>LOL, look at all these normies and wagecucks. They're not even enlightened by their own intelligence.

Disney is teaching girls the wrong lesson as always. It's why modern women are obsessed with "taming the beast" idea.

Then when the baker is nice to her and asks how she's doing despite being busy, she starts sperging out about the last manga she read, before the baker politely cuts her off because he's busy making food for people like her to surivive, and he was just asking to be nice. Belle then rolls her eyes, basically spelling out "lol, fucking normies, amiright?".

Would Belle have gotten used to Prince Adam's demon monster-man form, given enough time? Maybe even prefer it? She didn't seem to be into the things that most normal girls would find attractive. I need a Beauty and the Beast where the MC is the villain Gaston like Wicked, except not gay and retarded like wicked.

>Gaston and Belle childhood friends
>Gaston promises to marry her when they grow up
>become estranged after her mom dies and she retreats into her books
>Gaston focuses on becoming a good provider to take care of Belle
>Other men don't want Belle because she didn't have a mom to teach her how to be a dutiful wife

>Beast gets Belle to stay with him
>Rose mysteriously only starts dropping petals after she arrives
>Gaston genuinely tries to free her from the castle, but the possessed furniture stops him
>He comes back with his gun and loses the fight, but is still alive
>Asks to trade places with Belle for her freedom
>Belle refuses
>last night and the last petal falls
>the Beast's castle disappears and Belle is gone forever
>>
>>223813011
Dude. Beauty and the Beast is public domain. You can absolutely write a novel or script with this premise.
>>
>>223813091
But I'm too scared of writing the parts about the Beast cucking Gaston. And I lack the nuance to make it a subtle faustian deal with the devil.
>>
>>223813091
Gaston isn’t in the original fairy tale. He was created for the Disney version.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney animated movie and i think it's objectively THE best Disney animate movie ever made.
However.
It is also absolutely the moviet tha laid out the groundwork for 80-90s generation (now 30-40yo) of girls' toxic anti-patriarchy mindset.
Because Belle character is quintesential "Fuck you incel, i'll go do down for an incel with a car and penthouse" and "I want the prince as long as he is just a little bit less of a douche" whore that taught girls all the wrong lessons.

>>
>>223813011
This would be a pretty solid warning about materialistic women. Just remove the stuff invented by Disney's team, like the living furniture. The old fairy tale versions have invisible servants or animal servants. Gaston probably needs a name change.

>>223813699
If you use the same name for a similar character, then they have a valid legal case against you. You're free to use the name for an entirely different character.
>>
>>223807658
disney didnt invent it, just capitalized on it
>>
>>223808282
that library is retarded big. beast is an upper end aristocrat but not the king of england.
>>
>>223816353
They kind of did. The Beast is entirely different in the original fairy tale. Disney's Beast starts as an aggressive asshole who needs to be "fixed" by Belle. The original fairy tale Beast acts like a gentleman towards Belle right from when they first meet. The fairy tale is a story of Belle learning to look past appearances, not a story of Belle taming the Beast like the Disney version.
>>
This effect has been understudied. Pathological fiction readers are the same kind of passive do nothing consoomers as anyone else. Women read a fuck ton now and it's all useless junk, arguably worse than useless it feeds into various disorders and maladjustments.

Not all information is good.
>>
>>223808178
>But he threw it all away for a ho who made it very clear she didn't like him.
He didn't do it for Belle. She was kidnapped by a beast. It wasn't about Belle. He would have done the same for anyone from the village who had been kidnapped.
He was the village hero.

It's one of my favorites too, but it's easy to argue that it appeals to some of the more self-destructive tendencies women have. It's not too far removed from 50 Shades Of Grey. It's a much better work of course, but what I'm saying is that they both probably tickle the exact same parts of the female brain.

Wait a minute. Is Beauty & The Best literally just isekai-tier powerfantasyslop, but for chicks instead of dudes? Woah.
>>
>>223821658
The successful ones are, but there's plenty of genuine grass roots uprisings. You can find them under the heading of "failed rebellions". The main problem with the lower classes is they don't know how to build institutional power, so a popular uprising without aristocratic backing tends to fall apart on its own, sometimes even before they achieve any success. It's not even really a question of charisma, intelligence, or education, it's specifically about the skills that go into building dynasties and generational wealth and power. 99% of people do not learn these skills, it's not really relevant to their lives. But if you want to stand up a new government and have it last longer than a generation (at the longest) you'd best have somebody who knows how to do this. Even if you're not trying to create a new royal dynasty you still need people who can think about how to invest and secure power across generations, or your institutions will crumble.

While I was dependent on them? Almost totally. In that anything I was expressly told to do, I did. But if something wasn't explicitly forbidden to me, I had a little wiggle room, even if I knew they wouldn't approve. I didn't get up to a lot of mischief as a child, I basically never had to be punished more than once for a type of misbehavior.

After I moved out, I stopped seeing my parents as an authority in my life. I'm still grateful to them for raising me and maintain a cordial relationship, I see them on most Holidays, etc, but they're not in charge of me anymore so I don't owe them any obedience.

>>223821965
It is heavily dependent on the society, but essentially it's about stacking the deck, so to speak, to ensure whatever power you have gained does not disappear when you die, but goes into specific peoples' hands. This could be your family, or it could be carefully selected successors. It's not really about gaming inheritance laws (although that is a strategy you can use in some cases) so much as it is creating institutions, titles, and legitimizing forces that you can use to mold the next generation as well as bestow upon them the trappings of leadership that will be recognized by the public.

And managing the public is a big part of building power over generations. Indeed, power is really measured in how easily you can command others, without having to use real force to back up your commands. The more easily you are obeyed, the more you can accomplish, because your resources are not wasted on forcing compliance with the most basic of your directives. It is possible for a fairly small amount of force to hold up a much greater amount of effective power, if it is properly institutionalized so that the common people see it as a fact of life. Take paying taxes in the US. People treat this as an inevitability ("death and taxes" etc) and while there are always a few rogues who try to get out of payment, the government nonetheless collects trillions of dollars in tax revenues every year, simply by asking people to do it. That is power not dependent upon one man's charisma or ability, not dependent upon the active use of violence against the people, but the sheer weight of institutional authority.
>>
>>223822376
And if the baker doesn't do his job, his neighbors don't have any bread, and get upset about that. Nobody's depending on Belle to show up and condescend prettily to them.
