Man 311 was huge at my high school circa 2000…kinda surprised there doesn’t seem to be much nostalgia for them
>>
I always knew MTV stood for music television but finding out they used to do nothing but play videos was wild to me. I just turned 22 and my whole life it's been nothing but reality sloppa and a show where they play shitty youtube videos(hosted by a guy I found out about a year ago was on his own reality show).

Really wild. I saw some youtube video talk about how TLC used to be just educational shows all the time instead of my 600lbs life.

always loved the wacky obscure aphex twin-type stuff they'd have on at like 2 in the morning when I'd arrive home from my nightclub job as a teenager
greatly inspired my creativity when I was older and making my own choons and ULing them to youtube and souncloud and the like from the time
still listen to my own choons from that 00s-10s era as I stand by them as legit great choons

Do you actually think any of your complaints carry any weight when you're literally the soiled loser you're depicting squatting in his filth miserably unhappy about literally everything, all the time?

I HONESTLY can never imagine what it must be like to be born a zoomer. Just a horrible, fetid soulless husk that has never created anything or enjoyed anything. It wakes up, alone and miserable, goes on the internet, cries and screams for 18 hours straight about the jews, and then goes back to sleep alone and miserable. You're literally not human. You're worse than jews. At least a jew can hold a conversation and tell a joke and crack a smile once in a while. You offer nothing to no one, you're literally just a psychological tax burden.

Making numetal at any age is sad. Chester had a 30sec moment of lucidity and did the honorable thing.

311 is just making music for teenagers born 40 years ago. They basically have a Dead following of aged Gen X/Millennial parents and their families. They tour every summer and their built-in audience goes. If they were making music for teens it'd be like, idk, Travis Scott? Is that fair? idk if that's still a thing.

Kinda sad that MTV is gone for good. Not that it had any worth in the past 15 years besides that one season of Beavis and Butthead. I always just saw it as a monument to the 80s and 90s and sorta never thought it as something that would go away

With it gone, and stranger things over, I can't help but feel like the era of 80's nostalgia is coming to a close. About half of the people who were alive for the 80s in America are over 50 years old.

The 90s really didn't get it's time in the nostalgia limelight like the 80s did. It had so much going for it too: the rise of the internet, post-cold war hope for the future, talks of going back to the moon, the advancement of CGI in film, shit like the X-files, the transition from 2D to 3D in videogames

I wonder if there will even be nostalgia for the 2010s and 2020s. I can't really see anyone being nostalgic for the last 6 years besides the fact that people were in quarantine were inside all day.

No, even at its peak, just before they created reality TV, most of it wasn't, but it was pretty good.
>The Young Ones and a lot of other British/foreign syndication
>Liquid TV and tons of other animation, bizarre Soviet stuff, Czech claymation, etc.
>MTV News specials and documentaries that were actually germaine to youth issues, like safe sex and drug use
>a lot of the music programming was specialized into blocs, like Headbangers' Ball, Yo! MTV Raps, and 120 Minutes
I was an edgemeister back then who listened to shit like Zeni Geva and Carcass and thought MTV was "too commercial" at the time, but I actually miss it a lot.

>3 Friends and Jerry is a show I hated when I was a kid. Characters that don't deserve abuse suffers the blame they didn't do. Ugly character designs and probably the worst character in the show........Jerry's Dad. He's so neglectful and cruel to his own son that it comes across as uncannily horrifying than funny.
>They're are kids in real life that has abusive parents and this only make their lives even worse. They didn't learn they're lesson, because they brought back abusive dads back in animation w/ ChalkZone, Johnny Test and Bordertown.
>I really don't like it. That cartoon is definitely not suitable for kids because it has lots of naughty stuff despite being a children's TV programme.

I wish I could've said the same. I was 15 at the time and someone had posted something on some random vBulletin forum I was browsing when I snuck on our school computers at lunch to "study" (which was just playing Doom). It linked to some chaotic website called "4chan" with a place called "/b/".
From that day on, the longest I didn't post ever was a few months when I was away for work over 15 years ago.
Someone will undoubtedly say that we must have seen a lot and remember a lot. Yes and no - time has done its damage and aside from the big happenings and a large handful of obscure shit, a lot of the day to day memes and golden threads are lost to my memory.

Because the 90s never really went away, except maybe fashion. Even then, not really. Half the music on the radio is 30 years old. Zoomers all recognize the music, movies, tv characters and the like.

Thanks to the internet, there never really was a door-closing on the 90s like there was to the previous eras.

Everyone is. The idea that your brain somehow becomes different is a bullshit myth.

usually avoiding some overplayed song by a canadian artist. the radio stations here have to play a certain amount of canadian content and if there is currently a justin bieber or an avril lavigne that the world likes, we have to hear them CONSTANTLY. once that song or artist becomes overplayed cringe, the radio stops playing it altogether and it's easy to forget it exists until some web based radio spends 50 cents and scoops up a license to use it

why call you anything else when that's the clearest descriptor of your failed life?

what would you rather be called? seriously, what have you done with your life? you squat online all day, alone like a loser, you probably have no skills or friends at all. can you tell me anything about yourself that makes you unique? or just another disposable loser to was afraid to talk to girls so no one will remember him when he dies alone in hospice someday

post didn't read if i made you mad :)
