Some people anticipate Kris and Susie fighting due to the Roary Knight business, but I'm getting the vibe that Susie is ride or die with Kris unless it's some Weird Route soul shenanigans. Kris working with the "bad guy" was one of the bigger reveals of the recent chapters, but in the same vein those chapters also revealed that the Knight isn't the straightforward villain of the story, too. It seems more likely that we'll get lots of context for both Kris and the Knight, and knowing Toby it's safe to assume they will be sympathetic.Considering that our next plan of action will likely be trying to break the prophecy, the Gang working with the Knight in some capacity could be one avenue to shake things up. This is especially the case if Dess truly is the Knight, as that practically confirms some degree of reconciliation and cooperation between the parties. Well, unless we're really throwing Dess under the bus.I'm not saying there won't be drama, but I think people are still looking at Kris/the Knight with the same Chapter 1&2 lens. Recontextualizing the Knight's and Kris's goals seems the most obvious path forward, and it doesn't feel like the right environment for a friend vs. friend fight unless there's some SERIOUS misunderstandings going on. Susie would simply hold back even if she thought Kris had turned against her.IMO, I believe our true, dramatic Kris vs. Susie fight will be reserved for the Weird Route. It's the better environment for a high-stakes, violent fight between the two.

The inciting incident for their friendship was a setup from the start, and depending on what the prophesy panel Susie smashed was, it might be for nefarious reasons (my personal bet being Kris and Dess trying to save Noelle from being a sacrifice, thus substituting Susie for the role). Plus if that comes out, the difference between (You) and Kris will probably come out as well, and Susie has to question how much of her friendship is with us or is with Kris - with Kris having obviously and overtly sullying her trust, she will probably opt towards us. Plus it would be more time for Susie and Ralsei to be together, which is a thing that seems to be ongoing between them, getting way closer over time.That besides, ch 4 is obviously setting up a low point for ch 5 to follow up on. I suspect things will be patched up either at the end of ch 5 or the midpoint of ch 6, but by the end they will all be far closer, and there will be no more secrets between any of them.

I dunno, as much as Susie goes on and on about hating people lying about her she sure is quick to forgive them. And by fight I mean a literal fight, too. At best we'd get something like Vs. People assume it's Susie who will lose her cool and attack Kris first, but IMO Susie seems like the kind of person who'd just cope her way around what Kris is doing. If Kris says nothing, Susie will convince herself that the Knight is forcing Kris to work with them, and if Kris explains themselves then it's likely she'll cool down a little like every other person who's lied to her. If a fight happens it's because Kris starts it because they absolutely cannot allow Susie to discover something or w/e, though even that relies on ignoring their growing reluctance and how close they're becoming each chapter.The fandom's always assumed the most overdramatic stuff happens, like Susie becoming overwhelmingly depressed after she discovers the Darkners aren't real, or more importantly that we'll get a Megalovania Kris fight every other chapter, and I guess I'm just preaching temperance now. We'll get drama between Kris and Susie no doubt, but I still think the true big physical fight will be in the Weird Route.
