AI will result in hobbyist kino, the industry as is will exist because people would still like to pay to see real people

ehhh.
>AI will result in hobbyist kino, the industry as is will exist because people would still like to pay to see real people
I think for this generation sure
but gen Alpha, and their kids will be used to seeing AI so much that they won't have our hesitation. AI is going to fully take over the arts.

>AI is going to fully take over the arts.
Well I'll be interested very much when I can make kino from scratch or altering movies I believe could have been amazing with a few key differences

I will always write music and play my songs and maybe there will still be a market for human made content in the future.

Imagine the world in ten years from now. I'm scared bros
>>
What's going to happen is you are going to get mountains of absolute shit. Something like 1 in 100,000 films will be good (and it might be even rarer). Masterpieces will be lost in the pile of shit because no one will conceivably be able to watch everything that will be created. The stuff that sticks though is going to easily be the best movies that ever have been made. The best films have not been made yet because it's going to take AI to make them. A bunch of people will stamp their feet and protest in a manner as pathetic and doomed to failure as a kid holding their breath so they don't have to eat their broccoli. You know this, I know this. It's inevitable. A lot of shit might be getting worse, but as far as TV and film, the best is yet to come.

>>217924060
Maybe the video is fake and made by human CG artists just to dupe investors.
>>
>>217924097
Depends on the cost of money and resources to compute a movie or show.
>>
>>217923864
Yeah I’m sure it is over for the genius behind Deadpool and Wolverine. Those that make movies however have nothing to worry about
>>
This will democratize story telling, now anyone who has studied the art of story telling and writing can conjure up a movie on a computer without actors, without a camera, without having to go to hollywood

this will also be the end of real life porn, it could be argued that women will no longer be exploited since we will have ai porn, so its ethical too
>>
>>217923864
>"writer" of Deadpool and Wolverine
Of course the guy who writes dreck for 12-year-olds is threatened by this.
Will AI be able to make movies like current Hollyslop? Sure, because those movies are just barebones stories to begin with. Will it be able to make movies like The Godfather, Bridge on the River Kwai, or even highly personal comedies like Clerks? Is there any reason to believe it could?
>>
>>217924119
That's all going to come down eventually. The way video generation works right now is also almost certainly not the only way it's going to always work (models will get more efficient) and the infrastructure to support all of this is still very early in the build out phase. The best comparison I can think of is how phones use to work with long distance calls or with text messages at like $.25 a text or whatever it was, and now look at phones. The amount of money getting spent here to expand capacity is staggering. When you combine it all, it's almost as much (and when it's all said and done will probably be more) than the entirety of the money spent getting the U.S. out of the global financial crisis.

In the same way 4chan democratized hot takes?
>>

It doesn't generate new content but mashes and steal content to make frankencontent. People will reject it eventually. They might love it at first because of the novelty.

Ultimately that's how creativity works. A unicorn is a horse plus a horn. A dragon is a lizard with wings that breathes fire. Minor hallucinatory variance on those ideas creates variety. Most of what people conceive is relative to something they have already experienced with their senses. Almost everything is defined in relation to something else.
>>
>>217924102
it would be hilarious if it was warehouses of chinamen sweating away like it was with that one ai jeet start up(not for video related stuff), but that would be impossible for this sort of ai stuff

>guy
Looking at his posts and how they all read like ads I'd say this "guy" is a bot himself
>>

>Deadpool & Wolverine
Maybe next time cast a hot babe with big tits as the villainness instead of some non-binary gimpoid. He can rot.
>>
>>217924441
if you google his name plus ai you'll find him in news stories, but he is an ai hype guy
>>
>>217923864
they're gonna make this shit cost a million dollars to use the prompts you make now. no way they keep this free/affordable to the average person for much longer

hollywood studios and other corps will be the only ones making this AI shit in 10 years
>>
>>217924473

I mean...
>>
>>217923864
I want to remove all blacks from movies unless they're getting killed

>>217924097
What will happen is that everyone will make their own movies/songs/games for themselves. People will sit in their own personal media silos. The Age of Shared Culture will end. With it, the end of centralized government as we know it. Governments and politcians can no longer influence people via mass media and entertainment. Humanity will enter something like The Matrix, but willingly.

oh so you prompt it and then it just spits out a series of scenes? i thought someone had edited together a bunch of individual prompts, that's way less useful
>>
>>217923864
I saw three posts that said "we're so cooked" with the same video by "ai entrepreneur" accounts within a minute.

Nobody actually cares. All the hype is bot accounts commenting on each other like an empty tf2 server.

lol the market will be microscopic, just like how today the market for hand-painted realistic photography-like portraits is small and not very profitable.
>>
>>217923864
the rich kids will still dominate as they willl still have the most important things - time and connections.

it was actually the real brad pitt and tom cruise duping investors to gather scientology funding for their takeover now that israel is losing its influence

there will but it'll only be for live stuff, at least until holograms are perfected

it never started for him in the first place. there's very little difference between him and current generative AI.

Studios will simply use AI to make movies. And the people who are calling for the "death of Hollywood" will turn a 180° and demand movies to be made the "real way again". Happened with pratical effects vs CG.
>>
>>217923864
Hopefully we will get more realistic fight scenes because the characters can hit each other without pretending like actors.
