In the 80s he executed the Zod and his cronies from an alternate reality after they had literally killed every human on that Earth. It was a controversial story at the time. John Byrne apparently wrote it because he was pissed that DC hired him to revamp Superman after Crisis but didn't give him freedom to actually do the shit he wanted.

Stardust once turned a villain into just a head, then took that head to a planet of headless beings they threw it at one of them causing the head to be absorbed. That's the completely incomprehensible code of mortality and justice that Stardust follows. Superman has no chance in hell.

What's funny is that in both the Richard Donner's cut and Richard Lester's cut Superman throw the kryptonian villains all over the place wrecking buildings and such, without caring much about the people in their way, and you've Superman giving up on being a hero so he can PLAP Lois Lane.
Both in Donner's cut and Lester's cut Superman is bullied by some hicks when he was powerless, but after he gets his powers he wrecks them.
Both in Donner's cut and Lester's cut Superman gleefully torture the kryptonian villains after taking away their powrs.
And in Lester's cut Superman straight murders General Zod after taking away his powers.

But Superman fanboys still give MoS shit for the same things, even if MoS Superman was way less vindictive and reckless.

>Stardust stories followed a tried-and-true formula. The Super Wizard would use his omniscient powers to eavesdrop on criminals plotting a crime. The main villain would describe his grandiose plan (e.g. to commit genocide, lay waste to a city, destroy democracy, etc.). Stardust would pontificate on how evil the villain's plans were but did nothing to prevent them. The villain would then put his plan into action, and many people were either killed or forced to flee. When Stardust arrived on the scene, he would verbally berate the villains and then set into motion a series of increasingly bizarre and violent acts of revenge against the evildoers, often turning their own schemes against them. When the dust cleared, the citizenry would often bemoan the fact that they were unable to thank their hero who had already flown back to his secret headquarters in the stars.

In the comics it's generally explained he picks up certain types of radiation and his bodies cells and store it. It can be converted into teletactile force so when he catches people after they fall it doesn't splat or how he can hold a pencil and move a black hole. He can fire it out through his eyes. He's basically a god tier internal telekinetic with cyclops powers. With the field it picks up sounds which are just vibrations hitting it, and with his body picking up types of radiation he can see all the types including x rays, gamma, infrared.

More or less super only stopped holding back 4 times. Darkseid once, doomsday twice and against a couple dozen kryptonians. Batman even says he's a better fighter than me. It's his kryptonian violent side. Kind of gives him a berserker thing. The movies still haven't hit it right yet. A recent show got it.

For me, it's that issue of Swamp Thing where he winds up on an alien planet made of sentient plant life and before he realizes it he makes a body out of the available plant tissue like he always does.
