eva stratt should have been played by diane kruger. she would have been a much more believable dutch administrator with a domineering attitude. she was written to be a cold calculating woman that had absolute authority and wasn't afraid to wield it. people were conscripted into the program against their will. china's entire industrial infrastructure was pivoted towards astrophage production, and the sahara desert was 1/5 paved over in the production effort causing environmental calamity in europe and elsewhere. she even nuked antarctica to buy the earth some time. she's just who i picture in my head when i read the book, plus she's qt.
