I can't believe Disney puts out a live-action remake that's the worst garbage of all time and it makes 500 million dollars, but Coyote Vs Acme is struggling and barely tops 31 million.
People are idiots.
>>
Coyote vs Acme was corny slop. Should’ve been raunchier and more adult like Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
>>
The last time anybody cared about the Looney Tunes was when Space Jam came out in the 90’s. It’s been irrelevant ever since and I say this as a Looney Tunes fan. It’s sad but not surprising that this is flopping.

Some Nicki Minaj music videos have more than 1 billion views, so obviously people do still like yo watch Looney Tunes videos.

It's a good movie but WB was right to keep it shelved. They understand Looney Tunes is a dead IP with no appeal to younger audiences and the only way to make it interesting is to pander to the "urban youth" and include basketball americans as a plot point. But they already tried that, again, a few years ago and failed. So anyone who thought this movie was actually going to turn a profit is a delusional moron.

>>223020390
Since the cinema is dying, most films for adults make their money from tv and other shit now. A Disney live action, an adult has to take a kid and asap according to the kid, and that’s so many extra tickets. CVA is a film for adults, and adults only do a few big things each year now, like the pseudo intellectual Nolan piece for childish adults, and the comic book spider piece for childish adults. It’s far better watching films for actual adults at home with your own food, your own comfort, away from the modern public. It’s weird when two teens are making out and heavy petting behind you, kicking the back of your seat while Ned Beaty is taking it up the ass and squealing like a pig again. It’s the kind of stuff that pushed David Foster Wallace over the edge and you can kind of see where he was coming from.
>>
>>223020390
The premise sounds really retarded. A live action/animation courtroom drama about looney tunes starring will Forte? Who the fuck wants to see that? Definitely not kids. The only people who like will forte are Tim & Eric fans and maybe snl watchers, the same type of people who don't give a fuck about looney tunes and probably want to see will covered in blood and acting like maniac.
>>
>>223024239
To know the plot is nothing special you'd have to see it.
>>
>>223024297
The modern public is frightening. You see them at Walmart.

Wasn't this movie meant to be straight to streaming rather than a theater release at its conception? It would've been better as a straight to BD/streaming release.

Went to it opening night since it was Tunes and Will Forte. Thought it was great! Obviously it’s shit compared to original Chuck Jones run, but is not really trying to be Looney Tunes. It’s trying to a semi adult, but like another anon said, it’s way too tame. Honestly hate the entire supporting case. Cena is a retarded choice, and whatever that fat Jew guy name is who’s in every comedy hamming it up. But the worst was the fat bitch Asian. Even the deadpan older woman sucked. Forte was the only one treating it like it was-a shitty comedy with cartoons in it.

Let’s get it straight though, a comedy is all about how funny it is right? In that way I was really surprised. So many good lines. Won’t spoil them but yeah I mean I did laugh.

Interesting observation tho I just want to share with you homies.

So not really a spoiler but they show old Chuck Jones Looney Tunes moments in the film. And, nothing I mean nothing in the whole film got as big of a laugh as those moments. It just made me so sad. Like nothing like that is around that comes even close to comparing to the absolutely brilliant slapstick of that era.

Then I saw in the credits that James Gunn was involved. Well that explains it lol. The only thing he and his team know how to do is do eye roll sarcastic above it all humor. I mean I’m sure he wasn’t really involved but still.

Now for the Tunes themselves. Wile E. was fantastic and his dynamic with Forte was cool. But Road Runner Stole the show. Legitimately one of the better portrayals of the character. Why didn’t Coyote talk though? Like I’m aware in every cartoon but one he is silent, however I would have liked him to speak in his upper class educated voice at least once.

All the rest of the Tunes were utilized well, except Bugs and Daffy. Not sure why they got so little screen time and were barely getting themselves.

