Why did you make the Backrooms feel so small by having practical sets, so most of the movie is practically forced to happen in like ten different rooms?Digital shit is good enough now that it's used to extend practical sets and real world locations in basic bitch TV shows where it doesn't even seem all that necessary. Not to mention the simplistic monotone yellow Backrooms in practical sets look half-fake anyway. If you recall there was very real debate over the original Backrooms photo as to whether it was a real location or computer generated until the IRL location was found.Not saying you want actors on a soulless Star Wars prequel greenscreen set 24/7, but we never really got to see the infinite extent of the Backrooms which is an important part of the Backroom feels, that they seem to just go on forever.The confined pirate guy story where you just see hand drawn maps talking about how big it is and 'it has a pool' reference seems like a 'tell don't show' gyp, that makes it feel like it's missing a scene - at least where there's some impossibly wide open space.
