I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done!
>JEAN-LUC, RUIN THE ENTIRE FUCKING THREAD!!!
now do this scene but with puppets and obese people
>>222825181Careful thoughtful Picard > Action Picard >Elderly Picard
>>222825181Why did they make Picard a murderous psychopath in the movies when he was a calm diplomat in the show?
>>222825181>We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats.???>They invade our space, and we fall back. What the fuck are you talking about? They went straight for your homeworld twice and you kicked their ass both times.>They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back.In the Delta Quadrant. They didn't do shit in the Federation beyond the odd little frontier colony and outpost.>Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done!Ok, you hysterical queen.
>>222825278No one normal who goes to the movies wants a 2 and a half hour long movie of some bald faggot being contemplative over retarded shit where 2 rubber alien costumes argue over the trolley problem or some other gay shit.
If you kill the Borg the number of killers in the quadrant stays the same.

What are the Borg's pronouns?

>>222825771You'd think no one would want that in a TV show either, but millions of subhuman, autistic retards actually watched that shit.
I saw this in the theater and all I remember is that it was fun and we enjoyed it. I was a kid and had never watched TNG, only TOS and VI and Generations also in the theater, though so I don't know. Now after watching TNG I'm afraid to rewatch it. I remember the other two movies after this one being dogshit even back then too.
I WILL MAKE WESLEY SUCK MY COCK AND EAT MY SHIT!
>>222826029TV is bottom of the barrel normal people used to mock the CSI Miami guy for saying he wanted to be a "professional tv actor" Movies have always been held to a much much higher standard and Star Trek is peak autistic midwit.

>>222826524Will you please shut the fuck up you annoying newfaggot. Goddamn.
Patrick Stewart thinking he should have been a cool action hero that fucks chicks is so embarrassing.
I don't mind Picard being berzerk in this movie because it's the Borg. If there's one species, one enemy, that SHOULD set him off like this it IS the Borg, given his history with them.
>>222827409He's hot
>>222825181this scene is so silly in light of the ending with data. the enterprise was not lost. worf was a coward who wanted to blow up the ship and run away. the magic negress was wrong.
>wins every fight it gets into, even the ones it shouldn'tThe E is the best Enterprise. Mike Stoklasa is a faggot who hates cool things.
>>222825278#1 they were worried it needed more action for a general audience. #2 he was constantly asking for it he wanted to be indiana jones.
>>222825278Because Patty wanted to be an action star who gets the girl and swings on lianas while driving cool cars. They actually managed to shove all those scenes in Star Trek movies. Frakes is on record thinking Star Trek fans wanted it to be about sploshions. It's always fascinating when stars, directors and producers of something have no fucking idea why it worked.>>222826346>we must accept assimilation as part of their culture doing anything else would be racist. You know there's a whole storyline with Hugh who manages to escape the collective and how Picard chooses not to use him as a weapon because he has an independent identity and a right to exist? Kind of like the crystalline entity being defended. Why do you people pretend to like TNG in the first place?
>>222825278Trauma. They only barely talked him down from killing Hugh along with the rest of the Borg by using him as a Trojan Horse for that holographic virus thing.
>>222827604Yeah and then the movie course corrected and made the borg what they truly are, monsters that deserve to be eliminated.
First Contact is underrated these days, if anything. It's a very Trekkian film on the whole, as much as RLM acts like it isn't. All the Zefram Cochrane/First Contact stuff is a great example of what Trek should be. We also get interesting stuff like the elaboration on what the future does instead of using money, etc.I also think Picard's is ultimately Trekkian because he comes to his senses due to being a literate guy with some impulse control.
>>222826035Dude, just do it. Its kino. Literally my favourite Trek film.
>>222827498That introductory shot is so goddamn soulful.
>>222825181The part I like more is when Picard says something to the affect of "if they have been turned into a borg just fucking kill them immediately. You'll be doing them a favor.">-t. used-to-be-borgBravo.
>>222826282The TNG movies are better than the Plinkett reviews would rate them. They are still weak though.

>>222826282generations is shameful
>>222826321>main villain was tortured by romulans his whole life>wants to attack earth instead of Romulus for some reasonNemesis was retarded.
>>222828297Yeah that bit is a reach, but the nature vs nurture theme of the movie is kino.
I got into TNG and marathoned most of it but left a lot out. Only got to season 6 before getting burned out. I think my favorite episodes were the ones where there's zero action.Measure of a man, the Drumhead. Courtroom dramas, satisfying ethical/philosophical dilemmas to solve where a wise and cultured captain gives sage advice. I like the trumpets that play in the intro and outro. I like how unashamedly Anglo Celtic it is with the singing and Shakespearean elements. With that said I couldn't watch Deep space 9. I like sisko being a hard cut captain who isn't afraid to annihilate terrorists, but the day to day business of ferengi and interspecies relations does nothing for me.I haven't seen any of the movies but I'm afraid they don't have what I like in Star Trek.
>>222825278he turns into a genocidal maniac when borg are involved.
>>222825752You’re gay for knowing all this
>>222826321>>222828297>>222828357Nemesis has the bones of a better movie than it turned into. I actually like the idea of the Enterprise getting involved in an internal conflict within the Romulan Empire. And I like the idea that, by the end of it, the Romulans have a certain amount of trust in Picard, that might lead to more fruitful dialogue with the Federation going forward. That feels very TNG-esque, the idea that even the Federation's oldest and most implacable enemy can turn over a new leaf for the better. Also the fight in the nebula is cool. The Scimitar is a cool ship in general and it's interesting seeing the Enterprise fight a ship that vastly outclasses it in combat. It COULD have been great if it had been executed better.

>>222825220NO! NOOOOOOOO
>>222825278Patrick Stewart had a lot of influence on these movies, he wanted to be cool tough action man. He never liked being the calm diplomat. I forget who it was (might have been Berman) but one of the producers/writers from TNG said that Stewart point-blank told him that Picard needs to do more "fighting and screwing". >>222827604Frakes did direct a whole bunch of Trek episodes tbf, I'd cut him a little bit of slack. It's different from when Stewart basically got everything he wanted in the Picard show and it was an absolute dumpster fire. Knowing nothing about either of them personally, I feel like the difference is probably that Frakes is a bit of a hack (as a director) while Stewart is actually an egomaniac to the point that it ruins whatever he gets creative control of.
>>222828723The Patrick Stewart scene in Extras is basically the real him, that seems obvious at this point.
