Great aesthetics and the perfect mix of horror and fantasy. I shudder to think what it would look like if Clive Barker didn't direct it himself and just let George Pavlou continuing adapting his stuff.
The only thing I think Clive got wrong was the music he envisioned. He wanted Hellraiser to have a more industrial, experimental soundtrack, but the studio stepped in and hired a traditional composer to write the score, who gave it that beautiful gothic theme that gives the film such atmosphere

The bad news is the news about S. Craig Zahler's next movie being a horror occult detective kino was false; it was a script he was shopping around Jewywood. It had not been greenlit.
The good news is a different script of his HAS been officially greenlit and it's going to be a gangster film set in the late 50s with Vince Vaughn and Adrian Brody. Not gonna be horror unfortunately, but I'll take any Zahler kino at this point.
