Someone please tell me why in every Star Trek show they have no email, no text messaging, no ability to send a simple text file from one device to another. Not even a hard wired ship wide LAN. I still feel a sense of emptiness and sadness when I finish my TNG rewatches even though I must have seen the show at least 20 times at this point.
