Mostly ignoring thread schizos also helped too.

My actual first time joining was at movie night, EVERYONE was in the VIP area (you had to request invite to get to the VIP area) ended up watching it alone in some corner. The actual welcoming came on a friday, it was a special karaoke instance in tribute to K, not really an oldfag to know who K is but I bet they're fun to be with.
Why didn't I moved on? Before sticking to VRFG instances I used to public hop, but being a ponyfag public people had their disgust (idk why normie furries hate bronies) so I went back to my roots of 4chan, never felt at home, never restricted, never filtered, I'll be your resident ponyfag, until the end.

QotT: My first instance was on Sunday. It was watch parties for Steven Universe. I grew up with the show and adored it so I figured I'd join. It was incredible from what I remember, the memory is fuzzy now but the sentiment remaining is warm and comfy. If i had to guess the lineup from memory, it'd probably be something like. Xog, PC, S_D, M_R, MK, EsO, CPR, MS, .T, and I. Some I only remember because of old screenshots.

I attended a few times and watched as a deskie with them. I was so terrified of talking so I rarely did. I actually missed half the first episode because I didn't know how to enable the video player. Human interaction was never my strong suit. I disappeared for five months about and on return became a proper headset user. It took me what I remember about a month or two to have a connection deeper than pleasantries and banter with the people here. Not complaining, I love my pleasantries but if anything anchored me and continues to do so, it's connections like these.

So why do I burden you with my existence? Dramatic blog post and sarcastic questions aside, this place has made me feel more human. I am an evolved individual to who I was before, and those to blame lie here and in my life. I cherish every moment, every second because I know these days will be the good days. I have learned so much from you all, have been given much more than I ever deserved. I hope only to repay this debt I feel so heavy. I will never forget my time here or the people who made it mean so much to me. This post is getting too long and gay. I don't know what to say. Thank you for being my friends. Unironically, CoR is very nice. But you have to get to the point where he views you as part of the "in" group. If you're event remotely considered new, you're going to have to fight an uphill battle. I think it's worth it, but the process can be challenging.
