who have no leg to stand on use in order to try and convince others they're right without actually proving anything.

The rest of your post isn't even in response to me so I don't know what you're smoking.

Yeah, and classified launched during a global pandemic where people were barely allowed to go to stores or work for months, and the movie (as bad as it was) was also delayed because of said pandemic not once, but twice, because people weren't allowed to go to movie theaters.

And they changed the line after the first couple waves because crybabies who don't like anything different were mad because the line wasn't 1:1 to the old designs. Hasbro pushed through because there was a time when businesses took risks on something new and putting GI Joe in a new scale was probably a risk they were willing to take and it paid off since we're still here 7 years later getting more stuff.
>>
>>11917029
Not even close to true. You're showing examples that weren't hits while pretending that they're the majority. If the line was struggling then they wouldn't have increased the number of releases almost every year since the line started. You're just desperate to believe that a line that's been going for seven years has failed for whatever reason.
>>
>>11917148
>your pictures of gi joes on clearance at ross/ollies aren't proof despite being the exact proof I'm asking for and despite knowing how long you've been posting in these threads I'm going to pretend I'm ignorant of your posts

>>11917152
it doesn't matter that Classified launch during the pandemic, because everyone here was stil trying to buy toys like normal and these threads weren't positive about the Classified designs. And i certaintly don't see anyone still holding out for unreleased shit, like >>11917089 posted.
I can't believe anyone cares about Classified except to act like a contrarian, so don't act like only nostalgiafags were bitching about it. And I'm not saying that people hated the Classified designs, just that literally who cares, and that's why nobody gives a shit that they even fired the guys who made them.

>>11917153
>they wouldn't have increased the number of releases
If sales are dropping, it's a very common practice to release more shit. This is why there's been many exclusives too, because it ensures a retailer will order more products and the exclusives are also ordered at a minimum number.
These are desperation tactics. More releases ≠ production going up.

>failed for whatever reason
Logical reasons:
A movie and it's toylines bombing.
It's 6 years straight of multiple waves per year being dumped at ross/marshalls/etc.
Continous retailer support waning.
Two instances of Hasbro firing their employeess in charge of the toyline.
The 1st reason would have been enough to kill any toyline.
The 2nd reason kills toylines. 6 years straight at the level gI Joe gets dumped is insane.
The 3rd reason also kills toylines.
The 4th reason is damning. Not many people noticed when the design team changed the first time, but the second time, without replacement, is a sure sign of death.

>keep drinking that kool aid, cultist. I can't even pretend you're a Hasbro employee, because they wouldn't hire a retard like you

You cherry-pick the flops to present absolutes, and that's bullshit. Even the original Star Wars had pegwarmers like Rancor Keeper and Gamorrean Guard.

The line is producing more each year. That's not something that a failing line would do. You're just here to piss on people and start shit (as always).

>if you can't post actually popular figures, then Ross didn't get in 90% of the Classified toyline in their shelves
Retard logic.

And you don't even seem to understand how Ross works. Shit needs to shelf warm almost an entire year, after being clearanced off by stores, before they get the unsold overstock. This is why almost year old waves show up at Ross, so if Overkill or Hit and Run sold poorly, tehy won't show up until next year. Something needs to sell extremely poorly or distributors completely clogged for something newer to show up at Ross in less than 6-9 months.
Since you don't know how Ross works, you're probably our resident dirty third worlder who's never stepped inside one, so you don't even know how America works.

>The line is producing more each year.
Again: More releases ≠ sales going up.
I'll use a nerd example of how Marvel was making a ton of comics, despite sales going down year after year and going bankrupt in 1996. They were trying to recreate their best years in the early 90s, but they just published a lot of embarassing #1s at poor sales.

>>11917764
Ross doesn't give a shit who buys their overstock. The fact that they're no longer $5 is because GI Joes aren't under $25 anymore. Nevermind most of the stock they got from GI Joe was when it was heavily clearanced at Walmart/Target/etc. Ross usually only knows the retailer's price and Ross then prices it at half off of that.
So that should give you a hint at how poorly GI Joe was selling at normal retail and for how long the line was selling poorly.