Hands down the best joke has to be
You will never catch The Road Runner!!
>>
I didn't hate the movie but my god they did the most boring things imaginable with the some of the most interesting characters in the whole Looney Tunes arsenal.
>Daffy does fucking nothing
>Taz is the fucking head of PR
>Elmer Fudd doesn't try to hunt Bugs once
>Bugs does fuck all and disappears after 30 seconds of screentime
>Tweety and Sylvester have virtually zero interaction
>And so on
The only fucker who stayed true to his character was the fucking Coyote and even he gets bogged down in a dull as fuck court case

Having someone finally sue ACME for being shit is such a gold mine for content and i wish they would have just focused on that. The whole story line with the secret test lab where they made cartoons retarded and intentionally sold bad products to cartoons for i dont even remember what reason made no sense and was super uninteresting. Just make it a silly courtroom drama, parody famous cases and films, scummy companies, focus on the absurdity of it all, and you would have an absolute banger on your hands.
>>
>>223025822
i mostly agree. i was laughing out loud at the old clips but think i may have been the only one but there werent many people in the cinema. the deadpan women and fat jew were funny though, everyone else sucked and the chink was especially weird since they say shes supposed to be his niece and i at this point i dont even think it needs to be mentioned but the nigger was unnecessary

are you telling me you didnt laugh when the jew was sniffing the entire five gallon bucket of glue?
>>
>>223026046
>are you telling me you didnt laugh when the jew was sniffing the entire five gallon bucket of glue?
i dont remember that scene and i dont know who "the jew" is supposed to be.
>>
>>223026046
Ok wait that was funny damn you’re right but that fat Jew is in every fucking comedy in the last 20 years. So when I see him I just get turned off. I also liked him getting destroyed by the Road Runner but the the Road Runner is just instant comedy every time he’s on screen.

Although he also made me cry during the court scene.

Depending on the language / region / regulation, the decimal separators can be either be a comma instead of a dot, as far as I know, most Spanish-speaking places use comma, so does Portuguese. It's one of those things you never consider there might be a difference depending who you ask because of how mundane it is.
>>
>>223025407

One must imagine Wile E Coyote happy
>>
>>223026805

But also, here's the slamdunk piece of evidence so they actually succeed anyway. It undermines it.

he got the evidence because he chose to fight it out and the trial got public attention. if he had never stuck it out the evidence would have never seen light
>>
>>223020390
Honestly when it comes to looney tunes and Disney shorts I feel like they don’t really work with being in full feature length films, because most of the time the characters can resolve the plot of the film with their cartoon logic. That is why what’s his face was against space jam back in the day because he knew bugs bunny would have fixed everything without Michael Jordan’s help but because it’s all about the money he couldn’t really object.

90s wise, the big 6 where
Bugs, Daffy, Taz, Porky, Tweety, and Road Runner.
Now the thing is, the Tweety and Road Runner where interchangeable with Wild E and Sylvester since they where a pair. So it was really Sylvester and Tweety and Wild E and Road Runner.

I was mildly interested then I saw it was 3d shit unconvincingly trying to pass as 2d
Like, can you you support that on principle? That's not the theatrical quality. Think about Who framed Roger Rabbit.
>>
>>223029108
many disagree
>>
>>223029288
Supergirl came and went and nobody cared. People are only interested in Batgirl because it was shelved. There's an allure to lost media because your imagination fills in the blanks as to what could have been, but reality is rarely as interesting.
>>
>>223029140
i am thinking about who framed roger rabbit, now what
>>
I felt like the movie was funny. I think the ending was missing something since foghorn was clearly sensitive to being seen as weak but the ending bit just kind of happens.
Turning the supreme Court itself into a big joke was very funny to me.

I also just like looney toons and they're consistently at least a 7/10 so I got my $12 worth
>>
>>223020390
Lana Condor was hot as fuck, I love how she was a bit chubbier in this flick.

Just wish she wouldn't have had waxed everything, she has such a nice body and qt face.

>>223026897
>But also, here's the slamdunk piece of evidence so they actually succeed anyway. It undermines it.
I don't get it? The ending clearly shows they lost?

They tried with LeBeta of course it flopped

I hate Forte like you wouldn't imagine.

Anon's referring to the videos Bugs leaked after the trial, which resulted in Foghorn and Buddy getting arrested.

Most of the time Road runner is using Mel Blanc stock recording.

They should've just done that for the whole movie. It's not like he's sobbing hysterically when he testifies.

