What's the creepiest thing you ever saw on TV?
>>221283486One day I was watching Goof Troop and Goofy looked at the camera and started bleeding realistically. I yelled>SOMEBODY COME QUICKbut nobody came.

An episode of Truth or scare (a kids paranormal show hosted by the late Michelle Trachtenberg), where they showed a small dog like creature with a human arm grabbing a woman on her shoulder when she had her back turned. Traumatized 6 year old me
I remember watching Jimmy Neutron one day where Jimmy shot Carl while screaming>BRAIN BLAST!!!That was some spooky shiz
>>221283486The blood zombie in the pool from that one episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark
>>221283622It was the bacteriophage episode for me
>>221283620I saw a creepypasta video series years ago that did this same thing and it scared the fuck out of me. To this day I'm still a little concerned that some random hand is going to reach out from under my bed and grab my ankle at night.
>>221283486 When I was a kid I had a surreal and terrifying experience watching a VHS of the special edition of Star Wars: A New Hope with my mom. I believe this was the late 90's (1998?) but I can't give an exact date so I apologize, however I was approximately 11 or 12. Basically we were watching the part of the film where they're in the Death Star. At one point when confronted by stormtroopers, Luke's nose suddenly extended grotesquely into a strange flesh-colored elephant's trunk. It then flailed around making elephant trumpet sounds scaring the stormtroopers off. I vividly remember this, and I was absolutely terrified. My mom was really jarred and confused and trying to calm me down. Leia then says "that's enough Proboscis Luke" and his nose returned to normal. The film also continued on as normal. Every subsequent viewing of our VHS was completely normal, as with every previous viewing. We had already watched the film multiple times prior to the incident so that precludes it being some strange edited copy which would be weird in and of itself.

I was probably like 8 or 9 and we were staying at our cabin in the woods. I was up by myself watching pimp my ride after everyone went to sleep. The theme of the episode was aliens. They had this big tall alien costume with robes and shit. Big scary alien mask. I was terrified as fuck of a big ass alien trying to get into our cabin. Laid in icy fear most of the night on the verge of tears
some weird tv version of frankenstein that was on during the day when i was sick off school. never been able to find it since
Fell asleep on the couch while watching TV one night during my early 20s and jolted awake around 3am to a news anchor shouting my name over and over. As soon as I got a glimpse of him the TV shut itself off. Probably some weird dream but ive never forgotten it lol
One night, I was aimlessly channel-flipping when I landed on The Simpsons mid-episode. >Homer was on his knees on the floor, completely broken, looking up at Marge with desperate, tear-filled eyes.>“PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME, MARGE! I LOVE YOU!” he begged, his voice cracking.>Marge just stared off into the distance, her face hollow and exhausted. In a flat, lifeless tone, she replied:>“I don’t care anymore… I just don’t care.”>Patty and Selma interjected “heh heh what a loser heh heh he loves Marge heh heh”>That’s when Homer snapped he started screaming in a primal rage I had never heard Homer’s VA achieve after, or before that “SHUT UPPPPPP SHUUUUIT UP YOU FUCKING BITCHES!”>He charged to Patty and Selma and started beating their faces into a pulp screaming “FUUUUUUCCCKKKKING DIIIIIEEE”Then the screen glitched out and turned completely white
Unsolved mysteries where they'd show really weird grainy photos, one had a guys reflection in an atm machine that kidnapped a kid and made him get money from the ATM before murdering him. Another was a woman kidnapped from a phone booth and her boyfriend came for her and saw her in the backseat of a truck going the opposite direction
All of 2020

Not strictly television, but when I was a kid, I went to watch James and the Giant Peach on VHS. For some reason I used to sit through the advertisements instead of fast forwarding to the movie, only realizing that that's odd as I type this up. As I'm watching the advertisements, suddenly the audio distorts and sounds all deep and demonic and twisted. I don't remember if the visuals changed too. But this is an advertisement I've seen before and I know it's not supposed to sound like this (for whatever reason it would), so I freaked out and ran away terrified and told my mum. She didn't believe me so I had to show her, and then it seemed to disturb or at least surprise her too. But obviously as an adult she thought about it, and then told me it's just that the tape has been warped by the strong sunlight or something. But that really freaked me out.
Got home from school after dark. Home alone. TV was on. It was one of the overnight surveillance scenes from paranormal activity. All the lights were off except the tv. On first glance I thought it was surveillance footage from inside my house. Extreme crash of panic and fear. I had chills everywhere and tears welling up until a commercial started and I realized it was a movie
There was this old British show called Take Over TV that used to air reruns here in leafistan. The premise of the show was that people would send in random videos and they'd just show them, with no filter or specific grouping. Most of the videos were just dumb America's Home Videos-style movies of morons injuring themselves. But one of them was this really fucking freaky video of a young woman who had painted her entire body white, wore a black wig, and either had black contacts in or had done something to the lighting to make her eyes looked completely black. The video was her slowly approaching the camera from down a hallway, hunched over and slapping her hands against her wrists. The only sound in the video was of her footsteps and nobody else was in shot. I seem to remember that there was also a window showing that it was heavily raining outside. The clip was only around a minute long or so, but it scared the everliving fuck out of me and I remember it clearly to this day. I don't think the thought of that person existing IRL.
>>221283732his mom was there retard, hes got a witness
>>221283929Schizophrenia can be an inherited condition.
>>221283486When I was a kid around Halloween they would play this one series called 100 Scariest Movie Moments. I don’t remember any particular moment that freaked me out it was just the whole thing
One night I was lurking in a 4chan thread and after one random F5 I see a post addressing me by name and telling me not to look behind. I freaked the fuck out and ran out of my room (didn't look back, of course). Luckily there were other people in the house so I was able to regain my composure. Went back, and surprise suprise no such post was actually there. I still don't know just what the fuck happened that night

Not me, but happened to a friend of mine in college. He was watching porn on a bootleg VHS in the middle of the night at his parents house. The video played as normal, until right before the money shot where it cut to a terrifying zombie face and a LOUD scream (and he had the TV volume down low, so it was probably supposed to be even louder than that). My friend loses his shit, his parents quickly come into the room, he gets caught with his pants around his ankles and his cock out. Classic.
>>221283486theres really no excuse for ren and stimpy
>>221284090I'm sure you would eventually. I don't know what episode it was because it was an old rerun even then, but it must be somewhere in the series if you can find an archive. I haven't seen the show at all in about 25 years.

>>221283861>pic relatedNot when the character spoke in the high feminine voice, but in the deep masculine voice. It was so creepy that one day I just changed the channel when this character was on screen and never watched the show again. It touched something deep.>Unsolved mysteriesI couldn't watch this alone when I was 9-10. Had to have my brother with me.
I lived pretty close to the slenderman stabbing location during that time and our local news station showed the entire creepypasta wiki tour video. At first it was just the slenderman segment on loop and some other snippets to drive home the spooky factor. Eventually the news segment transitioned into the topic of internet horror websites like the creepypasta wiki and the effect it was having on impressionable teens. They then played this video in it's entirety which was jarring seeing old creepypastas like dead bart and squidwards suicide broadcasted on live TVhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvwdfPBtLBwobviously the older creepypastas are pretty silly to an adult but the video itself could have definitely fucked up any kids who might have been watching the news broadcast at the time
