As far as "not killing Langstrom", he could be referring to their last fight where he let Langstrom get away (missing an arm) because he took too long to decide to finally kill him for good.

What's your problem? The fact that they will start killing off characters soon doesn't change the fact that season 2 through 4 so far is just fillers. I’m here to tell you that your complaint that there are no stakes is completely farcical. You understand there has to be a buildup for those moments to have any meaning, right? We’re in the stage right now where Mark is dealing with the fallout of the Invincible War (which he indirectly caused by “creating” Angstrom to start with) and Conquest showing up back-to-back, and how helpless he was against it, and how his helplessness almost cost him Eve and his family.

I haven’t watched this season yet, but based on what you’re saying, there is a moment coming up where Mark straight up kills someone in order to solve a very high-stakes problem, and prevent another Angstrom from happening.

Mark kills Conquest in their rematch.
Thragg kills Oliver and Nolan.
Robot does an Order 66 and kills almost everyone, starting with Angstrom, including Cecil, and the rest kind of give up because while his techniques were brutal, the world was better off for it.