>titan AE
bad example. its first act is fine but then at the mid point for no reason at all the captain just becomes a turbo space nazi and suicides himself for nothing lol like was the point of his arc?
>supposed to be a space pirate captain
>establish that he hates the dren and will do anything for money
>establish that the dren are energy based creatures that act like bees with a queen and have no interest in money
>get told there is a way to defeat them and restore humanity
>suddenly turn into Adolf Hitler
>kill your loyal crew
>treat the survivors like shit
>make a secret deal with the dren after establishing that they dont care about deals or money or anything other than killing your dumb ass
>the dren accept the deal as the plot requires it
>the dren then do nothing at all for 30 mins while you have a showdown with Mac_Guffin
>the guy who not only told you that humanity can be saved and showed you how to do it but also said you'd be a hero for all eternity for doing it and get to be a king on paradise planet
>so anyway you die like a BITCH lamo

>refuse to release it
>let subsidiary grab the bag
>refuse to market it
Literally no one at all knows its even a movie thats released lol so no, retard. Its not going to have a big opening because its relying entirely on word of mouth.

Drinker believed it could be a tolerable 6/10 with Firefly as the main villain. In a hypothetical scenario with no woke inserted everywhere.

There, I found your problem. It was made to be a bomb.

>nearly everyone outside of /tv/ loves it
uh huh
>>
>>223031015
Right, cause everyone hates Guardians of the Galaxy...
>>
>>223031075
If everyone outside of /tv/ loves hows the box office then? You cant say everyone and then showing me a 30m box office. 30m is not "nearly everyone". Who is everyone if not the audience? the audience that is not there obviously.
>>
>>223031297
minimal advertising
normies don't even know it's out, same issue TDTEBU had
>>
>>223020724
It was the worst for Foghorn, but mostly wasn't terrible. Really could have used some fine tuning.
>>
>>223020390
I heard about this movie, thought it's cool but then I read what it's actually about and put it on the very, very end of my backburner so I can be disappointed with it in like 50 years.
>>
>>223020390
Every Time a Looney Tunes movie comes out I hear it from here. There is always zero advertising.
>>
>>223024035
this looks legitimately terrible jesus christ
i don t feel bad about this flopping now
>>
>>223031753
It's a bit amusing. In the next 5 movies you watch, absolutely one will be worse. Not earth shattering or anything but cartoons are fun.

hence why it'll become a classic, fandoms are already making tons of toxic/doomed yaoi edits
>>

Yes, James, it will be become a classic.

This is a dogshit movie for kids 6 and under. You have to be legitimately retarded to think it was good or to enjoy it.
>>
>>223020390
I liked it
>>
>>223020390
I don't like that this film was championed as some kind of "return of Roger rabbit"/return of animated film, and like every single animated element is some ugly 3DCG shit.
>>
>>223027998
>John Cena is more animated than the literal cartoon
Smdh
>>
>>223028699
Yes little guy, that is how things work in the real world. Successful people don't care how their money is made and aren't on 4chan larping that streaming money isn't real in some weird cope cycle.
>>
>>223024035
It looks like a Dragon Ball game.
>>
>>223027976
Sure, but Coyote vs. Acme was more than four times more expensive.
>>
>>223033442
They really should just pump out full animated movies every year. The day the earth blew up was quite good, I'd take plenty more of those
>>
>>223033425
The animation is janky and pretty low budget but you get used to it because there's some good jokes and the character interactions keep things moving. The main problem is that the animated human characters like Granny and Elmer Fudd really look bad, like something from the Xbox 360. In hindsight there's a reason why they're showed off the least.
>>
>>223026737
>this movie got fucked by buddy imo.
Really? I liked his dynamic with Foghorn.
>>
>>223033907
nta
in the event you're not joking, and i acknowledge you may very well be, buddy is also the name of an evil barney knockoff movie released on the same day
>>
>>223033924
This movie was always fucked and I think WB probably had the right idea forever shelving it. It's one of those cases where "no matter when we release it, some other movie people actually give a shit about will eat our lunch"
Not to say it shouldn't ever come out, but I see why money people thought it was better to just say fuck it
