europeans were all about interracial relationships in these old movies. it's weird. the old giallo movies are full of this shit too. amerimutts definitely weren't inserting coalburning and oildrilling into their kinos in the 60's and 70's. what's the deal? i do like this movie alot otherwise though.

Melville is a kino machine of the highest order. Godard is just mediocre at best. Melville kinos: Bob the Gambler, The informer, Second Wind, Army of Shadows, The red circle. His two lesser movies are A cop and Le Samourai. I still think there are memorable scenes in these movies but they aren't as good as the others. Godard has only made 3 decent films: A band of outsiders, Alphaville and Pierre le Fou.
