You wanna know about deep space travel? Well...
>>
Thor love and thunder killed the joke
>>

And now every sci-fi space movie has this scene in it

Ass to ASS ?!
>>
>>217420643
Well, you see, it's much like how my penis enters your mother's, erm, loading dock. May I demonstrate..
>>
>>217420643
That’s not an example of deep space travel, it’s a metaphor for the curvature of space time and how it can theoretically be manipulated to travel enormous distances in a non conventional way that doesn’t break the laws of physics.
>>
>>217421151
nobody saw it so the joke is fine

>"How can one pencil go through the same sheet of paper twice?"
>*pulls out a wormhole* well...
>>
>>217420643
imagine if films didn't cater to the lowest IQ people. Now that would be kino.
>>
>>217420643
Is this actually a bad explanation in layman’s terms? I don’t get why it’s memed so much.

Cant we just make portal like in the game Portal and then the whole transportation becomes obsolete
>>
>>217424588
I once asked that very question here on 4chan and some /sci/lon answered to me that it is the most accurate way to depict and explain the phenomenon while keeping it simple enough for normies

So stupid. Space isn't a piece of paper that you can fold.

This is the only thing like a clip I found: https://youtube.com/shorts/TpTLcFI5N7w?si=BVKAw9axbIVydMY2

Has the reverse ever been done?
>idiot trying to explain how to pierce a sheet of paper with a pen, and a physicist struggles to understand, so to adapt it to his understanding, the idiot creates a wormhole in the fabric of the universe and crosses vast distances of space in an instant
>>
>>217425645
a few days ago, on another thread on the subject, some anon proposed that a director trying to make a parody of sci fi should spoof that analogy by putting a giant pen on the front of the spaceship and by having it fold a giant sheet of paper and pierce it when traveling FTL
