>Shogun>Rome>Vikings (the first series, not the spinoff)Any other good historical series based on real people? Foreign ones are fine, too.

The time would be right for a Master & Commander show. But then again>could never beat the casting of the movie which is probably THE best casting in all of movie history>would be pozzed to hell and back
>>198535503Borgias is excellent
>>198536201Terror is great, but it's based on a book that's based on real people.

>>198535503Well, there's Band of Brothers/the Pacific/Masters of the Air, obviously.I've heard "Strange Angel" is pretty good, though haven't seen it. Based on the life of Jack Parsons, influential rocket scientist/occultist. Wolf Hall is excellent, about Tomas Cromwell's machinations at Henry VIII's court. It's a refreshing take, as Cromwell is often portrayed a sniveling sycophant, rather than an immensely capable former soldier of fortune who became the king's right hand man.
