Reposting this from /vrpg/ so AntagAnon can see itFinally got around to playing the /doe/ mod, so I'm gonna leave my thoughts here.The mod is good so far, but it has one major issue. It drags on. It opens with a non-interactive cutscene, that just keeps going. And in said cutscene there's a lot of slow dialogue and movements that you can't skip or speed up in any way. It makes the whole thing feel longer than it is, and not in a good way. The opening could really use some more interactivity, or could stand to be shortened to get to the interactive portion quicker. Alongside making the dialogue skippable and generally speeding up the flow of the cutscene. I know the stuff there is good, but it does more harm than good with how it damages the pacing.Then when I do get to the interactive portion, all the dialogue is way too long. Both in terms of having those same drawn out cutscene movements, and in terms of having too many lines. Deltarune tries to keep all its dialogue short and to the point, for the sake of pacing, and its great for that. This feels really slow, and I get the feeling it would be miserable to replay. Even in my first playthrough it had me getting impatient. Try rewriting lines to be shorted and making things move faster.Lastly, there's the ending portion. That *really* dragged on. I fast forwarded the text and read it in a couple seconds, then was forced to wait forever for the next one to show up. You should make the lines move as fast as the player makes them. You also desperately need to make pressing C properly skip through dialogue, its broken here and its absence is felt.Otherwise, its pretty good. But it really needs to speed things up and not bog the player down as much.

How long ago do you think Dess went missing?From the flashback in chapter 3, it's implied that she and Asriel were around 16, like Kris and Noelle are now, maybe a bit younger.We always love to depict her as this cool older college aged sister, but really the last time she was seen, she'd be the same as the rest of the cast.Then again, Maybe Asriel comes back from college, and still looks the same as the tiny version of himself from Undertale. Or maybe Dess stopped aging when in the void, and she'll come back younger than Noelle.

But I'm wavering on the suggestion that it could've been such a significant gap in time that Noelle and Kris were still tiny compared to their siblings. But she wasn't all sunshine and rainbows and there's definitely a degree of rose intended retrospective going on with her as far as Noelle is concerned. I think the worst thing Toby could do is truly follow the line established by Undertale all the way through to Deltarune's ending, if he reveals her at all.
