There wasn't even a katana duel or anything
>>198607050>Le fedora tipReddit movie.
it's definitely missing something
europeans were all about interracial relationships in these old movies. it's weird. the old giallo movies are full of this shit too. amerimutts definitely weren't inserting coalburning and oildrilling into their kinos in the 60's and 70's. what's the deal? i do like this movie alot otherwise though.
>>198607050Melville is the most overrated of all the french new wave. And this is a group with Godard in it.
>>198607050One of the most overrated movies of all time imo.
French people are incapable of making movies
>>198607998He wasn't part of the FNW.
The ending was pretty bad.
>>198607050Online fedora atheists ruined it. Unironically, we now realise it's not conceptually cool but looks autistic and that the pretty boy lead carried it. Its brand of masculinity was exposed.

>>198607050Le Cercle Rouge is the superior movie.
>>198607998Melville is a kino machine of the highest order. Godard is just mediocre at best. Melville kinos: Bob the Gambler, The informer, Second Wind, Army of Shadows, The red circle. His two lesser movies are A cop and Le Samourai. I still think there are memorable scenes in these movies but they aren't as good as the others. Godard has only made 3 decent films: A band of outsiders, Alphaville and Pierre le Fou.
>>198607960>europeans>Jean-Pierre Melville=Jean-Pierre Grumbach >Jean-Pierre Grumbach was born in 1917 in Paris, the son of Alsatian Jewish parents Berthe and Jules Grumbach.anon....
This flick was so bad I was honestly surprised to find out it was highly regarded. Is just baby’s first subtitle movie?
