Once again going to apologize for the long wait, I don't really have an excuse this time, just the same old I lost my momentum and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be getting back into action. I just got to suck it up and force myself to write more otherwise I'm never going to get anything done so after this weekend (got family stuff going on/an unrelated project to finish up) I'm gonna try to hit the grindstone. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-c0GM7GsvqJ_acctVs_slp4HqWTTSPCJCSEa3BPJ_BA/edit?tab=t.0For Romeo a big part of the relationship even if unknowingly at this point he doesn't have to put up the same walls he does with others around her. Granted he's also a self-sabotaging idiot so he tests her, allowing her to get closer to the ugly parts of his world and when she doesn't turn tail and run he realizes it's the first real thing he's had. As for Alaska, while not trying to downplay her own feelings I would wager a good portion of relationship early on is that she's young and dumb, sure she also appreciates that Romeo is real with her but the excitement of the situation plays a role. At some level she believes that might makes right and Romeo is living in an extreme of that worldview while having just enough of a moral compass for her to excuse what he does and not look like a total monster. An older or more mature Alaska would never put up with him as he is currently, which is why I like their development down the line where they're maturing alongside each other and forcing each other to evaluate what's actually important to them.anyways it's the morning so I'm gonna drink before I have to go do family stuff.