That's not the new retro version, and is the original. Scroll up to the retro one shown. That one also has all the silver parts as well as brown shoulder strap painted in gold.

Seriously, are you a retard, tihird worlder, or a child?
You have no understanding of how bad stock getting dumped at Ross is, especially when it's happening for 6 years in a row.
That's unsold stock, even if it were entirely "pegwarmers", which it isn't, because entire waves are dumped.

Nevermind the fact that that firing their design team (TWICE) confirms sales were poor
Nevermind an increasing number of stores over the years not carrying the line also confirms sales are poor.
Nevermind they had to change the direction of the Classified line (they gave up on the reboot designs) too, which is also a sign of poor sales.

Hah, nice. Best girl.
>>
>>11919331
They didn't fire their design team. People chose to quit instead of moving when Hasbro moved. Did you even follow that, or did you make up your own series of events to fit your narrative?

At this point you should realize that everything he posts is a leap of logic, blatantly untrue, classic schizo conspiracy theory, or something that can be disproven by just walking into a store.

He is the embodiment of "don't trust your own eyes or experiences, trust me, some rando on the internet."

Canonizing the idea that Disp Tone, Shipwreck, Roadblock, and Snake Eyes got turned into humanoid turtles and after losing a couple of feet in height in a shrink ray accident, Cobra Commander stole elements of Shredder's outfit, plus henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady and the patronage of Krang and became Ninja Force Cobra Commander

>Did you even follow that
Of course I did, but you obviously didn't and because you're either retarded or a child, so you probably won't understand half the shit I'm going to spoon feed to you:

Hasbro's new headquarters is fifteen minutes away from Boss Fight Studio. So everyone who got fired (and it's not a coincidence so many GI Joe team members got fired during the same time period) didn't quit their job because Hasbro's too far away from them.
And yes, they got fired, but they did it nicely, so it doesn't look bad on their resume. Professionals who care about their career never want to get fired and don't want any years where they weren't working. Hasbro probably paid a bunch of people they would normally fire, to seek employment elsewhere. Big companies are pretty nice like this, hence being most people's dream job. Nobody wants to leave their dream job, especially one of the biggest boys toys toy company in the world.
And since Boss Fight Studio is made up of exHasbro employees, they offered the fired workers a job, so it won't look bad on their resume when they go apply to work for a better toy company.

But again, since you brain is undeveloped, you can't understand, just like you don't understand the fact that stock getting dumped = stores order less in the future.
6 years straight of stock being dumped is 6 years of diminishing orders.
Two teams have already been fired from gI Joe and they currently aren't filling in every position.
The Classifed reboot was dumped hence the first team getting dumped.
And over the years, fewer stores have stocked the GI Joe line.
But because you're a child, a retard, or a third worlder, all this shit isn't a bad thing or it didn't happen, despite everyone reporting on it happening.

So, why does this only apply for GI Joe but not Star Wars or Marvel or Transformers that have just as many items hitting Ross as GI Joe?
>>

It wouldn't take much to turn that into "Nevada Desert" Lara Croft.

>Snake Eyes got turned into humanoid turtles and after losing a couple of feet in height in a shrink ray accident,

the turtles are generally really short so you dont need a shrink ray explanation.
>>
>>11919974
The shrink ray is just to explain why CC is short. The Joes shrank because of the mutagen.
>>
>>11919871
I already explained it, retard.

The frequency of Marvel and Transformers is far less than GI Joe. Most times it coincided with the movie waves, which are supremely overordered, which means stores ordered so much shit that they profited heavily and any overstock that got dumped wasn't considered a loss.

Star Wars WAS almost just as bad for a time, but it seems like a lot of stores finally corrected started ordering the right amount.

