>>216017881>rigid adaptationAs someone who actually somewhat liked the original SMB movie as well as Dragonball Evolution when they came out, which implies a certain tolerance for "quirky" adaptations, I still think it's the right call to not make the Zelda movie too experimental. The Zelda formula should make it especially easy, since it pretty much always reuses the same set pieces and rearranges / recontextualizes them. If they do the same for the movie, then it shouldn't be too rigid.The real shame is, that it's going to be a live-action movie instead of the utlimate animated Japanese dream.
