But then when they were re-cutting it for TV they had to cut it down again, because a lot of the actiony scenes were too violent for the censors. So to pad out the runtime and compensate for those missing action scenes they edited back in a lot of what they'd edited out of the theatrical cut. The Ulysses Cut is a fancut consisting of the theatrical version, including all of the action scenes that didn't make the TV cut, but also including all of the extra stuff they put into the TV cut.