Nevermind the fact that these lines are many times more popular and ordered in a much greater quantity than GI Joe on a regular basis, so like the movie lines, any overstock that gets dumped still isn't considered a loss.

It's really sad that the 1:12 GI Joe thraed is this full of little kids who don't understand business. We used to have oldfags who actively talked about the supply side in knowledgable ways.

>>11919926
Cope.
Not everyone who disagrees with you is samefag. Again, i never said it was over until 2026 and only after they fired their employees and shit got delayed.
They aren't replacing their employess, and since it takes over a year to produce a toy, that means nothing new is being produced for the next year. And sicne they delayed shit, they're actually trying to spread whatever products are already in production to fill out that emptiness.
>>
>>11920262
>The frequency of Marvel and Transformers is far less than GI Joe
That is just untrue. In fact, I'm more likely to see some random Age of the Primes Transformer than I am anything else.

>Most times it coincided with the movie waves, which are supremely overordered,
Most recent MLs to show up were a bunch of Fan Channel two packs, all comic based. Most recent TF found was the $90 SDCC exclusive which is based off of one of the cartoons. You're just wrong.

>Nevermind the fact that these lines are many times more popular and ordered in a much greater quantity than GI Joe on a regular basis
My stores order more Joes than they do Star Wars these days.

It's really sad how you've been barking this same argument for years and the line is still going. Wasn't it supposed to die like three years ago according to you? What goalpost movement are you going to justify it still going today?
>>
>>11920290
Transformers has like a bazillion toylines at once, while GI Joe has a single one action figure line and sometimes a vehicle.
Same with Marvel.

All one and a half of GI Joe's lines show up at Ross. pic related

Again, you're trying to compare a mountain out of mole hill. You're trying to pretend that 2 tons of soil erroding from the mountain is just as bad as the 2 tons of soil eroding from the mole hill.

GI Joe needs every penny of profit, whereas Marvel/Transformers/Star Wars can miss those pennies without even notcing it. Again, this is why so many Walmarts and now Targets no longer carry the line.

>My stores order more Joes than they do Star Wars these days.
prove it. Post the pegs there are for the Star Wars line and then the pegs for GI Joe.
Most stores DO NOT carry more stock in the back, peg space is shows how much stock is actually ordered.

also, post 50th or before GI Joes next to an electical socket to prove you're not some newfag collector, hence the only reason you want to pretend Classified is doing better than it actually is.

>What goalpost movement
none, retard. I haven't moved a single goalpost, while you're ignoring the fact you don't even understand how retail or businesses work. AGain, if GI Joe wasn't doing poorly, why fire their employees and not even replace them? Why delay products, if not to spread out all the missing products that won't be released due to not having employees to make future figures?

Again, you're pretending that stores are dumping stock and will continue ordering just as many units in the future if not more. Literal retard logic.
>>
>>11920342
>Transformers has like a bazillion toylines at once
I'm not counting the shitty movie tie in toy, or kid oriented TF, I'm referring to the Generations line, the main collector line. I see Studio Series, Age of the Primes, Legacy, and in the past Earthrise, Siege, Kingdom and others.

Again, you're trying to compare a mountain out of mole hill
God fucking damn LMAO!! That is not how you use that phrase. I love how you reveal you're an ESL retard when you do this. Be it with "diamond dozen" or "no nothing" or "doggy dog world". Holy shit my fucking sides.

>prove it. Post the pegs there are for the Star Wars line and then the pegs for GI Joe.
Make me bitch. If you went outside of your studio apartment more than once every six months, you'd see this.

>also, post 50th or before GI Joes next to an electical socket to prove you're not some newfag collector, hence the only reason you want to pretend Classified is doing better than it actually is.
I already did this months ago for you and you shut your bitch mouth, I'm not doing it again.

>I haven't moved a single goalpost
You've been saying this line has been on the verge of death for like four years now. Why hasn't it died yet if what you say is true?

