I think my grandparents used to watch that show.

nobody knows what this weird rumble-ass cartoon is unc
>>

I remember the advertising at the time for the episode implied it was going to be NSFW as if it was going to be flat out porn and could only be played late at night.

They were naked for half the episode, were filmed on camera in front of thousands in open genital display, and had full-contact penetrative sex inside a minigolf structure while the townsfolks' hands poked and prodded them and grabbed their sweaty flesh in mid-coitus.

It was a bit atypical of prime time television at the time.
>>
>>219453746
But even so, I was a kid at the time and still thought "that's it?"
>>
>>219453458
simpsons was never advertised as family friendly, it was the opposite at the time, which is why HW bush said americans should be more like the waltons and less like the simpsons
>>
Thinking the Simpsons was a "fun for the whole family" cartoon is a dead giveaway for being a zoomer
>>
>>219453991
That wasn't because of family friendly shit, it was because it was a display of pretty typical and dysfunctional families.
>>
>>219454434
that meant the same thing back then though, hence the opposition
>>
The other way i was thinking about how wonderful and full of sex their marriage is and crywanked to it
And i love the episode where homer doesnt cheat because he instantly remembers how marge was the first girl that chose him
My mom cheated and left before i finished high school
>>
>>219454780
Yeah their marriage seems pretty pleasant. I think a lot of guys would kill for something half as good as that.
Also sorry about your mom...

The Simpsons was never a show that was "fun for the whole family". From the beginning it was, and was advertised as, a show that centered on somewhat more adult themes and content. It was not appropriate for "kids" the same way Frasier or other adult-targeted Sitcoms were.

Your parents were either stupid, or, more likely, you're just lying.

>zoomer desperately tries to construct an argument out of secondhand tv guide readings from behind he was born
>>
>>219455223
The Simpsons most certainly was widely watched by children and families. The original seasons were much more wholesome and family-oriented, and the elements of dysfunction were played for polite chuckles. The "scandal" that Bart was a cartoon character who said "damn" and "hell" was something that made the Puritanical sector pop their monocles while the rest of the country laughed at them. The United States and its television empire went through staggering changes through the 90s, and this sex-charged episode in question didn't occur until the 9th season. Meanwhile an earlier season featured an element where Homer receiving a belly dance at a bachelor party was viewed as such a shocking and scandalous event by the town that the destruction of his family seemed like a justly deserved inevitability.

Are you not a zoomer? okay so you're what, 38 and posting here?

>>

I've always found extremely repulsive how otten they showed homer and marge behaving sexually
>>
>>219455477
Think much, much older.

>the fuck happened to you man
Kids, grandkids, weddings, funerals

>you had dreams once
Pretty much achieved. Have a self-determined career, get to watch my grandkids dance. My middle one blew all his classes, but he got his first girlfriend 6 years earlier than I did. Have racked up a few health issues along the way, but that's life. Pretty good overall.. my only regret is I don't drive as much as I used too. I loved cars but driving in Japan is a pain, I don't care for it. What was it you were upset about again?
>>
>>219454938
Thats not real, right?
>>
>>219455669
It is but from the newer seasons. If that is an excuse
>>
>>219455669
The furry part isn't. It was a black man in the original. That is real.

If you consider anything in "modern Simpsons" real. Personally I do not believe any real sapient human being is watching it, it's like Dead Internet Theory stuff, a fake show for fake viewers supported by fake ratings.

This anon is right. Everyone else in this thread is a retard with bad parents. My parents let me watch Simpsons but it clearly isn't a family show. The show dealt with adult themes all the time and this surely wasn't the first time sex was the main topic. I remember my dad finding this episode hilarious btw. The scene where Homer gets dragged over the glass church had him in hysterics.
>>
>family TV night
It wasn't targeted at families back in the 90s, no idea who is currently watching this shit and keeping it alive
>>
>>219453619
yeah in Australia it was this one and the one where Homer smokes weed which were rated M for mature audiences and the channel advertising made a big deal about the late night 9pm adults only Simpsons episodes
>>
>>219455474
Your parents doing a dog-shit job of raising you and not bothering to police what you consume while you're young & impressionable like they're supposed to does not change the fact that the content in the show show was not intended dor OR appropriate for children.
>>
>>219455223
Both The Simpsons and Frasier aired during family timeslots with a TV-PG age rating. I don’t really see how Frasier appealed to kids since the wordplay and cultural references would have gone over their heads.
I was always allowed to watch The Simpsons and most Seinfeld episodes, but Family Guy and X-Files were where my parents drew the line.
>>
>>219458460
>imagines hysteria in his head because that's the only thing he's known in his life
I'm sorry that you, personally, had a terrible childhood that you now carry with you and project on everything you see in adulthood.
That's got to suck really bad for you.

>American sees onscreen nudity

>I don’t really see how Frasier appealed to kids since the wordplay and cultural references
I watched Moonlighting and Mash when I was like 11, you can tell funny things are funny even if you don't get the nuance of a chateau latour joke
they do so much mugging and japing on Frasier, Kelsey Grammar's physical comedy will get you as a kid even if the jokes don't
>>
>>219453746
I just happened to record that episode when it aired the first time, and that frame got a lot of pauses from me. It blew my little mind that you could see Marge’s sexy ass.
>>
Simpsons went through phases depending on the writers. Alot of the mid 90s seasons had alot of blood and injuries. Then late 90s early 2000s there was alot of sex stuff. Truly the show of all time
>>
>>219458521
Nice projection, retard. Having parents that ACTUALLY give a shit and don't let their kid grow up to be a desensitized degenerate is not a "terrible childhood". It's the opposite.
>>
>>219458652
Yeah, you're not beating the allegations there kiddo. Stay impotently mad and infuriated at life every second of the day you're on 4chan, I guess, if that's the only mode of living you know.
>>
>>219458556
>European sees someone make an edgy joke on the Internet that ISN'T at the expense of Whites
>>
>>219458668
I'm objectively correct, retard.
Good parents police what impressionable young children are exposed to and protect them from damaging, degenerate shit (of which there is more of out there today than ever before), because it's part of their JOB as a parent.
Shit parents don't care and let their children be exposed to anything and everything, and they're worse-off for it. It's the kids that grew up with unfettered, unmonitored access to things like TV or the Internet that ended up becoming freaks, degens and trannies.

This isn't even a point that can be argued against: It's just objectively true that exposure to diaper-fur porn and shit like that is bad for 7-year-old, and only bad parents don't bother giving a shit to prevent that exposure from happening.

Do you think with all the hands blindly grabbing that any of them tuoched Homers butt hole?