>why fire their employees and not even replace them?
Hasbro has been cleaning house across the board, the Marvel Legends team lost a bunch of big names like Ryan Ting.

>Why delay products
What products have been delayed? If anything I've been getting Joes before their solicitation dates. I just got Rugged Duke and Lara a month early.

>Again, you're pretending that stores are dumping stock and will continue ordering just as many units in the future if not more
Seems to be what they're doing, not sure why it upsets you so much.
>>
>>11919482
Reminds me of Olga from MGS2. Wish someone in Hasbro would get the metal gear license beofre Todd McFarlane goes for it again. I admit his Solidus Snake figure is great, the rest of the line was lacking with it's preposed sculpting.
>>
>>11920402
>I already did this months ago for you
I have no idea who you are, hence asking to see some proof.
Considering the contrarian nature of your posts, i was assuming you're our resident third worlder, so refresh my memory on what was in the image.

>what you say is true
That's your schizoness pretending everyone who disagrees with you is samefag. For the fourth time this thread, i haven't said it was dead until this year.

>Make me bitch
You made the claim, but offer no proof. I've offered a ton of proof showing how GI Joe isn't found in a lot of walmarts anymore, by posting links to videos showing GI Joe is missing from pegs, proving it's a nationwide thing and not anecdotal. Tons of proof that Ross and Ollies over the years having dumped stock.
So do you ahve any proof or are you just our contrarian third worlder?

>Hasbro has been cleaning house across the board
Again, you're comparing a mountain to a mole hill (again, the fact that you're nitpicking at my typo makes me think youre a third worlder). The Marvel team is far larger than everyone else

>What products have been delayed?
that thunder machien for one

>Seems to be what they're doing
There's that contrarian attitude that makes me assume you're that dirty third worlder.
Again, it defied all logic that stores would dump stock and not lower orders to match what was actually sold. Nation wide chains like Ross, Burlington Coat Factory and Ollies aren't getting local stock.
Again, six years for seeing GI Joe products at Ross and Ollies = lower sales year after year after year after year after year, which is why so many WAlmart and Target stores not carrying GI Joe anymore.
>>
>>11920417
Getting a Sniper Wolf in this scale would be a dream come true. Also being a GI Joe making it the perfect compliment to her doll which is based on the 1964 Joes.
>>
>>11920459
>which is why so many WAlmart and Target stores not carrying GI Joe anymore.
Citation needed. All three of my local Targets have Joes and the two Walmarts I went to last week looking for Lara Croft had a literal shit ton of Joes at the big collector display with the dioramas. Shit, one store had Joes taking up half of the Hasbro side with Legends and TFs taking the other half and Star Wars relegated to the endcap of the display.
>>
>>11920714
My walmart has a ton of Joes but no one buys them until they hit clearance. Legacy Special Forces went half off last week and i grabbed two of them.
>>
>>11920714
I've posted multiple videos and links to forums before.
Do you want to pretend that you have no idea who i am to make me scrub through a couple videos to find them again? Because that makes you a stupid liar, which also means you've ignored facts that GI Joe has been such a poor seller and you'll ignore the facts again.

Anyway, links with text are easier to find. Read through the comments to find people talking about GI Joe missing here:
reddit /r/GIJOEClassifiedSeries/comments/1qyix6g/walmart_discontinuing_joes/
facebook groups/GIJoeClassified/posts/25251477151106679/

[oof, 4chan thinks this is spam so i've removed shit]

Again, this is the results of fewer people than ever carrying out GI Joe and stores dumping their stock at Ross/Ollies/etc. Stores less and less every year, to the point that some stores won'teven bother carrying it.
Again, this is why Hasbro fired their design team (for the second time) and haven't replaced everybody. A sure sign of death.
>>
>>11920417
She'd definitely make a good base for Olga. I'm of the mind to strip the camo and do a Sovoet amoeba pattern on it. I'd stripe the shirt if I could figure out a way to do them cleanly. She'd look good in a telnyashka.
